Ghosts of the Wood Apple Tree

This story is one that is very famous among the old people of the place where this takes place. As the place is very famous I shall not mention any names.

The family of my maternal grandmother was a very rich and politically important one. Only princesses which remained in India were married to the sons of that family. One such princess was my maternal grandmother’s grandmother. She was not only from a royal family but also a very spiritual person. It is said that when she entered her place of worship (built specially for her), the bells use to ring by themselves. She could be seen talking to Krishna, the one she was devoted to. She would be immersed in her prayer so much so as she would even forget that she needed to eat and sleep. She was married into this family to the only son of a politician. The house was basically a fort with over a …

A Little People Episode

I’ve read several stories that had references to little people. I’ve heard from  those who claim to have seen them when they were children or have relatives that had direct dealings with them. Here is one from a place that all of the residence still hold to certain beliefs. One of which is Deer woman, and little people.

When I lived in “Kenwood” Oklahoma for a short time the Cherokees, (this was an all Cherokee town, but not a reservation. Located in north eastern Oklahoma), believed in little people they called junstees (sp?, That’s how it sounded when they said the word). The closest definition on the net I found is located below; Many people there had junstee stories.

(Inserted by CareTaker) “The Little People of the Cherokee are a race of Spirits who live in rock caves on the mountain side. They are little fellows and ladies reaching almost to your knees. They are well shaped and handsome, and …

The Philadelphia Experiment

This entry was submitted as a comment to Vanishing in the 4th Dimension, it was so interesting that I have decided to post it as its own seperate article:

This reminds me of a TV documentary show I watched many years ago. About a government experiment done towards the end of WWII called the “Philadelphia experiment”. The experiment was to find some way to camouflage large naval ships by using magnetism which was suppose to make the ships seem to become invisible.

So the story goes. The ship they conducted this test upon was manned by a small crew of scientist and sailors, and a few tethered animals. And there was an ample contingent of support and observation ships with some top brass on board those to document what happens. When the switch was thrown, a loud hum seemed to emanate around the test ship and a green mist filled the air around it as well. The noise got …

The Irish Banshee the Women of the Fairy Mounds

The Irish Banshee is typically known as a foreteller of death and is associated with the people of the mounds, commonly called The Good People or Fearies/Fairy. They also may be an ancestral spirit appointed to forewarn members of certain ancient Irish families of their time of death such as the O’Brians, O’Gradys and so forth.

Common Forms of the Banshee

The three most common forms of Banshee are usually a washing maid with blood stained on her apron, an old woman clothed in a grey cloak to represent mourning, or a beautiful young woman in tattered clothing, suggesting a rape. There are also stories about handsome young men setting off into forests searching for Fearie Gold and coming across a Fearie Mound.

Soon after they cross the path of the Mound they meet a young maiden in the woods, sitting on a stump and combing her hair with a silver comb. This is of course, a Banshee. Usually the …

Shadow Creatures and the Tuurnagait in the Woods

As a 77 year old man, I have lived an extraordinary life and have seen many things, but none of things that ever happened to me was as terrifying or horrific as when I spent my first summer as a 14 year old boy in the pacific northwest on a camping trip. The memory of that time still terrorizes me to this day when I think of it. I want to share my story with all of you.

It was 1946, just one year after WW 2. My father moved the family (my mother, younger sister and me) from Chicago to Washington State. My father was offered and accepted a job in the logging industry, and after the war, we all packed up everything we owned and headed out on the road together. As I recall it took us about a week. I was excited and nervous about the move we were making. Little did I know at that time …

Paranormal Encounters In Hawaii

My name is James Among, I currently live in Los Angeles but I was born and raised on the Hawaiian Island of Oahu. Hawaii is said to be one of the top hotspots for paranormal activity, and trust me, that statement is true. VERY TRUE.

Several Paranormal events happened to me as I grew up on the islands. When I was around the age of 11 or 12 I used to be super religious, I was scared as hell when the year 2000 was coming around, everyone I knew made it seem like the world would end right when the clock struck 12:00 am on new years. Well, 2000 came and nothing happened. I slowly began to lose my faith in Christianity and then that’s when everything went really bad.

One night I was sleeping, I turned over on my stomach and then I suddenly felt a chill and froze. Either it was a Demon or one of the choking …

Vanishing Into Another Dimension?

There are many strange stories of mysterious disappearances. Everybody knows about Amelia Earhart, the Mary Celeste, Jimmy Hoffa and maybe even Ambrose Bierce, and hot zones of strange activity like the Bermuda Triangle and similar locations like the Bass Strait Triangle, The Michigan Triangle and the Devil’s Sea but I wanted to investigate the more mysterious and strange disappearances. All of these stories are true and can be found on the internet for further investigation.

In 1815, a prisoner in a Prussian gulag, named Diderici was in a chain gang walking in the prison yard for the day’s exercise. As Diderici walked with his prison inmates, he slowly began to fade in and out of view. His body became more and more transparent until Diderici disappeared altogether, and his manacles and leg irons fell empty to the ground.

On September 23, 1880, David Lang was walking across the grounds of his farm to meet Judge August Peck, and Lang’s brother-in-law, …

In Search Of Quetzalcoatl

When Shannon McCabe (President of HPI) and I, went to Chichen Itza, we were walking through history.  A find that may have it’s roots in East Asia, India, Crete and with an extraterrestrial alliance.

Quetzalcoatl was described as a white god with pale skin and blue eyes.  Quetzalcoatl and his away team all wore black coarse robes and traveled in foreign ships with swan wings.  The hulls of the ships glowed so brightly, that it was hard to look upon by the Indians of these indigenous cultures.  Quetzalcoatl was known by several names.

The Toltecs and Aztecs refer him as Quetzalcoatl.  The people of the Incas called him Viracocha.  The Mayans called him Kukulcan.  The Chibchas called him Bochica.  The Aymara from Peru called him Hyustus.  It appears that Quetzalcoatl must have had a fast flying vehicle that could take him from Mexico to Central America to South America.  What kind of ship could transport a fair skinned god around …

The Mohini (Beautiful Woman With Inverted Feet)

In a town in Uttranchal  Pradesh, India  every  night at 12:00 people used to see a beautiful woman in a white Sari (a long skirt with a short blouse inside and the blouse was covered with the leftover of the long skirt). So they used to follow her and throw stones at her and  she would move a little faster and suddenly disappear.

People wondered why she used to do this. Some boys too  had heard about this strange experience. They too decided to follow her. They waited till 12:00 and soon found her. They also started following her everyday.

One day when the boys followed her, she stopped and when she turned around, the boys saw she had inverted feet and red eyes. The boys were terrified. They tried to run but  they could not escape, she killed them. Anyone who passed that place at that particular time back then would soon be found dead. Even policemen could not …

Facts & Myths About the Bermuda Triangle

The Bermuda triangle is region located in north-western Atlantic Ocean in which numerous aircraft and surface vessels have disappeared. Some people claim that these disappearances fall beyond the boundaries of acts of nature or even human error and instead attribute the disappearances to a variety of explanations including the paranormal, suspensions in the laws of physics, and even activities by extraterrestrial beings.

Numerous investigations by government agencies and the like have gone on record stating that the number of disappearances in the Bermuda Triangle is not all that different from the number of disappearances in any other proportionate area of any other ocean.

Fairies And Elves Creatures Of Legend

A FairyWho likes elves and fairies?

Many of us have little statues, or even toys, made in the form of a fairy or an elf. They are  some of my favorite collectibles along with dragons.

Most of the fairies and elves we see in artwork, posters, t-shirts and sculpted into figurines appear to be very friendly and often beautiful. In reality, that is at least in the legends and lore, elves and fairies are rarely harmless or cute.

Paul D Roberts, a True Ghost Tales guest writer, has written a very interesting article about these wee folk of legend and lore.

Roberts tells us about the history and background of mankind’s beliefs in fairies and elves.

You may be very surprised to find out how similar these creatures are to aliens. Is it possible that the truth behind the legends of fairies and elves actually originated from encounters with aliens?

Roberts also outlines the major types of fairies and elves …

Writings About the Hidden Fount of Magic

The enigma of a prehistoric advanced society has mystified seekers after ancient wisdom and perplexed writers for more than two thousand years. In the modern Info-Age,  New Age online book store browsers have at their disposal a massive list of publications alluding to the myth of Atlantis.

There are more thoughts regarding what that fantastic island entailed and beneath which sea the remnants can be recovered than virtually any other tale of primordial people. Yet the tale of a lost continent which perished in a Deluge has endured exactly because it resonates so clearly as we confront what may turn out to be our own Deluge or Golden Age.

Plato originally wrote chronicling a forgotten Paradise, known as Atlantis, around 355 BC. His version suggests Atlantis lay “beyond the pillars of Hercules” and had perished about ten thousand years prior.

Prolific author Edgar Cayce described the island as a vast continent, rivaling the dimensions of Greenland. As recounted in the …
