Ghost Stories & Paranormal Encounters

I’m not sure what to make of what happened early this morning, but in our spare bedroom both myself, my father and on one occasion my friend and my boyfriend have experienced sounds of footsteps. My dad has actually seen the figure of a tall man dressed in black cross the landing from the living room to the spare bedroom.

My boyfriend left early for work at 6:30 this morning. After he’d gone I soon fell asleep only to be woken up an hour or so later by a very strange feeling not long after my parents had woken up for work. I was lying on my left side and all of my body except for my left arm was underneath my duvet. All of a sudden I felt two ‘feet’ either side of mine, followed by an unseen force pinning down my entire body either side of me. The only part of me I could move was my free left arm. I started to panic as I realized I couldn’t move at all and the feeling of someone standing either side of me and holding me down increased. This lasted for about 4 or 5 minutes then the strange atmosphere and pressure lifted.

I thought at first it was simply psychosomatic or a dream, but before the pressure released I peered out from the duvet as best I could and saw the pinched duvet all around my body; it looked as though I was a small child whose mother had tucked her into her bed. I also think I saw a sort of ‘orb’ very briefly but this may have been a trick of the early morning light or my bleary eyes.

All who’ve experienced anything in my home have confirmed that they’ve never felt threatened, although my dad was slightly frightened when he experienced a figure in the kitchen, but ultimately there has never been any feeling of danger or that the occurrences are malicious. I wasn’t afraid when this happened this morning, just confused and slightly worried.

I would be very interested to hear any comments and to know if anyone has ever experienced anything similar to this?
