Completely Powerless to Move and an Evil Presence

Posted on February 13, 2011

One night several months ago I was just about to fall asleep, I was not in a particularly good or relaxed mood but when I got into my bed I felt a warm comfort encompass me and immediately felt myself starting to fall asleep. Looking back on it the feeling was much more than falling asleep, it was loosing consciousness.

I remember thinking how black the darkness was in my eyelids for a moment before I was slipping away. Then a few things started to happen simultaneously; there was a slight ringing in my ears, and my body started to shake (I’ve often felt this before, very strange, physical whole body vibration), and very quickly did both of these increase. The ringing became louder in increments as the vibration turned into an all out violent shake that was shaking me in the air and the ringing became and unbearable, unworldly screeching painful thing. At the same time as these things something was pulling me down my bed and actually Down (as in below) as well. All the time this was happening I was absolutely sure that there was someone else in the room with me.

I was completely powerless to move, resist or cry out until a time then I was able to feebly scoot myself up my bed, half sit, then lay down again because my body felt heavy. I thought “Wow what was that?!” but then I felt my consciousness drifting off again so comforting and sleep seemed a good reprieve from the experience. And then it started all over again, the increasing ringing, accompanied with the increasing vibration into full body shaking, the black black darkness, the pulling of my body down down down, the evil presence in the room with me – just to my right, until I could pull my self up again, sort of, and it stopped, and I felt myself drifting off again into warm comforting sleep. It starting again immediately. I was able to note the time in between experiences. After the third time I was conscious that I needed to get up but I could not. This continued for 6 hours into the night without a break until I was finally able to lift my numb hands and try to grope for the light, knocking things down until I found the switch, then turn on the TV and sound to keep myself awake. My hands and arms were literally numb, could not feel, as were my lower extremities. I didn’t sleep a wink the rest of the night.

When trying to explain the terrifying experience to my family, each individually asked me the same question: “Were you on drugs?” The answer was no. I was not on drugs of any kind or alcohol nor had I recently to that time. I have never been diagnosed or accused of having any kind of neurological or psychological disorder. It was the single most terrifying experience of my life! The process was so violent I didn’t have time to think, the terror was complete and I definitely felt an evil presence with me in the room. That was the only thing I was sure of! That and that it was not a sleeping experience! I have a complete history of lucid dreaming, I lucidly dream almost every night – since as far back as I can remember. I am familiar with the feeling of being asleep and drifting to sleep. This was a waking experience, I can’t say it reminded me of anything I’ve experienced before. It was violent, terrifying, confusing, draining. I had no time to think about it, it hurt.

Although I had an experience with what I considered to be, not a ghost, but an evil entity when I was about 11 years old in the same room. After a long strange experience in which I came out feeling not the victor, the experience ended. But I can get into that at another time. I still live in the same room. I see “spirits” every time I enter the hallway, I try not to think about it because it scares me, even though one of my lucid encounters was in no way negative. And I still, and have for as long as I can remember, feel a person sit on my bed (sometimes) as I am laying down to go to sleep. sometimes on the lower half of my body. I open my eyes and see the dark shape of a person. When I turn on the light I see the translucent shape of a person. I calm myself and turn the light back off. Also I’d like to add that in the past, a few times, I have experienced more “typical” sleep paralysis; I am going to sleep and I feel a great pressure on my body and I cannot move an inch of anything.

Does anyone have any input? This is the first time I have tried sharing these stories with others people who have also experienced spirits and seem sure about their experiences. Thank you for reading, thank you for being yourselves, thank you for trusting yourselves.
