My grandparents were from Bulgaria, and from a few countries after that, as far as my myth of our heritage, I think we’re a Germanic family, I cannot know the truth however, nobody in my family knows. Well anyway, my family lived in Bulgaria, I do not know which province, yet my mother and my grandmother told me stories of their paranormal, they told the truth, I believe them because a few things happened to me. My mother told me of the Ghost Bride, who was killed before marrying, I don’t know how, however the Bride was a good lady, often coming into peoples’ houses and washing their dishes at night, wearing her wedding clothes. However, the most important story is the Dwarfs of Bulgaria.
My great grandfather was a high-ranked soldier in the Army and apparently he had wonderful sapphire eyes, and my other great-grandfather who had emerald eyes, like mine. My great-grandfather who had blue eyes’ name was Abraham. Grandfather Abraham was a pure-hearted man, he had his story with the dwarfs. The dwarfs liked Abraham quite, and I’m interested in the paranormal, so once I read a book about how faeries make Men (does not denote gender) their King or Queen when they like them much. So my great-grandfather was, theoretically speaking, The King of Dwarfs. I cannot be sure of this though. The dwarfs once spilled water on my grandmother while sleeping, they would ruin the kitchen, our family believes God is a gifting creator, so why wouldn’t the creator create other creatures?
There is a myth in those parts of area which when you place an onion near a tree, since Bulgaria is rich in woodlands, which forests are natural, and faeries are natural, and I have learned to live like them, when you place an onion near a tree, a dwarf eats it and places gold in thanks. Since then, like genes, it has passed down from son to daughter to son. My great-grandfather to my grandfather and then to my mother and to me.
