Here is another older photograph that was taken in 1942 at a wedding, hence the nickname “Wedding Day Ghost”. Many people believe this photo shows a ghost in the trees behind the newlyweds. Who is she? Could it be that she is a past love interest to the groom? Perhaps she is angry that he is getting married.
What do you think about this “ghost picture”? Is this really a ghost that we see which seems to be flying from out of the tree branches? Or is it just an optical illusion, an exceptionally detailed example of pareidolia?
Here is what some of our forum members had to say about this picture:
“Fake or not, great picture. Some of the best photos I have seen are from earlier time periods such as this.” ~ aprofenno
“Great picture, seems like that ghost was a little jealous and getting ready to give the bride “what for”. For me, it’s hard to believe that a picture like this that has so much detail can simply be pareidolia. It looks way to real to just be the imagination creating something familiar. But, I’m no expert on photos.” ~ Haunted
“Here is the problem I see, we don’t know who did the picture. We have no negative. We look at it as an old picture and our mind tells us they couldn’t modify a picture back then. Well this is where we make a mistake. Its on the internet so it can very well be modified now to still look old…… While it is a unusual picture and I definitely don’t think pareidolia, if it was a real picture I wonder why it wasn’t ever presented with the negative? I say fake all the way. ” ~ UglyNRude
