I was an average three year old little girl, who liked to play with dolls and Barbie’s. I didn’t know what a ghost was and now I’m 15 years old and the fear and the nightmare still stays with me.
This is how it all started. My mum tucked me into bed and kissed me goodnight, “sweet dreams” she said. But that night was far from sweet.
I woke up in the middle of the night to go to the toilet. And there was a man standing at my door. I didn’t know who he was. I said “hello”, but he just stood there and didn’t say anything. I then said to him “I need the toilet, excuse me”, but he would not move. I moved closer towards him. He lifted his head and glared into my eyes. A cold shiver went straight down my spine and I started to get goose bumps. He then suddenly vanished.
I went to the toilet and then went into my mums room. The man was now leaning over my mums bed then he turned his head and looked at me. He whispered, “tebray”. Again the shiver went down my spine. This wasn’t good. I screamed “MOMMY WAKE UP.”
She woke up, then again he suddenly faded. A couple of nights passed, then he appeared again when I needed the toilet, only thing is though, he was standing outside of it and wouldn’t let me go. So I wet myself and screamed the house down.
A few months went past and he was still torturing me, I didn’t know what to do, I was too scared to fall asleep. My mum started to get worried, I wasn’t sleeping, I couldn’t eat. So she decided to move out.
When every thing was out and my granddad had shut all of the windows and was about to lock the front door, my bedroom door slammed shut even though there were no windows open. So I wasn’t imagining things. There really is such a thing as the boogey man, I should know I lived through it.
This story is based on a true story, and Natalie Nelson had to live her life petrified. This was real and you are the first people I’ve ever shared my story with, just to let you know that there is such thing called the boogeyman. I should know I’ve lived through it.
