Ghost Stories & Paranormal Encounters

As long as I can remember, I have always been the one visited by “something or someone” before or after a death, or just whenever.

I can remember when my grandmother passed away when I was 9 years old on Christmas day. Directly after she passed, my sisters and I, who all slept upstairs, would hear footsteps going up and down the stairs. My bedroom was directly across from my sisters room. During this time, I would hear “heavy breathing” coming from under my bed. My grandmother passed away for pneumonia which she developed while hanging Christmas lights for us kids.

Well you can image that between the footsteps up and down the stairs and the breathing and being only 9 years old (my sisters were both younger), it scared the heck out of us.

As we screamed for our mother, she seems to know exactly what was going on. She explained to us that it was just our grandmother checking on us to make sure we were okay and not to be afraid. She said she told spoke grandma that she was scarring us, and everything stopped.

Well that’s what I thought, from then on there’s always been something strange going on. I seem to be the one who is visited whenever there is a death or is going to be one. Lights will go off and on, light bulbs will burn out, TVs will go off and on, birds will appear, especially crows, except one time when my daughters grandfather on her dad’s side passed, then one white dove appear on my windowsill and stayed there for 2 days. All sorts of strange things.

The reason I am writing this story is because there is one thing that started happening about 10 years ago when I moved into this rental. Loud banging on the floor under my bed, now and then the bed would shake and this would also happen even if I was laying on the couch in the living room.

The thing is, there was no basement in this house, only dirt and the furnace. To get down to the furnace, you would have to go through floor in my closet. Lifting up the hatch and climbing down a ladder. Ok fine… I went down there over and over again, thinking maybe there was an animal trapped or something. Nothing… I asked my neighborhoods would lived in the house before me if they had experience anything… No. So I just chalked it up to another one of my psychic experiences. This would always happen at night. I could lay in my bed all day long… nothing until nighttime. And not every night, but when it happened, it was always really loud… Bang… Bang…

Ok, moving forward, I moved… well guess what… it’s happening again in the house I live in now, which by the way does have a basement. I have tried to cleanse both houses, but it still goes on in my new home.

What is going on? It has gotten to the point, that I go home at night and state out loud, “look, I’m tired of you waking me up at night, and I want to get some sleep, so if you are going to start your noise, then do it now.”  Sometimes there’s nothing and then other nights, it will happen a couple of times. Just a really loud ‘bang’.

I have to admit, there are nights when it scares me cause I don’t know what’s going on and why. I can’t get rid of it, then there are other nights, I just say… Whatever!

My mother just passed again in October. She passed on a Monday, but I didn’t find out until the next day. After learning that she had passed, I remembered that the night before (which would have been the day she passed), my TV went off and on and lights flickering.

You know I can handle that, what I want to know is what or who is making all the banging noise and how did it follow me to my new home, and how do I get rid of it. Any suggestions?
