Ghost Stories & Paranormal Encounters

I’m 26 and often have nightmares. Some are so vivid and disturbing they stay with me most of the next day. I’d like to tell a few lucid ones.

One night id been asleep for a few hours when I either sat up in bed or was dreaming that I did. I was looking straight ahead of me into the corner of my room in front of my closet. Standing there in front of my closet and next to my chest of drawers was a small boy of about the age of 6.

He was dressed in a navy blue jumper and jeans, he was a little taller than my chest of drawers and had short brown hair.He started to come towards me and reached out his hand towards my face. I recoiled and moved back further up the bed.He stretched forward and touched my chin, well this really freaked me out because I felt it and his hand felt cold!

With that I screamed at him and leapt forward and pushed him backwards.As I did so I felt him, he felt solid which shocked me.My push sent him backwards hitting his head on my chest of drawers, what was really freaky -I heard the crack! Then he was gone and I realized I was awake sitting of the edge of my bed with my feet on the floor and my heart pounding! The boy was not there and my husband and children were still fast asleep.

In another dream I dreamt that I was woken by someone saying my name.I looked around the room and at first what I saw was a towel hanging off my bedroom door handle and my chest of drawers with a deodorant spray right on the edge.

Then my name was said again and I turned to look where it was coming from and I saw a man crouching on the footboard of my bed. Behind him the window was open and my curtain was blowing slightly,I noted that I had left the window open because it was a hot summer night.

I watched this being and he watched me, he had long lank brown hair, a pale complexion and long finger nails.He started to speak to me (I cant remember what he said) all I can remember is that I was scared out of my wits and felt that I should try to befriend him so he wouldn’t harm me.

While he was speaking I turned to look at my husband and he was sleeping with his back to me, I thought I could hear him breathing.I sat and listened to the being as he spoke and leered, trying to look as if I didn’t mind him. Then I told him that if he left now I would promise to leave the window open in future so he could visit and continue the conversation, but I was very tired now. To my relief he agreed and left.

The next morning I woke up and had forgotten about my dream until I noticed the towel hanging off my door handle and sure enough the deodorant spray was right on the edge of my chest of drawers! Boy did I get the creeps!

Finally the last is about being in my mums house where I grew up (A lot of strange things happened to my in my teens here) I was standing in the hall next to my old bedroom door (my old room is now my mothers room) with my two year old son. He was running up and down the hall. I went and sat down on the sofa in the living room facing my old bedroom door, when my son came toddling back down the hall the bedroom door opened as he passed, and this short goblin thing came out and tried to grab him.

I ran towards them and snatched my son and the goblin started cussing me, then disappeared into the bedroom, I was angry and went after it. Inside the room was dark and the atmosphere thick.

Suddenly these angry growling voices started cussing and shouting at me, then one of the heavy velour curtains blew up making a swooshing noise. I ran and the dream ended.

I told my mum about it the next day and she said to me “that’s spooky because about two weeks ago I was laying in bed about to go to sleep, when the curtain suddenly blew up from the bottom and it did make a swooshing noise, but no windows were open!” Turned out it was even the same curtain panel as in my dream, and there are two windows in that room.
