I’m 15 but all my life I remember knowing that spirits exist. Mostly it would just be feeling like I was being watched or when I was by myself I never really felt like I was truly by myself. Other times it could be seeing something, hearing something or being touched.
The first experience I can clearly remember was when I was three or four I was in bed trying to fall asleep and it must have been late at night because my parents and baby brother were all asleep. I remember my closet door being open and it being too dark to see anything clearly but I was staring at it (I don’t remember why I was staring at the closet) when suddenly I saw eyes come out from behind something and the eyes stared at me then looked up and to the right then disappeared in that direction. I don’t know if its important or not but where they disappeared at is where there’s a door to the attic crawl space.
I like to talk to my dad about ghosts and paranormal stuff because he believes and he’s had a lot of experiences but we used to live in a house when my parents were first married until I was about a year or two old and from what he’s told me it was very haunted but one thing he told me that really surprised me was that there used to be a rocking chair in my room that my dad said would rock on its own and all he could see was a pair of eyes in the rocking chair. Apparently this happened every night.
Later we moved a town over because it was closer to my mom’s work and again the rocking chair was in my room and again the chair would rock with only a pair of eyes visible. From what my dad told me we’re also sure it was a little kid.
Another experience I’ve had was that when I was in elementary school (I might have been anywhere between 3rd and 5th grade). I would stay in a daycare type place on breaks and everyday they’d pick kids to do certain jobs (i.e. sweep, wash tables, dust pan, etc.) and since I was the only girl left there I was given the job of cleaning the bathroom (scrub counters and pick up garbage). I’m not sure why but being alone in the bathroom made me feel uneasy, like at any second I would turn around and see someone standing behind me. Anyways I started cleaning the counters when I heard really heavy breathing in my ear. For a second I froze and my heart started beating almost as loudly as the breathing. I turned around and didn’t see anybody there but the breathing didn’t stop. At first I tried to ignore it but when I started shaking and didn’t know what to do I walked out of the trying to calm down. I never experienced that again.
When I was in 6th grade I decided I wanted to practice my flute in my parents bedroom because my room was too messy and I wouldn’t bother anybody. My parents’ conditions for when I practice is that I have to have the door closed when I practice but going into my parents room by myself always made me feel like I wasn’t alone so I left the door slightly opened. While I was practicing I kept having to stop because my brother kept looking through the door at me and giggling then when I turned around he’d run off laughing. At one point I felt like he was behind the door getting ready to do it again so I turned around to tell him to leave me alone when I stopped because it wasn’t my brother it was someone else. I didn’t see enough of the face to know the gender (but I’m guessing it was a girl) but I knew it was a child and it did the exact thing my brother had been doing except when it ran off I couldn’t hear footsteps.
A few years ago when I was about 13 I was in my bathroom brushing my teeth and getting ready for bed when I looked up at the mirror and saw a man with brown hair and dark eyes that really stood out. I couldn’t tell how old he was (maybe 30s) but when I turned around he was gone. I told my dad and he says it was probably the previous owner because he knows he’s still here. I’ve also heard people I couldn’t see in the kitchen and bathroom walking around, messing with the sink faucet and the stove.
I’ve also heard whispers that were inaudible or saying my name and I’ve been touched. All in all I believe spirits exist and that they are all around even if we don’t know it or don’t believe.
