This happened about two nights ago. I have been ill and had taken pain killers for a temperature so I don’t know if this was an hallucination or real but it just seemed so real and I remembered the experience so vividly it totally terrified me.
I had been feeling unwell since having a gastric bug a couple of days ago. I had been in bed during the day and sleeping quite heavily on and off. I was in a very deep sleep. Suddenly there was a man on my landing he seemed very real. He had a hat on and loose jacket, loose khaki trousers and trainers, he was slim he was in his mid to late twenties. He reminded me of the type of street chav wearing bling and an ear ring in his ear. I thought he was a burglar. I remember being very frightened.
To my left was a shadow of a child, I knew it was a boy as I couldn’t see him but only the outline of what seemed to be a school boy. He was very close to me. I asked the man who he was and what he was doing there. He came towards me and said ‘Didn’t you call me’ – I was frightened but he seemed to be quite unphased. I shouted ‘no I didn’t’ he gave a funny grin and then turned around and went away.
The next thing I remember was I was outside my old house but it was not dark but dusk. The little boy figure was by my side and my old front door slammed shut. The next thing I remember is being in a floating sensation and then thinking I am up in my room by the ceiling. I looked down and I could see I was in bed. I was shouting ‘help me’ because I was very scared but I remember all I could hear was a funny croaking noise and a growl. Then, there was a sudden bump and my husband was next to me pushing me to wake up.
I woke up and remembered all this very vividly in detail. I was frightened to go back to sleep I was really terrified. Then I must have dropped back to sleep. Later on I woke with a sudden start and looked at the clock. It was exactly 4 a.m. I couldn’t sleep for the rest of the night.
The dream didn’t make any sense. I have had the sensation of someone sitting on me in the past but nothing like this. Has anyone else had such an experience? I have been quite anxious lately but I don’t understand the stranger and the events. I still feel nervous about this and if I think about it I am unnerved.

yep it’s all true…………
i had nightmares too, where i see myself sleeping like im not in my body anymore, i couldnt breathe well and i can’t move, my mind is conscious but my body isn’t.. whenever i experience this, i tried to pray in my mind, but all i could hear is a croaking sound or a growl too… i though im the only who experienced this, till i read your story…
I often have similar dreams (as we call it) like that. Part of it could be because of the medication, though not sure if it’s purely paranormal, but more lokely to be a Lucid dream. I have been experiencing realistic dreams ever since I was a child up till now, I catually document dreams that I can fully remember and reviewing all of the journals I wrote about them looks all so bazaar and can some times be freaky. Whenever I have a dream like yours I dare to investigate and explore, as you may have realized from that dream you had you were fully conscious and aware of the things going on around you. One of the things you may have done is move around and you will discover a world totally different from what you see around you. The place you saw in your dream is very likely to be of places you know or may have visited or seen in a movie all sttched together. The man you saw could be a subliminal portrayal of one of your fears, death perhaps? The boy you saw is your guide, you can ask it to take you araound the alternate plane if you wanted to and it may be a subliminal representation of someone you know or someone very dear to you. It may feel very scary for you, but once you get to have them nearly every night like I do, it can be like waking up on both sides of your reality. Waking in reality is like sleeping on the dream and sleeping in reality is like waking in the dream. Don’t be afraid of it, if you happen to believe in God, just don’t forget to pray. That’s all.
I know how you feel i have also had some very vivid dreams. I dreamed i had to eat the raw meat of a dog to survive and i woke up vomitting…maybe you we’re having an out of body experience.
