I had an uncle that always visits us when he gets home from the states. Before his death he wanted to give me his necklace that is silver but my mom said no because it was too big for me and she said I just might loose it anyway. But I wanted it. So my mom just said next time. I think I was 12 then.
My uncle always smokes, that is his habit, even in the car the windows are closed the air conditioner is on and he is smoking. I think that is why he died. The last time I saw him was when I was about to go to school I didn’t know that that was the last time I would ever see him.
When I went home in the afternoon I smelled smoke for awhile but then I looked for my mom and my grandma. I asked my cousin where they are she said she doesn’t know. So I went back to school. And then after school and when I went home I just saw my mom and my grandma crying. I was just confused my mom was just blaming her self she said “I already told him to go to the hospital but he doesn’t want. He said its ok, this is just a cough.” But I was still confuse I wanted to ask her but she is still crying. Then I didn’t know what was happening. But finally when my cousin told me she said that uncle has died. At first I thought she was joking but then I realized I haven’t seen him since that morning.
At my uncle’s funeral I couldn’t stop praying for him. I kept on saying to God that “Please God lead my uncle to heaven.” All of my cousin’s were crying, I wasn’t. I didn’t know why. But finally when we were about to pack his stuff in his room I opened the door and saw white smoke that almost looked like a ghost. And I smelled smoke there (cigarette smoke). I asked my aunt that if anyone went inside this room she said “Your uncle locked that before he went to your house.” Then after that day I had a dream that he said thank you to me. And I took good care of his silver for a long time now.
This is a true story, it happened in the Philippines in Pampanga. If you don’t believe its ok you don’t have to my uncle was just trying to say goodbye to me. Thanks for reading.
