I have had several encounters with the paranormal, ever since I was in third grade, the first, and by far scariest, was at Buder Elementary, I was in third grade, and I was in the hall, coming back from the bathroom, when I heard footsteps on the stairs below me, naturally I stopped, to see if it was one of my friends, but that’s when it got weird, the footsteps continued to the steps I was on, and as they passed me, I felt a gust of air, like someone quickly passed me, but no person was visible, the footsteps continued to the top stairs, and down the hall, I followed them, and when I got to the top, I saw a broom closet door open, and close by itself, I ran back downstairs, and hurried to class-via the opposite stairwell, and I rarely used that stairwell the rest of third grade.
The second was at the house my great, great grandma died , the day after she died, she was still laying in her bed, dead, and people where gathered around her, saying their last goodbyes and praying, when I walked up to her, and touched her hand, she breathed a word to me, “safe”. after that I didn’t cry anymore, because I knew she meant that she was happy, and no longer in pain, (because when she died, she was 93, and she couldn’t even walk, she was disease ridden, and frail) and because no one else heard her, I told them I heard her say that she was OK, that actually made my other grandma(her daughter) smile, and hug me.
The third, occurred when I was 11. Me, my dad, and my cousin where sitting in the kitchen, when someone(we thought it was my mom) walked through the kitchen, into my room, a few minutes later my mom walked in. We all got confused, but I knew it was a ghost. After that, I began seeing orbs, and in most pictures of me there’s at least one near me.
The fourth was over the phone with my girlfriend, a fellow ghost believer, we were both alone at our houses, and talking about some anime, when the phone went static-y and I heard a voice that wasn’t hers (it was a man, and kind of warbled) say “stay out of the kitchen!” Then the static relieved, and everything was fine, but when I went in the kitchen, I was very cautious!
Two days later, in the kitchen, I was still home alone, about the same tome as two days earlier, a chopping block full of knives fell, and almost got my foot.
Six days later was my birthday, I had four friends over, and we were playing with my Ouija board, and it spelled out, “days3auraseelizfindme” (‘days three aura see Liz find me’ my nickname is Liz) me and my friend disregarded it, but three days later, to my surprise I saw a thin halo of orange light around my mom, and just like that, I began seeing peoples auras. I never did figure out what ‘find me’ meant though. I’ve been using it to impress friends by guessing their moods ever since.
Now I’m 14, and I see auras, orbs, ghosts, and ‘*little lights’ all the time! I can also sense when there are any spirits in the room, (it helps my mom when she wants ghost pictures! I’m almost always right!)

*Little lights- small stings of light in photos, I believe they’re spirits of babies, who don’t know how to cross over.
they look like shining string.
