My Daughters Imaginary Friends And The Colored Orbs

Posted on June 13, 2009

Hi, I’ll try to sum this up as best I can. In 1996 I built a new house, from day one (during construction) I heard footsteps, closing doors, my name being called and smells etc. My daughter was born in 1998. As she grew I would hear her playing in her room, she was my first and only child, so when I would hear her talking I didn’t think much of it, even when she would come to me grumbling, “Mom, they won’t leave me alone!” she wasn’t scared, more frustrated then scared. When I asked her who? “The green one” or sometimes, the ‘red one’ So I’d go back into her room with her and say out loud “Time to go home, since you cant play nice and leave her alone” and it seemed to work.

There is one particular evening I often find myself wondering about. In 1997, (my daughter was a toddler) she came running from her room, through the family room where I was, shouting “See mom see! It’s the green one!”  through the kitchen she ran and would stop in front of a closed door leading into my laundry room/garage. There she would stop, knock on the door saying “hello?” before turning to walk back to her room, shrugging her shoulders, saying “Well, they’re gone.” I got a very uneasy feeling. She repeated this back and forth three times before she came tip-toeing around the corner, from the hallway leading to her room, taking my hand whispering, “Come here mom, come here, its the red one,” repeating this as she led me, what I assumed down the hall to her room, but was surprised that she stopped in front of my closed bedroom door where my husband was sleeping, and pointed at the door, “See!” she said, I was very uneasy as I turned to look, “What?, there isn’t anything there” I started to say. But before I finished, as I was turning my head back to her, when I saw a little red orb shaped light about the size of a penny come darting through the door, passing right in front of my face, and then dart towards her bedroom. It moved very fast, I jumped back screaming as I yelled to her, “What the heck was that!!?” My daughter was laughing so hard she could barely talk. Half laughing, half  relieved that I had finally seen it she said, “I TOLD YOU! ITS THE RED ONE!”

The hallway lays in the middle of my home so I know it couldn’t of came from any window. I was convinced from the beginning, from all the different experiences me and my husband, also a few of our friends had had that there was something there. But I never felt threatened or scared (a little nervous sometimes maybe) but never scared. This experience shook me up a little more than ever before, but still, didn’t feel afraid. We sold the house in 2002 and often wonder if the people who bought it have experienced anything as we did but, my question is, can these ‘orbs’ that are frequently talked about be different colors? What would you think of this?

Thank You for your time and I hope to hear back from you soon.

    Hello Kikkan,

You might have seen the bottom half of a satyr, also known as a fawn. They are supposed to be mythological creatures, the top half human and the bottom half the legs of a goat. What they are is elemental beings, nature spirits.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pan_%28mythology%29 and if you do a search on google for ‘satyr’ or ‘mythological God Pan’ or ‘fawn’ you’ll find lots of photos.

    I hope this helps,
    Love & Peace

thank you, have thought about that, but its kinda unusual to see a satyr in norway and it aint in our folklore as far as i know, so i dont know. i actually have more intel on this, so im gone try to post it one more time:

i have asked this one before, but i kinda have more information that i should have told about in the last question. so i will try and ask this again:

This one has bothered me for some years, and I’m just looking for a answer. I have lived near the wilderness all my life and seen some strange stuff, but this one is probably the most wierd:

One time I was on a mountain with my dog, suddenly the dog started to bark and run around like crazy, calling her name didn’t do anything, so I decided to walk down again. When I came down to the forest the dog still barked like heck, I heard her from near and far. She had never acted like this before and we have encountered everything from bears to rabbits.

When I had walked over a swamp I heard my dog closing in on my position so I turned around.

It is what I saw than that bothers me, I saw two large legs walking about 3-5 meters in front of me, it also looked like it had some sort of hooves or something. I aint joking, there was no upper body or anything else, I was stunned. When the dog came near it, it just ran very fast and without a sound. The legs or what ever would be about 1meter – 1 and a half meters long and hairy.

A person I know claims he saw the same thing in his garden when he was a kid, he lived in the same valley as where I saw this.

A close friend of mine told me something his grandfather saw one afternoon. He was making fire in an oven at a local house where folks gather sometimes.

than as this grandfather where doing his stuff in this house, a man came inside, this man would be a Pentacostal preacher who drifted from place to place. after a little talk, this preacher asked if he could sleep a little bit on the floor or something, (i dont remember where). the grandfather said yes and this preacher laid down and took a blanket over himself. When this grandfather was about to leave, he noticed that the blanket hadnt covered the sleeping preachers feet. He saw that this preacher didnt have feets, but hooves. My friend also says that his grandfather doesnt belive in anything paranormal and this is the only such thing he has experienced. pluss he was a farmer so he would know how hooves look like.

I know this sounds crazy, but does anybody have any intel on such things?? any other stories or anything? could my experience and this “preacher” story be linked in any kind?

Sorry about this being so long and my bad English.

Where have I read this story before? It’s really familiar.

As I said, the ‘god’ pan, an elemental being/nature spirit, can look like half man and half goat. Also the devil is said to look like this, but with a non-split hoof like a horse. Nature spirits have been part of human mythology forever. And that story, is one of the ones I read as a child, but .. I read so much mythology from so many different countries .. I’m pretty sure it was European legends, and possibly Grimm’s fairytales? Aha … here’s a glimpse of the story from their point of view. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bearskin_(German_fairy_tale)

Could a group of fawns live in your valley? Yes, of course. That you saw one is not surprising to me, because the elemental world is starting to make its presence felt all over the place. Could one of them look human enough to be mistaken for a preacher, until it drops its guard when its asleep .. anything is possible. Otherwise, perhaps the grandfather was relating a story he heard as a child as a ‘fact’ to entertain his grandkids? That is also possible.

I would also be interested to know of anyone else’s experiences with elementals.

    Love & Peace
    Ama
