True Ghost Tales

I have always believed in ghosts and usually used to tell stories as entertainment like teenagers do to scare each other. But recently things started to happen around the house etc.

1. My first truly scary encounter wasn’t at my house it actually happened to be on holiday in Tenerife with my mum, granddad and grandma. I was around 12 at the time. Me and my mum were tired so we came home around 11′ish from being out with my grandparents (they came in just as we went to bed).

At around 1:30 am I needed to go to the toilet but on the way something urged me to look in my grandparents room and they were sound asleep and the hallway light was on so I felt calm and safe knowing my mum was in the bedroom. Soon after I got back into bed I began hearing footsteps loudly by my bed, the sound was like high heels. At this point I thought I was dreaming but then I heard my mum say Ellie stop the clicking and I knew it was real.

The problem was we were right at the top of our set of apartments. No rooms beside us or above so it wasn’t the echo of shoes in another room. It got so close to my bed that I had a feeling that I was going to die. I felt rather suffocated and I did not like the feeling at all.

Eventually I reached out and punched my mum in the arm and told her to turn the light on. I sat bolt upright and there was no one there and the footsteps had stopped. I was still terrified and would not stay in that room alone. Whether or not this was relevant, my grandmas apartment was 666.

2. In my house I constantly hear people running up and down the stairs at night. I also wake up and have conversations with random people according to my friends that stay over and my family. But I have never remembered this at all. Now I know that this could be just my imagination.

Sometimes I hear scratching on the hallway floor and I feel a presence in my room, I have also watched my house key be flung across the room and hit the radiator. At this point I was on my own at home and was playing on just dance 2 when it happened. I stared where the key landed for around 2 minutes before I looked at the sofa where it had been flung from and asked whoever it was to leave me alone. I don’t know what told me to speak out I just did.

3. I have spoken to my mum about it and she says she has experienced things like me. But hers are mostly dreams. We both feel the depressive vibe that runs through my house but my dad doesn’t seem to feel it. I’ve also realized I can tell whether my dad is angry or happy when he walks through the door and I’m in my room. Now I realize that might be just because I have an extremely close relationship with him, but when he walks through the door its like a wave of atmosphere hitting you in the face and that’s the only way I can explain it.

They may not sound frightening but when they happen to you it truly is, if anyone has any advice or anything I would be happy to hear it. Thank you
