Haunted Pythian Home Building

Posted on April 18, 2010

The once lived in, and now closed down, Pythian Home is a very beautiful building that is now and possibly forever haunted and not supervised by anyone to where any kid, or teenager who is stupid enough can break in there and get gravely ill or can die from what is in there.

Back years ago there was a murder when this building was open and being lived in, a young lady was stabbed and killed by a psychotic person. Maids or nurses (unknown of what they were) tried cleaning it but once they left only for a few seconds and came back, the blood was still there the same way it was before they even started cleaning it. Now once in a while if anyone goes there, they may hear footsteps, or may feel someone or something brush up against you, even when no one is around you.

Saturday February 20th 2010 me, my sister and our mother went there to get photos of the building. It is such a beautiful yet scary building, me and my sister got chills down our spines because we felt like someone was watching us from every corner, so many windows boarded up and doors felt like they were unlocked yet so mysterious. I never knew how I could feel until we got to the side of the building which was the most mysterious part of the once not so scary building because the stairs on the somewhat hidden part of it all. I had a weird sensation to go up the stairs and see what was up there that made me so drawn to it, but I didn’t go near them.

I have tried contacting many people about the Pythian Home to get more information for as I can give many reasons to keep this building up and alive, back in 2004 the school superintendent said that he was thinking of having it torn down! Which mostly he can’t do because it’s not his choice. Thankfully it hasn’t yet because this building has many memories that over a hundred people have, including me. Hopefully one of these days I will go back and be braver as to take my sister and brother with me to go all the way around the building by walking, and not in a car. I love the Pythian Home, I don’t think I should have been scared, it’s the calmest and may a little bit of scariness but it’s still wonderful, and I would give anything just to get a certain amount of pictures inside. The shines on the windows made shadows on the windows that made it look like people were inside the building when its closed and some parts boarded up. I just wanted to see how amazing the building was until we (me and my sister) got a feeling like there were more than us (me, her and mom) there and they wanted us away from the building right then and there.

The story says: A lady was murdered one night by a psychotic man and the maids were to clean the blood off the bathroom floor, but one lady that knew her went to pay her respects, but once she returned to the bathroom, she found it the way it was just before they started cleaning, now on the anniversary of the death all the gore returns, there is still no use in cleaning it up, cause it will just come back, over and over and over again.

Me and my sister were waiting outside our car when it died; my sister was walking backwards and stopped until all of a sudden she said “Courtney, I heard footsteps!" I told her she was crazy, then I heard it, then she seriously yelled in a scared tone “something touched me!" like someone or something was trying to push her towards the building, we then ran to the car and got in till we calmed down, we stayed in the car for awhile and then Tommy came around the corner in his car and we waved him down till he stopped, we told him that our car died, he stayed for awhile then me and my sister freaked out and walked around and I looked into a window on the top and I saw two little girls with long red hair and they were wearing black dresses facing out the top window I said “Am I the only one who is seeing this?" Isabella said “No", we got scared and went back in the car. Tommy then left and we waited for my sisters dad to come pick us up which took more then an hour reason is because we had to call the towing place and they said we could wait or leave our keys under the driver seat, but we couldn’t wait for the tow truck to get there because it was freezing cold, once her father got there we hopped in and waited for mom to get off the phone with the towing place, I forgot that the camera was in the car and I had to run into the other car to get it and back to the other, mom then came to the van and we left, never again have we been back but soon enough I will go back, and I will be ready.
