Ghost Stories & Paranormal Encounters

When I was about, oh 13 or 14 years old we lived in a very old house – over 100 year old – up in northern Minnesota.

I went to a different school than my brothers and my momma didn’t get home till about 6:30. When I would get home from school I would sit and watch T.V.

One day after I got home I was watching T.V when our bathroom door shut and locked. Then the bath water would start running and I could hear a mother singing to her kids (you could hear that it was more then one kid) and they must have been like really young kids. I was so scared I ran outside. I was outside till about 5 and when I went back in the doors were unlocked and the bath was just draining.

This went on for a long time so I eventually got use to it. At the time my momma was going through a pretty bad divorce. Her Ex-husband decided that he and my momma weren’t even or something. I was sitting on the couch watching T.V like always and I saw him drive up so I ran into the kitchen. When I did that I could see him open the door and just as he was going to step in the house the door slammed shut! I was so scared, not because the door slammed shut on him, I was scared of him.

He tried to get in the windows that my momma told me to open, they to would slam shut. After that he left and never talked to us again never harassed my family again. I like to think that the ghost mother was protecting me from him or just protecting her children. Not a scary story but I thought I’d like to share with you.
