Ghost Stories & Paranormal Encounters

This happened in the winter of 1988 in Cleveland Ohio. In the city! I was 13 years old at the time and was spending the night with a friend that lived one house away from me. My curfew was 9:00 even on the weekends when I was in school. We wanted to walk to the store but I knew if my mom saw us I would no doubt be in trouble, so my friend said we’ll hop the fence in the backyard and go through the alley. The fence was a black iron fence, pretty old and not very high.

Before my friend moved in, 2 sister’s lived in the house together from the time my family bought our house. I was 3 years old. They were pretty old, I’d say late 70′s early 80′s. They sat out on their porch in their rocking chairs and knitted. They didn’t seem mean but would get extremely aggravated when you rode a bike by their house. They kept a coffee can of rocks by them and would throw them and tell you to get the bike in the street. They scared me, I was like 6 years old when they died. They died within weeks of each other. The house sat empty for sometime, then was bought by my friend’s mom. It was just the 2 of them.

We hopped the fence, went to the store with no problem. I know an old lady lived behind them but she was really nice, and I don’t think she would be bothered by us cutting through her yard but ya never know! My friend hopped the fence first, when she got over I handed her the bag of junk food and climbed over. She was right in front of me when I got this really sharp pain, it felt like I got shot in the ankle! I yelped out and bent down and started yelling at her! Why, I don’t know, but I said that hurt you idiot! She turned around, started to say something, but instead, drops the bag and takes off running! Yeah! Runs into her house and locks the door!

I stood up and she’s beating on the window from inside yelling Run! Yeah right! Run? I limp to the door she swings it open and was hysterical! I didn’t know what to think. I was a little mad and confused, she runs up and wakes her mom up. I sat down in a kitchen chair and my ankle was bruised and swelling and it bled a little. Very little actually. Her mom’s asking what happened so I say I have no idea she threw something and then ran in the house, she looks at her daughter and says well? She said after I handed her the bag and hopped the fence that she started towards the house, heard me yell, turned around and there was a huge black shadow with no face and it couldn’t be anything human because the way she described it, it had to be like 8 feet tall! I’m thinking yeah right, then she asks how could I throw something at you when I was in front of you the whole time?

She said while I was bent down it was behind me the whole time, even as I limped to the house. Then I did get a little freaked out. We stayed up the entire night and I never spent the night with her again! I wasn’t riding a bike, but maybe my old neighbor sisters didn’t appreciate me hopping their fence! I guess I should have known better. I think a rock nailed me in the ankle. Thanks for listening. I would love feed back.
