The Legend of Evil Bobby Yoshino

Way back when, during the gold rush into California thousands of Asians arrived seeking gold, along with hundreds of thousands of Americans. I call them DOEIs, or descendants of European Ancestors.  These “good Americans”, brought with them all the ugly, nasty customs of racism, hate, greed, violence and what ever else you want add. After a few years the good Americans decided there too many nasty Asians in California, even though all of them lived usually on the outskirts of town, and away from what they consider “polite society”. They were chased away from the towns and sometimes formed their own towns, like Locke along the river on land no one else wanted. The land was always flooded in the spring and a muddy mess most of the year, which is why there was so much suffering and illness among that population.

When the wave of violence was unleashed upon the Chinese immigrants thousands of Japanese people got caught up …

My Experiences

When I was little, I started having weird experiences. At this time I was about 3 years old and we lived in an old house in Orange County, California. I would see dark masses in the corners of my room and the mobile above my crib would spin by itself. I lived with my mom and dad at the time and they later told me they would hear weird noises or wake up and see people on their walls and ceiling. I definitely believe that house was haunted.

I moved out of that house and into one in Fallbrook, California where I had one of my creepiest experiences ever. I was laying on the couch when I slowly started to float to the ceiling. I didn’t know what was going on but I managed to stay calm. I could see my body on the sofa but I was asleep, and I knew I had been wide awake before I started …

The Ghosts of Peltier Road Bridge

Sometimes with stories, you have to tell the past in order for the present to make sense. This is such a case. The date is January 1981. The Central Valley tule fog formed that evening casting an eerily quiet feeling over the valley.

A car with three people is driving down Peltier Road near Lodi, California. One of them is being strangled with a belt by the person sitting behind them. The person sitting in the back is Michael Morales. Morales was armed not only with a belt, but a claw hammer and a 7 inch kitchen knife. The driver, Ricky Ortega, is the jealous lover of the victim’s boyfriend and cousin to Morales. Ortega, in his rage and jealousy against the victim, asked his cousin Morales to get rid of the victim. Morales was eager to comply.

Morales thought of ways to kill the victim and practiced cinching a belt around a female roommate’s neck, waiting for Ortega to …

Military Man and Cat Eyes

When I was younger, like about 5, I went into the kitchen to get some water. When I was done, I turned around and in the living room, I saw this guy standing there. It looked like he was wearing navy blue clothes, a jacket with little decorations on it, and a white military-looking hat. This was pretty late at night and that day we didn’t have any visitors. Also, my imagination doesn’t work well enough for me to see a solid figure (trust me, I’ve tried!). What was weird was that his legs, as I looked down, faded. What was even more weird, I wasn’t afraid. It was like he’s been there all along.

Also about that apartment, when you went into our room (I shared it with my sister) with your eyes closed, you saw cat eyes. We did experiments with our friends, but it was only in our room we saw the cat eyes, even when we …

Scary Story from Bells Garden California

This all happened In Bells Garden California on Luddell Street. I was four years old, and to this day I still remember what happened.

Me and my mom stayed up watching TV in the living room and we fell asleep. I don’t remember what time it was but it was already in the middle of the night when I woke up thirsty, so I woke up my mom to get me a drink of water since the kitchen was straight ahead like four feet away from the living room. I was too scared to go there because I didn’t like the dark.

When I was done drinking my water my mom made me take the cup to the kitchen so I went… and this is the weird thing nobody believes me but the good thing I know only god knows and that’s what matters… so all of a sudden I start seeing a hospital with old people with wheel chairs …

Dead Father Haunting Me?

In the beginning this sounded absurd to me but somehow I keep seeing it.

My father left my mother and I when I was 7 years old. He came down to California to visit me when I was about 9 and I would say contact between myself and him ended when I was 10.

When I was about 15 years old I remember playing out side and seeing a yellow old Bonneville drive up the road and turn into an apartment complex across the street. The man in this car was my father. I hadn’t seen him for five years nor have I heard from him. I remember sending him pictures and they would get sent back due to him moving without telling anyone.

A few months later I recalled seeing him at the grocery store again in an old Bonneville. I asked my mother what she thought about it and she said that she remembers Jim, my step dad, …

Finley’s Haunted Bar and Grill

Finley’s Bar and Grill, smack dab in the middle of farm land is the last of the mom and pop operations complete with its own entity who has resided there for the 16 years that Debra Finley and husband Mark have owned the place. I felt a heaviness of energy years ago when I stopped in for a delicious lunch and wanted to ask if it was haunted at that time but felt it was inappropriate as the place was full inside and in the garden with customers.

Recently on a day off I just popped in Finley’s, introduced myself then asked the owners if they have experienced paranormal activity. They were taken aback and wanted to know who told me. After establishing I wasn’t to crazy just curious if they could validate my feelings, they both opened up and shared the personal experiences they and their staff have had for the 16 years they have owned the business. This …

Ghost Girl in Hayward California

I am a 15 year old boy who lives with his father in Hayward, California. I just moved into a new house that made me feel strange. Not long after we moved in and got everything settled, I started to experience paranormal things.

The first night I was in bed and I heard a small girl laughing. Thinking it was my five year old sister I got up and walked into the room. Nobody was there. I paused for a moment because I felt like I was being watched. I walked towards my room and I saw a small shadow walk in my room. It was strange, I walked into my room and nobody was there.

A few weeks after that event, I was home alone. I was in my living room watching television. I heard the same laughter as I did before. I turned off the television and saw a little girl in the reflection of the screen. I …

The Demonic Little Man

This story is completely true. It happened to my sister and I. I was about 12 years old and my sister was about 6. We had moved to Benicia, California, and I didn’t like the new house to begin with. I had a weird feeling about it. Anyway, beginning were a chain of small events that were unexplainable, until the paranormal activity became so apparent that it couldn’t be dismissed anymore.

The first thing that happened was to my mom, who had been home alone at night, and she was making something in the kitchen. She then heard a big noise from the bathroom. Upon investigation she found that everything on the counter, and in the medicine cabinet, and in the bathtub had been thrown into a pile in the middle of the floor.

Then maybe a few days later when my sister and I were ready to go to bed, my sister said she saw two red eyes inside …

McCormack Williamson Winery Paranormal Investigation

Spirits we brought with us, resident ghosts, and more

An interesting investigation was held by Gold Rush Ghosts International Paranormal Investigations for the television show Investigating the Unknown on December 27th, 2009.  We had been invited by the staff of the McCormack Williamson Winery to come and see what was going on, as strange things seemed to be happening in the building that they could not pin-point.  As the Celebrities Psychic, I had been on a recent television investigation at this winery this last Halloween with KMAX Good Day Sacramento Channel 31. At that time I found the building to be rather interesting and exploratory in the true ghost/spirit sense.  And so we jumped at the chance to take a second look.

The winery was originally built in 1868 as a granary, but in the early 1900’s it was converted into a winery.  It was as recent as 2001 that the owners began producing Dancing Coyote wines, good, tasty stuff …
