Goodrich Cemetery

I had heard That Goodrich Cemetery at 37mile in Michigan was haunted. My brother and his friends go there all the time and they said that there is a ghost girl that haunts the whole cemetery. They said her name was Nancy. They went there about a month ago. When they were there they took a video camera so they could record everything so they could show people. In the video they said “Nancy if you are here, give us a sign.” A few seconds later, you could hear this really deep voice breathing. They also heard chains coming from under neither a tree. There was a lot of weird things and weird noises.

So anyways a weeks ago I decided to go there and check it out. It was about 9 and there is this really long road you have to go down to get to the cemetery. On that road there is an insane asylum and I think …

We went to the cemetery to bury her soul. We was in North Carolina with my family members. My mother and farther and aunties and uncles and cousins were all walking along. We heard like hums and sounds of voices like confusions and arguments like angry family members arguing and debating back and forth.

As we split up me, my mother and farther, and some strange man was with us. The cemetery we were at had already been having warnings all over it. So my mama was walking and she looked light headed. She just kept having a long conversation with the strange man. He was flirting with her and touching on her. She was telling him, “I’m married and there’s my husband and my daughter.” He just wouldn’t care. She told him to leave and go away. She got more affectionate so a lady came out. We didn’t know where she …

I am not going to tell you the whole story but i will tell you that, it is a fun place to get scared at, and that you better listen to the ghosts, and activity there because your loved one may die or your pet.

The Collier Cemetery is haunted by Civil War families. The main haunters are 2 twins Beth, and Mary, the mom Mary, and the father Dale Collier. The grave yard is back in a cornfield, the cornfields are in the back and front. The road is half a mile long. There is a trench, trees and bushes.

My friends and I have seen black objects every time we go there, and a black car always sits by the front of the cornfield. The …

I always sensed things about them good or bad within minutes of meeting them.

When I was in my early 20′s I was in the Army and stationed at Fort Stewart, Georgia. I had been married just a short time and a friend of the family stopped by to inform us that he was deploying to Germany and wanted to know if we would store his Honda Goldwing motorcycle while he was gone, and asked if I could take it out from time to time just to keep the engine from sitting idle to long. I told him no problem, and about a one week later, I decided to go on my first ride.

I live in a place called Sheffield in England U.K, and when I was 18 years old I was offered my own 1 bedroom flat by the city council, it was a newly built complex maybe about 15-20 years old. I met my boyfriend roughly about 4 months before I had the flat who is now my husband of 10 lovely years.

I will describe the flat briefly so you can get a good picture of the lay out, as you walked in the front door straight ahead was the kitchen and living area which was separated by a breakfast bar to the right was a long hallway which led to the bathroom and bedroom. Our family had just moved into a house in Calumet Park, Illinois. The previous owner was an old Caucasian woman. It was said she passed away in the house. Well, we were the first to move in after the house made the market. Our first night there was the beginning of multiple paranormal experiences for me. It was 1989 and I was 9 years old.

As most families, we were exhausted from the move so we didn’t put any beds together. There were two bedrooms upstairs. The biggest was my sisters’ room and the other belonged to me and my brother. My oldest sisters slept on a queen size mattress in the living room that night. My other two sisters, my brother and myself slept on mattresses in our room. Well before we went to sleep or should I say decided to, we were just playing around and laughing all night. In the …

This one isn’t scary, just eerie.

My grandfather died in 1967 and my grandmother in 1976. No one in the family had gone to their grave site since then. It wasn’t that we didn’t care, we just weren’t the type of people to visit graves. But I got curious and wanted to see where they were buried, but I couldn’t remember where the cemetery was. Strangely, no one in the family could remember either – each one thought it was a different cemetery. I was in Washington, D.C., which has many well known large cemeteries. My father thought they were buried in Mt. Olivet. My mother said it was Congressional Cemetery, my Uncle said no, it was Rock Creek Cemetery. Other relatives just didn’t remember. So one day around Samhain, when the veil is the thinnest, I went …

This one is quite recent it happened about a month ago.

I had just finished work it was about 3 am by the time I got out of there. After saying my goodbyes I decided to start walking home. Normally the walk would take about 60 minutes but if I cut through the local graveyard it cuts around 20 minutes off the walk. Having done this numerous times during the day I had no real hesitation at first but after about 5 minutes I had that feeling I was not welcome here so I started walking faster just trying to ignore the feeling.

What I heard and saw next I really can not explain. At first I heard faint crying so I stopped and listened and I turned to …

During our trip we were given a weekend off to do whatever we wanted. So a small group of us took a train up to Edinburgh. There was a total of four of us on this journey. Peter, Dante, Susan, and Myself.

When we arrived decided we would take a ghost tour. An idea I was totally for until we were reading the description of the tour we selected and a warning which read “you accompany this tour at your own risk.” But I figured I would be brave and we set off to find the starting point of the tour.

The tour was conducted in three stages, the first part outside a church, the second part in a cemetery, and the final part in “the Black Crypt.” The Church portion was about the history of Scotland and …

A Night at the Unmarked Graves

While growing up in Richwood, West Virginia, I had always heard locals tales of the paranormal. There was a couple of friends of mine who had been visited by a Sasquatch type creature in the Cranberry back country. There was the tale of the nearby Braxton County Green Monster. Ghosts stories too many to count were told in every hollow in the hills. Of coarse no West Virginia native has gone without hearing a tale or two of the Moth Man. However, I never would have expected that I would have my own run in with any such phenomena.

The first part of my story, which at the time I didn’t even realize was part of any story at all, goes all the way back to high school. It was the fall of 1991. My high school sweat heart and I were parked on top of Fork Mountain, just outside of Richwood, to, um, “watch a meteorite shower.” Yeah, that …

My friend was over one day and he was telling me about some weird things going on in his house that he assumed was just the ghost of his brother. His brother used to like to play a lot of jokes and he was a goofy, friendly guy so it was in his nature to play a cruel joke on people just to get a kick out of their reaction.

Anyway, after my friend finished telling me what was going on, an old toy of mine turned on by itself. My friend and I looked at each other and I laughed and he very seriously stated it was his brother, but I didn’t believe him.

So just last week, another friend of mine decided to visit the cemetery of my friend’s dead brother with a Ouija board just to see if we could get it working. We went at nighttime …

We all broke off in groups of 4 which were me Kelly Molly and Regina. We decided to look at the old political building and we lost interest very quickly so we decided to wander around in the town. Later that night we were to go on a ghost tour so we decided to get a look of the town to see the difference at night.

We went to a old church ground. We walked in and we saw that there was a little grave yard near it. I am very fascinated in history, so I walked over with Regina and suddenly we felt shivers go up our spines and we ran back to the others. Note that it …

Ghost in Photo on Australia Grave Stone?

I was taking a photo of my grandfathers grave (W.M. Towell) recently in Brisbane Queensland, Australia. A friend was looking at the photo and inquired how old the grave to the left of my grandparents grave was.

When I zoomed the photo in I immediately saw a woman’s face looking back from the centre of the gravestone. After looking for a while longer not really believing what I was seeing I noticed to the top left of the headstone is what appears to three Australian Soldiers wearing their army Slouch Hats. On the right hand side of the headstone is what appears to be a young women with maybe flowers in her hair.

I hope to hear back on what your opinion is on what I have captured in this picture.

I am not from there but at the time resided there. I was talking to someone who grew up there, my co-worker’s daughter, slightly younger than I. I figured she would know fact from fiction and rumor, since she grew up there. Then I told her about the cemetery I had gone to there one day. I was out just taking a walk and this one road ended at a cemetery. I told her it was so peaceful there and not spooky like you would expect. Then again, I went in the day time.

We were in her back yard lounging into the early evening. Monticello, Utah is a very tiny town, like you can drive from end to end in one mile. She just happened to live within two right hand turns of the cemetery, probably a mile and a half total. So, I said let’s …

Community Cemetery

Hi everyone, I love reading your stories.

In the summer of 1970 seven kids in our neighborhood (one was my sister) went hiking in the woods near where we grew up. This hike ended at the Community Cemetery about 1/2 mile by road from our house.
Since they went through the woods they came out at the back gate, when they got there they were hot and decided to go inside to cool off and rest before they started back to the house.

This cemetery was always strange to me, it’s always cool no matter how hot it is there is a cool breeze blowing inside the gates.

As the kids went in they noticed that under hill between 2 trees there was a casket with a blanket over it, they went a little closer to see if they could tell who all was there. When they could see through the trees they noticed that there were no people no …

Well me and my friends wanted to play a joke on two of our friends which were girls, so we decided to take them to the graveyard in the night time. It was in the month of October, so we all got together and headed out. The graveyard was about one kilometer out of town in the desert. It was abandoned because of ‘safety reasons’ which we never found out. It was a dark and misty night, when we got near the graveyard wind started to pick up which was strange because this time of night wind does not pick up until 5:00 pm and never in my nine years in this town did the wind came up this early. The time was 23:50 when we got to the graveyard, then the wind dropped and everything started to …

The Gray Ghost

My dad has told this story to my sister and I when we were young, growing up in Charleston, South Carolina. Through the years he has repeated the story a few times and the details have never changed.

He and a friend were planning a “surfing” trip along the east coast during a school break. They were anxious to get the trip started and found they couldn’t sleep the night before they were to leave. This friends family owned a house in Charleston very close to a very old and well known cemetery. The graves in this cemetery date back to the civil war and probably beyond. The cemetery was very dark, protected by a high wrought iron gate that was locked every evening. The farther back you went into this cemetery the darker it got. It was a moon lit night that night and the bet was that my dad could go further back into the cemetery than his …

Small Church Cemetery on Route 110

Spring, 1965, I finally had my driver’s license at age 16 and enjoyed my role as gofer around my Dad’s monument builder’s shop. Since age 12, I lived a boring existence moving from home to school then, after school, to a back room with not much else but a drawing board, then back home again. Carried back and forth by Mom’s taxi or on foot. Being a gofer with a new set of wheels came as a step-up in life!

Dad came to me, on this fateful day, and handed me a roll of rubbing paper. This is a wax-coated blue film that a designer will lay across the face of a monument and rub away the wax to leave behind an exact image of the craving from the stone. It is used when duplicating a design or, as on that day, to copy the layout of an existing monument so a stonecutter can come along later to engrave additional …

My Macabre Hobby

This story isn’t really scary, but it was really touching to me. It was one of those events that just strengthened my belief in the afterlife.

I have this sort of macabre hobby, which originated from my love of travel. I photograph gravestones and graveyards. Whenever I have the time, I hop in my car and hit the road. I visit friends, visit an attraction, or visit a state that I hadn’t previously seen. I love cross-country trips. I simply explore the town and usually will find plenty of exciting people to get to know. Well, whenever I would explore, I would run into some really interesting graveyards and always wonder about the lives of the people lying there, possibly forgotten.

A trip to Poughkeepsie, NY, to visit a friend, really ignited this curiosity, and a new hobby was born. The graveyard I saw was huge. It seemed to go on for blocks, but I couldn’t tell you the actual …
