When we first moved into our house, we didn't expect we'd have company. About a month after we moved in, we heard a man talking in the wee hours of the morning to what sounded like a crying, pleading woman.
I asked my sister if she had heard it as well, and she said 'Yeah.' We went and checked it out but no one was there. It scared both of us.
That same afternoon, while we were folding clothes, my mom and I felt a cold breeze and then heard a baby crying. Of course, there was no baby in the house at the time and the moment my mom opened the basement door, the wails ceased.
We had hoped it would all pass, but it didn't. It got a lot worse and it all surrounded the main downstairs bedroom. I slept in there for a time and woke up from hair pulling, voices, and scratches along my right arm.
My niece, normally a happy baby and never waking up at night would scream bloody murder till one of us got her.
One late night, I awoke to the sound of rattling. I make a habit of sleeping with my door locked, so turning on the light, I saw my door handle jiggling.
The moment it stopped, I got up and looked out my door. Nobody was there and everyone else was asleep.
The last incident was when I spotted a dark figure near the downstairs bedroom. I chased it, but received a cold hand on my neck and chilling words in my ear saying 'It's your turn now!'
I freaked out and ran upstairs. My mom's face was very pale and she said 'Something just said to me 'She's gonna die!'
Sharing my story, my mom immediately contacted our priest since we're Catholic. He blessed our house and the house has been peaceful ever since, except for our little ghost cat running around and meowing from time to time, but we don't mind her.
