Question About Reincarnation and Family

I’m curious as to how family members are still around to comfort someone in death. I am Catholic, so reincarnation isn’t really my thing, but this does confuse me.

If a person is “recycled” after death, how can they still be there to comfort family from their former life in death?

  1. Every people have various time between their death to their afterlife. For example, a sinner (in example, those who do suicide) would need hundreds of years before they can be reincarnated. The same goes with people who are still bounded by their unfinished business (or, in some cases, they don’t want to leave what they have in their life). They will still “hang around” in this world, until their time to reborn comes.

  2. Hi Theresa,

The church teaches that we do not reincarnate, and that we ‘sleep’ until the second coming of Christ. Personally, that is not my experience, having had many past lives, all of which I remember, to add to my ‘between lives’ memories of heaven and helping people here on earth during that time. In this lifetime I know of a lady (about 6 years older than me), who lives in my old home town, whom I was a ‘spirit guide’ for. We both recognised that, at the same moment, when we met for lunch one day. It was not a subject we discussed beforehand. We simply announced it to each at the same moment, and then smiled.

I am a Spirit Rescuer, that is not what people think of as a normal medium, because I don’t usually get people messages from dead loved ones, instead I help the lost souls (ghosts), who Adinferno just mentioned, with their ‘unfinished business’. Yes, some of them might be around their family when they die, but most of the time they have their own pain-driven agendas, so they are not really interested in anyone but themselves until they too have ‘crossed over’ into heaven and found peace and healing.

What happens when we die is that our family members who have already returned to God gather around us to collect us, if we let them, when our spirit leaves our bodies and begins its journey into heaven. There are so many stories about this on the internet. People who experience NDE’s (near death experiences) often talk about meeting family members, like grandparents and others who have crossed before them, and being sent back by them ‘because your life is not over yet’. Well, when your life ‘is’ over, they wrap their loving arms around you and, with your angels, take you Home. You go into a healing place, where you review your life, understand everything about it, and make peace with yourself, and then you go and see God. Later, hopefully 80-90 human years later, you might decide to try another lifetime, to correct the mistakes of the one before, or some from further in the past, and ‘down’ you come to do it all over again.

I know what the church teaches, being Christian. To me they chose it because it gave them power over their followers. Knowing that God loves us enough to give us more than one lifetime, to allow us to make mistakes without being sent to hell for them, takes that power away. Reincarnation was a belief among many early Christians, until it was removed from the bible .. but not entirely. There are a number of quotes still there, my favourite being the ones from Jesus -

Matt 17:11-13 “Elijah is indeed coming and will restore all things; but I tell you that Elijah has already come, and they did not recognise him, but they did to him whatever they pleased … Then the disciples understood that he was speaking to them about John the Baptist”, and

Matt 11:13-14 “For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John came; and if you are willing to accept it, he is Elijah who is to come”.

When I go ‘home’ again I know that my family will be there to meet me and that I don’t have to fear God, because He loves me so very much. Death is not frightening when you know you are profoundly loved. It’s just a step into another world, one we have been to so many times before.

  3. There is an Edgar Cayce book that details the history of the ‘church’ and the political corruption that gave birth to the control of the masses through lies…can’t remember it though…the bible makes many references to reincarnation.
