Mythology or Not?

OK so, lately I’m supplying this page with quite a lot of questions. So I was just reading the “What was that small creature I saw in the garden?” and answers and I started to wonder if really these creatures exist (now I mean all fairies, pixies, elves, centaurs, fawns,…) and I trust Ama, that she has talked to them, but still I’m curious why are they so avoiding us, humans?

You know I always thought that all this stories and tales (Lord of the ring, for example) must be according to “something” real. And this question is kinda specially for Ama: could you please tell me, (at least approximately) what they told you? I mean I was always so much into “mythology” (although I’m not sure if I could still call it mythology..) I used to literally swallow these kind of books. And now I’m wondering, what they are like, if they´re on the “good” side (you know what I mean).

I have been always in love with forests (since very little age) and I used to walk among forest even at night sometimes (although I never met any of these creatures) so who could know that forests can be also dangerous. Do you think there is something, that would want to hurt me? (except bears, wolves,.. of course).

And just my question is: Could you tell me something about these creatures, I’m so curious about them.

  1. Hi Ancika,

The elemental world consists of beings that love nature, are totally connected to it, and cannot exist without it. We know them as ‘fairies’, for the most part, but they are many other beings as well – the elementals of fire are called salamanders, and if you watch the fire for a long while you might see them dancing in it. The elementals of water are called undines, and there are ‘myths’ from greek times about ‘women’ (with very sharp teeth), who lured sailors to their deaths on the rocks with their singing. The elementals of air are the fairies, and the earth are ‘gnomes’. The ‘elders’ among them are known as devas, and then there are other levels of beings, specific to task and with varying degrees of intelligence, as well.

What did they tell me? Well, the ‘fairy mother’ (deva) on the farm in Black Mountain in Guyra NSW Australia, gave me a huge lecture to pass on to the man who owned the land about not chopping down living trees. When he went ahead and did it anyway, a large branch dropped off the tree onto the top of him and trapped him on his tractor? I always say ‘don’t annoy the real owners of the land’, and its not native humans, nor the white folk. And then there was the ‘gnome’ (all brown, flat brown cap .. about 4 feet tall, as the fairy mother had been) who told me we could not block a natural gully on our house block (on the edge of town), and I had a long discussion with him about it, and reached a compromise .. which ended up being completely pointless, because the garden we wanted to build over the little gully never grew anyway. We filled the gully in, and within a year all the dirt was gone again.

Then there was the ring the ‘fairies’ stole from my finger – which I deserved because I dug up one of their ‘homes’ and moved it from its location in the middle of the same garden the gully was in. When I asked two metaphysical friends to ‘find’ the ring .. which they were both really good at .. they sited the same spot .. right where the ‘weed’ had been .. only I couldn’t find the ring there.

And then there’s my partner’s experience with the ‘fairies’ in our orchard, including long complicated conversations that he has, on occasion, reported to me .. and you don’t go down there when ‘they’ don’t want you to. The place can be beautifully friendly some days, and creepy as blazes on other days .. and at night .. I wouldn’t walk there for love nor money. LOL And I’ve seen some strange ‘beasts’ on occasion when Tom’s reported being watched.

Never underestimate the elementals for getting what they think nature needs. We humans have forgotten that we are part of nature and we will all be extinct without it. I abhor strip mining, and destroying whole forests just so people can move into the land, or farm it. But that’s a whole other issue.

Is that enough information, Ancika? They are very real.

    Love & Peace
    Ama

    • Hi Ama

They sure can be little tinkers, can’t they?? LOL!

I’ve never come across any of these elementals – the closest thing I’ve experienced was that daemon we brought back home from Devon. I quite enjoyed its company, whilst it lodged with us for a spell. Guess it decided to return to Woody Bay once it’d got bored with us – lol!

      • And I see your daemon as an elemental, AJ .. and I hope it found its way home too. Pigeons radars go scrambled these days. I do hope your ‘friend’s’ homing beacon didn’t.

        Love & Peace
        Ama
