Is Wicca Devil Worship or Not?

I am interested in Wicca and witchcraft. But I’ve read that practicing Wicca is evil. I have also heard that Wiccans are not evil.

Why would practicing Wicca be evil? My friend is Christian. She goes to church every Sunday, and she practically lives by the Bible. I’m not saying that’s a bad thing either. But I asked her what the Bible said about witchcraft because I was so confused, and she said it was evil. She said that it was “straight from the devil.” When I asked her why, she said “because you are trying to contact the dead, and the Bible says that is wrong. So that makes it evil.”

She also said she didn’t know if doing protection spells and that kind of stuff was evil though. I also read sections of the Bible and it said that it was wrong to live by any other god besides the Lord. I know it is, but what if I do only live by the Lord, and I still practice protection, healing, dream, and money spells? Would that be wrong?

I am so confused, as you can see. Please leave a comment and tell me what you think. I want to be a Wiccan, but still live by the Lord. Is that wrong? Set me straight!

  1. Hi Waya,

You are going to get a lot of different opinions in here, particularly once our fundamentalist crew find you and start slapping you with the bible .. but in the end you have to make up your own mind, because this is about your belief in God and what God wants you to do in this life. No one can make up your mind for you, but this is my opinion, and my experiences, on the subject.

The Christians believe that witchcraft is evil because witches have a reputation for working with the devil in making spells that hurt people. Calling from their graves and talking to ghosts is called necromancy, not witchcraft, and its also evil, according to Christian teachings.

Wicca, on the other hand, is the veneration of the earth mother for the abundance she provides in life, and a belief in an abundance of other beings, and possibly ‘gods’. Now the Christians venerate (worship) God for the same reasons, and don’t think anyone else should worship/venerate anything other than their God.

Just to note, I am Christian, but I do not follow the Christian practises of thinking everyone is evil if they don’t do things the way the bible says they should. I can’t, you see, I was born with certain gifts that make me a soothsayer, a necromancer (which I am not, btw) and a person who believes in reincarnation, because I remember my past lives. However, I do believe in Jesus Christ and the good he did us all, and I follow his teachings .. love one another as I have loved you, love God etc .. its all very simple.

What’s the problem .. the problem is that Christians are taught to believe that ‘their’ way is the only true way to God, and if anyone follows any other way, they are going straight to hell. So you, in even asking questions about Wicca, are on a slippery slope in that direction according to them.

Personally, if your calling is the Mother Gaia .. go check it out. My daughter became Wiccan for a few years and she loved it. I am not sure what she is now, quite truthfully, although she’s a lot like me in her belief system, and I never taught her any of mine simply because I wanted my kids to make up their own minds. That might sound a little impossible, but you have not met my daughter, she has a very strong sense of her own self.

Will you go to hell if you live a good life, are kind to people, use commonsense, don’t do black magic, only use spells that you can understand the effects of .. karma can be a real killer to work through if you interfere in another person’s free will for pretty much any reason, even ones you think are good at the time .. so I don’t recommend spells at all .. but it has to be up to you. That’s between you and God/Goddess.

BTW, the original ‘religions’, going back into prehistory, all worshipped a Divine Mother .. after all she was the ‘creator’ .. how do men give birth? (no offence gentlemen, but you have a momentary pleasure and we carry the continually growing LUMP for 9 months LOL).

Just rereading your question – your friend doesn’t know if protection spells are evil? Under Christian teachings she’s also now in trouble. Has she ever been haunted, or harassed by a demon? She’d know then that the ‘spells’ (invocations, aka prayers) are not the least bit evil. They actually help. A lot of us use them all the time. What is the difference between a spell, invocation and prayer .. semanitcs? A spell is a request, an invocation is a request and a prayer is a request .. its who you send them to that the church gets agro about. Personally, all of my invocations and prayers go to Archangel Michael, and we know he works for God, because he’s in the bible. :-)

Types of spells .. a spell will only work if its supposed to, if you do it in the name of Love and not because you want to harm someone .. so you can do healing spells as much as you want, but if the person is not supposed to be healed, they won’t be. A dream spell? What do you want to dream about? And money spells work the same way. If you have the wrong attitude to money, or go into a situation desperate, you might create the opposite effect of what you are trying to achieve. Sometimes the best way to get money is to change your attitude to having abundance in your life. If a spell helps you decide you can .. ? No problem. So can changing your mind.

Gotta go and look at an iris nursery now,
Have a great rest of the day,
    Love & Peace

    • the reason i would like to practice dream magick is because i had a really weird dream the other night. i dreamed that i was a wolf, and i was on the edge of the woods with other people, woh were also wolves. it was winter, and it was dark out. there was about five other wolves with me, and we were all hunting these guys. these guys were in high school, (i dont know who they are and i’ve never seen them before)and they were playing football. there was at least ten of them. all i remember is trotting to an opening in the woods, so i could get a better veiw of the guys. (i’m in middle school, btw.) thats all i remember. do you hav an idea of what this dream means? because i am so lost right now.

      • Hello Waya,

You want to learn dream magic so that you can before a wolf in your dream? You do realise that when a wolf hunts its usually for food – and people can be meat, the same as every other animal is?

The next question has to be .. are you watching that tv series .. I had to ring my daughter and ask the name .. ‘True Blood’ .. where the werewolves and vampires are depicted as presumably ‘nice guys’? Or have you read the books? I must admit I haven’t been watching it. But, tv will put images into your mind for your subconscious to draw on, to help you learn about yourself.

In a dream a wolf represents “cleverness and evasiveness and will sometimes infer self-interest’. Given your age, we would expect self-interest .. we all have that. What the wolf could also be is your totem animal, or spirit animal, with a message for you.

The basic meaning of the totem wolf is: “Royalty, spirit, strength, friendly, family, sociable, intelligent, ritualistic in nature (applies to all of life), balances flexibility to establish harmony and order in life, new paths and journeys, freedom to move within the realms of insights and attachments. Teaches that we are able to be steadfast, familial protection, Epitome of the wild spirit. Wolf guides the use of resources and the lesson of adaptability along with teaching and instruction. Wolf helps to tap into inner strength and intuition. Sometimes transformation accompanies Wolf’s lessons. Are you using your resources wisely for the greater good? Are you nourishing your family and those around you? Are you listening to your instincts to avoid confrontations? Wolf will add in balancing harmony and wisdom to take control of your life. ”

And so your dream could represent your desire to be part of a group of beings that work ‘with’ each other, and ‘for’ each, although they feel like they ‘stand apart’ from other human beings.

Werewolves, on the other hand, have a history of attacking and killing their friends and family, after being infected by a bite from another werewolf – in other words, its a disease and not a natural state of being .. and its a long history, Waya. Modern television might be turning them into heroes now, but that doesn’t make it the truth, just interesting viewing, created to attract money.

Be very careful in what you want to choose to do, if you decide to practise magic. In middle school you are too young (you won’t agree, but that’s fine, just read what I say anyway), to understand, in depth, what choices to change your energy like this might mean to everyone around you .. not just you. What you choose today may change your whole life completely .. and not always for the good.

K Smith may be annoying sometimes but he’s right in saying that some people have started down what they considered an ‘innocent’ path and ended up going into magic darker than they could control. They lost themselves – and that is a hell far worse than most people can imagine.

As I said on another site .. just be careful. The tv is giving a very pretty picture of a possible reality that is nothing like they say. In other words, its lying to you.

You were born human, be human. Be the best person you can be, your whole life long, and you will have all the love, and family and abundance you need, or want. It’s always up to us.

        Love & Peace
        Ama

        • hey Ama, no i am not watching that t.v. series. in fact, i dont even have cable. and i know you think i am too young, but really, i have to grow up and act like an adult to get through what i’m going through right now. i’m being honest, and i’m not over reacting or anything like that. thank you for your information on what wolves mean in dreams. actually, wolves are my favorite animals. Waya really means ‘wolf’ in Cherokee. i’m part Cherokee indian.

          • but this eam is the first dream i ca nremember about being a wolf, or even seeing one. this is the first dream i can remember about wolves what so ever.

          • Hi Waya,

You said that the reason you wanted to practise dream magic was because of the wolf dream .. so what was so important about that dream that made you want to do something that might defy your Christian teachings, or helpy you choose to be Wicca? Or was it because you thought it would be fun?

I tend to be very serious in everything I read, and as cautious to answer in the best way I can, and hope people will be cautious in their choices in lives, because my teachers are always reminding me that we have to be very responsible for everything we create .. which means everything we choose to do in life.

          • i want to practice dream magick because this dream is weird. i’ve never had a dream like this before. and ever since that dream, i’ve had more and more strange dreams. i want to find out what they mean. dreams have always interested me. i find all my answeres i cant figure out while im awake in dreams. i would really love to learn how to dream up answers when i need them, and not just randomly like now. i would also love to find what these strange dreams mean. i’m starting to keep them in a dream journal. i’ve been ignoring the dreams that dont make sence all my life. (and that would be every dream i have.) i just realized that to practice dream magick, i might be going against my Christian religoin, based on what i’ve heard about magick being the work of the devil, which i now know it is not. i’m just really wondering what these dreams mean, and how to dream up answers, amd right now, with what’s going on in my life, i need a lot of them!

          • Hi Pantera, or are you Waya too?

If you want to learn to understand your dreams, get a good dream book. Mine is a little old now, but I’ve always found it excellent in identifying the images in my mind and what they might mean. Then you have to learn to understand how the symbols come together to give you a deeper meaning than the surface dream .. that comes with time and practise.

My book is: Mary Summer Rain’s Guide to Dream Symbols ISBN 1-57174-100-3 You should be able to find a copy through Amazon. Then, as you are already doing, keep a dream diary, looking for repeat patterns, or repeating themes in what might seem like confusing dreams … and the messages might be there.

Everyone has confusing dreams. Our dream life helps us process what we experience in the waking world. They are not all supposed to be messages, sometimes they are simply us sorting our heads out. And then there are things like learning to Lucid Dream .. which is not my topic. Siddle is definitely the person you want to talk to about that .. he has an amazing Lucid Dream life. I shall drop him an email and get him to come and talk to you. Here’s here among us, but not as often as we would like. LOL

          • Please explain what you mean, Joel? I am curious?

          • Adults would over think it to the point of losing the, well, point of it. Like if a kid saw a ghost that cause them no harm or anxiety they would smile and try to interact with it while an adult would at first have no fear or anxiety but when they start thinking about it they start freaking out. I not saying act completely like a kid with no caution but don’t over think it. if you find the equalilibrium it will come to you. Ama I suspect you have.

          • Now I am wondering if you are about 12 years old. You think that all adults are alike? And on the same hand you think all kids are the same?

          • “Adults would over think it to the point of losing the, well, point of it. Like if a kid saw a ghost that cause them no harm or anxiety they would smile and try to interact with it while an adult would at first have no fear or anxiety but when they start thinking about it they start freaking out. ”

Hmmm … I must be doing something wrong …… 45 and not afraid of ghosts. I just send them to healing where they belong.

          • Hi Joel,

I’ve met some seriously sensible kids, and some seriously childish adults, when it comes to life, and the paranormal .. and no two are ever the same – and you can’t tell, just by looking at them, how they will react in any given situation. Plenty of adults have terrified themselves with just the thought of experiencing a ghost .. on a ghost tour .. why do they even go? One lady had hysterics when a breeze blew up .. admittedly, it was ‘inside’ an old pub, but the windows were open because it was a warm night. LOL And then there was the guy (about 30) that ‘can’t wait to meet a demon’ .. the stupidity of which leaves me breathless.

          • I meant to say most and that is the general thought of people who want to act like an adult. Always need to be serious, etc.

          • Most adults I know personally definitely do not act serious most of the time. Im nearly 50 and still act like a kid in many many ways

          • I’m just saying if you ever ask a kid about it they will tell you that.

          • Yes, yes, I’m here Ama! Thanks for the heads-up. As mentioned, work has been over taxing lately. If it’s any consolation, I’ve been missing TGT a lot lately. Seems like some great debates have passed by…..so, still catching up, but since you brought this to my attention, wanted to respond asap.

Waya (and maybe Pantera as well),
Looks like this topic went in a few different directions…..which is interesting in it’s own right. As I am 34, feel like 70 and act 12. :)

First off, so that this isn’t too verbose, I would suggest (if you aren’t already), PLEASE make a topic (aka “post a question”) about your dreams. I would love to discuss more, but I know for me it gets difficult to keep up with so many off-shoots to the original question at the top. We are notorious for staying off topic on this thread (haha!) but I really feel it’s because most folks that come here are looking for intelligent back-and-forth regarding their question. So each topic evolves…..and this one has been very active in it’s evolution.

I don’t have all the answers for lucid dreaming, I simply have attacked them from multiple perspectives. Was born with a natural tendency to lucid dream (at the very least extremely vivid–which is still a level of lucidity, mind you)….but also work with it from a scientific base now….where I constantly experiment with different induction methods.

Basically put, if you are interested in my take on dreams…..you don’t need magic. In fact, my humble opinion is that it would be too cerebral of an experience that way because you are learning an exact practice….but I know next to nothing about magic… and to each their own.
Sounds like you have a good start…..dream journal. It’s all about the documentation. This will help you remember more of your dreams. The better the recall, the better the levels of lucidity. Also, in my experience (because everyone dreams differently), you can’t be that direct. Consciousness knows how to filter….however, it can be reprogrammed with repetition. So during the day, ask yourself if you are awake and functioning in reality…then list reasons why (to yourself…see already better then incantations, because you don’t have to say anything out loud, haha!)
example: ” I see the flow of linear space-time and I can’t float/fly at will right now. I’m in reality and therefore not dreaming at this time.”

The more you do this, the more your conscious mind will ask this question naturally when you are dreaming as well. Caution: Don’t set an alarm on your clock/iphone/etc….you have to start naturally doing this, and doing it often. If an alarm tells you to ask the “is this reality” question, then you will need the same exact alarm in your dream to make you remember. It takes a little time, but the more you get excited about lucid dreaming and the more you think about it, the more it will come natural.

Ok, I’m already on the way to prolific response, so:
I would start here: //www.trueghosttales.com/questionsandanswers/how-do-you-achieve-a-lucid-dream. A great topic that our CareTaker started and to my understanding, stays open for additions, comments, etc….
But I do encourage you to start a thread. I’ve been meaning to make more dream threads….so if you would rather, I can post a more general dream discussion too.

Hope this was helpful….sorry it was a tad rushed…but you have my word that I will continue to discuss with you if you would like.
            -Siddle

        • Dear Joel,

I’ll let you in on a secret. :-) Like CT I am nearly 50 (why do I suddenly want to giggle? LOL) and I was far more grown up when I was 17 than I am now. No, this is not my second childhood, as the saying goes, because I never really had a ‘first’ one, but I have learned to take life as lightly as I can. We can lose ourselves in the seriousness of it all, and later find out it was all in our imagination. Time is a greater teacher, as is hindsight.

I’m sorry you’ve only met serious adults, perhaps, if you asked quietly, you might find that, like me, they still feel like a big kid. And I will confide something else .. when my kids were growing up, I tried very hard to be a ‘good’ mother, a serious, sensible one .. what I should have gone for is a smart and loving one instead. We all survived the journey, but it would have been a lot more fun.

May I never grow up. LOL

          Love & Peace
          Ama :-)
p.s. just for clarity, that doesn’t mean I can’t be deadly serious and responsible when I have to be, we just seek the ‘lighter’ moments more often. LOL

          • Yes but the thing is that I am not saying that acting like an adult is being an adult, you all have said that you don’t act like an adult.

  2. Please don’t practice it, from personal experience I know it summons negative energies – ghosts and demons around you that will ruin your life.
Please read some of the stories on here about Wicca and witchcraft (including my own) which ends horribly. Please don’t do it!

  3. Let’s consider for a moment the Wiccan Rede and see if it mentions anything about Satan or harming others (that is the general consensus on what can be considered evil, correct?)

    The Wiccan Rede:

Bide the Wiccan Laws we must, In Perfect Love and Perfect Trust. Live and let live, Fairly take and fairly give. Cast the Circle thrice about, To keep the evil spirits out. To bind the spell every time, Let the spell be spake in rhyme. Soft of eye and light of touch, Speak little, listen much. Deosil go by the waxing moon, Chanting out the Witches’ Rune. Widdershins go by the waning moon, Chanting out the baneful rune. When the Lady’s moon is new, Kiss the hand to her, times two. When the moon rides at her peak, Then your heart’s desire seek. Heed the North wind’s mighty gale, Lock the door and drop the sail. When the wind comes from the South, Love will kiss thee on the mouth. When the wind blows from the West, Departed souls will have no rest. When the wind blows from the East, Expect the new and set the feast. Nine woods in the cauldron go, Burn them fast and burn them slow. Elder be the Lady’s tree, Burn it not or cursed you’ll be. When the Wheel begins to turn, Let the Beltane fires burn. When the Wheel has turned to Yule, Light the log and the Horned One rules. Heed ye Flower, Bush and Tree, By the Lady, blessed be. Where the rippling waters go, Cast a stone and truth you’ll know. When ye have a true need, Hearken not to others’ greed. With a fool no season spend, Lest ye be counted as his friend. Merry meet and merry part, Bright the cheeks and warm the heart. Mind the Threefold Law you should, Three times bad and three times good. When misfortune is enow, Wear the blue star on thy brow, True in Love ever be, Lest thy lover’s false to thee. Eight words the Wiccan Rede fulfill, “An it harm none, do what thou will.”

“An it harm none, do what thou will.” So from this we can conclude that Wiccans do not wish harm on others. That’s not evil. “Merry meet and merry part, Bright the cheeks and warm the heart.” I’m pretty sure that this means, be nice, and never part ways with someone without raising them up. Nope, again, not evil. We could go on and on and analyze each line but, I don’t think we’re going to find anything about evil being practiced.
So, I’ll stop here on that so as not to go on and on and take too much time.

Wicca is a nature religion. Its main goal is to become in tune with the cycles of life and nature. There is no set dogma in Wicca but, there are some common beliefs/opinions that I have found Wiccan’s share. These include: As it harm none do what thou will. This is very much like the golden rule. This means that they must not do anything that will harm anyone including themselves. I’ve found that it deals a lot with Karma, given that they believe everything will come back to them in the end, whether it be bad or good.

    • Hmm. I didn’t think this one went through and I lost what I’d typed. Sorry for the repetitiveness everyone. I did not intend to flood the answers with the same thing twice :)

I’ve found that it deals a lot with Karma, given that they believe everything will come back to them in the end, whether it be bad or good. So, we can assume that it doesn’t make sense for them to be evil, given the fact that said evil would be coming right back to them.

I’m not a Wiccan, I do know a few, and I’ve read about it enough to have developed an opinion on the basic principles, and I don’t think it’s evil. Sometimes Christians label things as being “evil” because they don’t understand it. Sadly, a good lot of them believe that any religion that IS NOT Christianity is evil, wrong, and therefore condemns anyone who is not Christian to an eternity in hell. I see this as fear mongering in an effort to force others to follow them. Please don’t buy into that….it’s illogical and a certain recipe for a crappy life. You don’t have to fear God. If you did, we would all have been smited by now, as no man is perfect, and never will be. Life is most certainly filled with lessons, and we have to live in order to learn them. We make mistakes, we fall, but we pick ourselves up by our bootstraps and keep on trucking. I really believe that’s what life is. LEARNING. Why limit yourself to one book? Be it the bible or any other religious text. Find what works for you!

If the Wiccan religion feels right to you, and you know in your heart that it speaks truth to you, then by all means, follow it. Stop worrying about what other people think of you. Your faith is yours, and yours alone, and no one has the right to make this decision for you. As long as you enter in to things with love and good intentions, I think you and God are square :)

  5. As an afterthought I thought I would post the Wiccan Rede. See if you can find anything that would show Wiccans are evil in it. I don’t think you will ;)

  6. Waya,

Wiccan is not a NATURE RELIGION it is just another pagan cult that worships the gods like Pan, Diana, Cernunnos and the Great Mother goddess. According to William Schnoebelen a former high priestess, Wicca is one of the more seductive and deceptive pagan religions Satan has created.

William Schnoebelen stated in his book called Wicca that he was initiated into the Alexandrian Wicca on Imbolc, February 1973. He added that he was made a High Priest and Magus in September 1973. Schnoebelen and his wife were also promoted to the High Priestly rank in The Drudic Craft of the Wise. He spent years in the Craft and knows what he is talking about.

Mr. Schnoebelen stated in his book that when he became a Wiccan high priest, the Inverted Pentagram was traced on his body in oil, wine and kisses. The pentagram is a key symbol in witchcraft and is called the witch’s Mandala. It is also a key symbol in black hardcore Satanism.

According to ex-Highpriest Schnoebelen he learned that Lucifer was the true power behind Wicca, and in order for him to grow he would have to do Lucifer’s bidding. Schnoebelen had the Promethean itch to grow so he and his wife engaged in the many rites and rituals one being…“The Descent of the Goddess into the Underworld” which is based on a pagan rite called The Descent of Innanna.

The need to grow lead William Schnoebelen from Wicca, white witchcraft to become a Satanic Second Degree Warlock in the Church of Satan. I suggest you read the book, Wicca, Satan’s Litte White Lie by William Schnoebelen.

Schnoebelen also mentioned Aleister Crowley involvement in Wicca but it was Gerald B. Gardner who established Wicca as a main stream pagan religion. Gardner wrote the novel, High Magic’s Aid in 1949 under the pen name Scire.

Both Crowley and Gardner were hardcore antichrists. Occultist Gavin Baddeley has stated that “Nudism, bondage, open air sex and flagellation, all personal weaknesses of Gardner, became prominent Wiccan rites.”

It is said that the black magician Crowley who wanted be Satan’s Chief of Staff is responsible for over 50% of the rites and practices Wiccans observe.

I simply went over to Satan’s side and I do not know why.” I was not content to just believe in Satan, I wanted to be his chief of staff”. Aleister Crowley

Most of Crowley’s adult life was spent blaspheming God and trying to destroy Christianity. Crowley was a bisexual deviant who engaged in sex magic, invoked demonic spirits, and had a ravenous drug addiction to heroin, mescaline, opium, hashish, peyote and cocaine.

“Fifty percent of modern Wicca is an invention bought and paid for by Gerald B. Gardner from Aleister Crowley. Ten percent was ‘borrowed’ from books and manuscripts like Leland’s text Aradia. The forty remaining percent was borrowed from Far Eastern religions and philosophies, if not in word, then in ideas and basic principles.” http://www.weeklyuniverse.com/2004/wicca.htm

The mere fact that Corlwy spent his entire life doing evil and wickedness should tell you what type of religion Wicca is seeing that he had his hand in it’s creation. Crowley also encouraged the sacrifice of children especially little boys. Now where is the NATURE LOVING RELIGION in that.

In Crowley’s 1929 book, Magick In Theory And Practice, he explains the reasons for ritual death and why small boys were the best victims:

“It was the theory of the ancient magicians that any living being is a storehouse of energy varying in quantity according to the size and health of the animal, and in quality according to its mental and moral character. At the death of this animal this energy is liberated suddenly. For the highest spiritual working one must accordingly choose that victim which contains the greatest and purest force. A male child of perfect innocence and high intelligence is the most satisfactory and suitable victim.” Aleister Crowley, Magick Theory And Practice (Dover, USA, 1929), pp 94-95.

If you are truly desirous in practicing Christianity then from the bible perspective witchcraft, sorcery, divination, astrology, an observer of times, an enchanter, wizardry and necromancy are all an abomination to God. Please do read your bible, I study from the Original King James Version 1611 in order to corroborate what I am saying. Do not take my word for.

    EXODUS 22:18, 2 CHRONICLES 33:6, GALATIANS 5:19, 1 SAMUEL 15:23
    DEUTERONOMY 18:9-12, PSALMS 106:34, 2 CHRONICLES 28:3

You cannot practice Christianity and be a witch. The bible states you cannot serve two masters, you will love one and hate the other. You cannot serve God and Mammon.

Acts Chapter 13 verse 8 to 12 tells the story of Elymas the Sorcerer who tried to use sorcery to hinder Paul from preaching the Gospel. The demonic spirits who give sorcerers their power are indeed powerful but God and Jesus are greater. Christians do not possess any power, we call on God in Jesus name, and it is God who judges, and Elymas the Sorcerer was blinded by God for a season for his wicked actions. His demonic spirits did not and could not help him once God got involved. This is how powerful our God and Jesus is. Now why would you Waya serve the creations i.e. demonic spirits rather than the Creator of all things.

Now the choice is yours. But we forewarned whatever decision you make the bible states you will give an account before Jesus whether it is good or evil.

    CARETAKER,
I see that some people are allowed to post the Wiccan’s Rede, and I am not allowed to post bible scriptures to prove my point. I see a double standard being applied here. Care Taker as this is your site, then I am asking you in Jesus name, may I post bible scriptures to accompany my posts on your site seeing that some others can post religious literature, doctrines, quotes and beliefs to support their religious stand point.

    • K SMith I NEVER said you were not allowed to post scriptures so dont start with that garbage! I said DO NOT POST COMMENTS A MILE LONG WITH NOTHING MORE THAN BIBLE QUOTES SO DONT ACT LIKE THAT

      • Much appreciate Care Taker. My sincerest thanks in Jesus name.

      • Give an inch, take a mile.

KS I think emotional blackmail is a low blow. It was me who said CareTaker doesn’t want us posting ‘lists’ of bible quotes, when one, and a few references, is more than enough. And tell me where, on any of the other questions, people have posted long lists of beliefs/quotes other than the fundamentalists? The Wiccan Rede posted here is totally appropriate to answering the lady’s question. It demonstrates exactly what they believe, without repeating itself over and over.

And pulling in the ‘big guns (Jesus)’ in demanding that CT allow you to drown us in quotes again? What were you thinking? Jesus should not used as a tool of blackmail.

        Love & Peace
        Ama

        • Ama,

What emotional blackmail? The one thing I am quite sure of is that Care Taker knows exactly where I am coming from at ALL times. The bible states from the abundance of your heart, your mouth speaketh. I believe this also applies to ones writing. Caretaker KNOWS well, I need not resort to emotional blackmail for ANYTHING.

Reference to this lie………It was me who said CareTaker doesn’t want us posting ‘lists’ of bible quotes, when one, and a few references, is more than enough. And tell me where, on any of the other questions, people have posted long lists of beliefs/quotes other than the fundamentalists?

My question to you is, if caretaker did not say it, then why did you take it upon yourself to say it for him. Who are you to tell me, what is enough. You have me confuse with fake and false Christians who crumble and buckle under pressure, scrutiny and persecution.

I should add that I asked Caretaker in Jesus name to allow me.…..I did not demand anything of him. I come from the old school.

John 14:14 – If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

John 16:26 – At that day ye shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you:

Caretaker and I have bucked heads repeatedly since I started posting on HIS site, and the one thing he can say about me, is that I am consistent in my beliefs, posts and I never back down from any one who repeatedly tries to paint me in a negative light.

          • K Smith – We have bumped heads because you have repeatedly tried to hijack the stories and make this website your own personal pulpit. You think it is because of your beliefs? It is not. I would do the same regardless of whether you were pushing atheist, buddhism or whatever. God knows my heart and YOU WILL NOT BE MY JUDGE

You asking me to allow you to post bible quotes is irrelevant and the fact that you asked it in Jesus name is also irrelevant. EVERYONE is treated the same as much as possible regardless of what their religion or beliefs are. EVERYONE is permitted to speak their mind as long as they follow the few simple rules by the comment box. I have tried to explain that to you before but not sure if you understand it. You have judged me, called me names, and insulted me via emails and I do not appreciate it.

“The one thing I am quite sure of is that Care Taker knows exactly where I am coming from at ALL times” WRONG. You see just because you are quite sure about something doesnt mean that you are correct.

The one thing that I can say about you is that you are intolerant and that you think you are the one who knows the truth about everything and you set yourself up to be the judge of others. That is the only thing I can say about you.

Who are you accusing of trying to “repeatedly tries to paint me in a negative light.”? I think you may be suffering from some sort of martyr syndrome.

          • Hi K Smith

A fair few months ago someone was posting reams upon reams of quotes from the Bible but with little else to substantiate their side of the arguement.

It got to the stage that the posts were so long, CT edited them – mainly to make life easier for the rest of us. After all, the point being made can get so easily lost when there’s a novella to read.

The poster – was it JK? – then complained. CT explained why it was done. It was all on the forum for us all to read.

I think moderation is the key here. No one has a problem with putting the name of a specific Bible quote on here – maybe as a link to the actual quote itself. Nor do people mind the odd quote typed out. But when we’re bombarded with a whole list in one go, the impact kind of gets lost!!?

The incident and subsequent action from CT a few months ago is what Ama was referring back to. No one wants to gag you, KS, we actually enjoy the banter. I think everyone learns a little from it too.

            AJ
            x

          • AJ is right and I appreciate you for explaining it. Some seem so quick to jump up and yell “Help help Im being repressed!” (I like quoting Monty Pythin)

          • Most welcome, CT.

But what I really want to know is …….. what did the Romans ever do for us? LOL!
(I love Monty Python too – Life Of Brian is my fav – tee!hee!)

            AJ
            x

          • Hi CT,

Why do we always seem to have the same old arguments with the bible folk? It’s always us in the wrong, and us with no respect for others, and us being judgmental of ‘them’ when we don’t go ‘down on one knee and say “you have converted me, God bless us all” .. shades of the Muppets and Tiny Tim at Xmas. ( I know its not Monty Python, I am a Life of Brian fan too, but my best memory of that program is the monks who go around bashing themselves on the heads with the boards LOL – make it the bible and we might have a close match? LOL).

            Hi KS,

Let me explain how I see what you did. To me asking Jesus’ help is the most powerful thing a person can do, for themselves, or for another person. It should not be used lightly, nor to try and force one Christian to do what another Christian (or the person they assume is Christian) to do what they want. You see, since you are a good Christian you would do what the other person wanted, regardless of whether it made sense or not .. but hopefully you would think it through first, before doing so. Now, if you had read anything on either of the main sites we are discussing biblical stuff on this time, with any depth, you would realise that CareTaker is a great arbitor, far more tolerant than I am, and willing to let everyone abuse his patience up to a point. I just pointed out where that point was, as AJ explained.

I don’t have you confused with anybody .. you are just the same as all the other biblical people who come to our site (except for the alien stuff), or CT’s site, to be more specific, and start throwing bible quotes at us. Quotes are great. When other people did it, back when I first got here, I used to re-quote them to them more accurately .. and sometimes point out what they might actually mean .. given I have the training to do this. But then I realised I was boring people witless .. so now I just try to ask the bible folk not only ‘why’ they believe what they do, but ‘how’ they can .. which is what I did to you. And then I had a bit of fun with interpretations of Adam & Noah etc. I noticed you, like all the others, ignore things you can’t answer. At least I have the manners to read everything you say, and answer where I see confusion or a contradiction. You shouldn’t be challenged by this .. the bible has all the answers .. according to you. Fine, no problem. Just don’t drown me in quotes, or tell people everything is demons .. which is another fun thing the Christians try to frighten people with.

AJ, the one I remember was Texture .. and ‘she’ was a charmer .. not. And why do the fundamentalist have to always hide behind pseudonyms to write here? (sigh). But you know my opinion on that.

And KS, you don’t like how we play in CT’s garden, go play somewhere else. Go back among the Christians where you all agree with each other .. but you don’t even agree there. I know its more fun out here among us heathens, but don’t get mad when we won’t do what you want .. in a way you ‘won’ this one. Made a precedent that is going to drive me nuts .. and drown us in quotes again. Oh well, back to the Bible (and I don’t really mind at all).

            Love & Peace
            Ama

    • You know something, guys .. while I think that ‘who’ we believe in is vitally important, I don’t think that ‘what’ we believe is as important as what we choose to ‘do’ because of those beliefs.

There we have the Wiccan Rede, showing that it states ‘harm none’, and I am sure, if I wanted to spend some hours wading through various words, I could find a comparative set of verses from the Christian Bible .. and some of you could give us the same from Buddha’s teachings, and the Qu’ran etc .. but as K Smith has demonstrated, with his investigation into some truly nasty characters in the history of Witchcraft and Blck Magic .. a person can believe what they like, and take it and twist it into knots.

Crowely, and other money and power hungry people, are not, in my opinion, a good reason not to practise Wicca. They are no worse than many of the Popes I have read about over the years, who abused their own followers to line their pockets and give them control over what they thought of as ‘the world’. I can give you a list and tell you what many of them got up to .. and that was from INSIDE the Christian Church. At least the other people were not pretending to be pious while ordering another member of their clergy to be murdered in some nasty way. The hypocrasy of that .. destroys people’s faith in God, not just the church, no – their faith in God .. and its not God doing the bad deeds .. no, no, its the human beings. At least an occultist only turns people away from Satan and witchcraft. And then there is the zeal of those newly converted back to the church .. they expect you to believe every word they say about how nasty Wicca is? Oh come on now .. they gave up Wicca when they took up black magic. There is no black magic in WICCA. And, haven’t you noticed how intense a person can be about the dangers of smoking, when they don’t, or can’t smoke anymore .. I think there’s a saying something along the lines of ‘don’t throw out the baby with the bath water’.

Wicca might have opened a door for some people to other beliefs, but it was their choice to the journey into darker magic. I doubt the Dark God/Goddess stood up in front of them, wrapped a rope around them and dragged them in .. hell no, they got curious, then they got hungry .. and then they joined the Inquisition, to legally go and murder and maim people .. all in the name of God. Ok, so I flipped from one side of beliefs to the other with that thought .. but I am sure, if people take off their blinkers, they will see what I mean.

There is a dark side to everything, including the Christian church. It is up to us to choose to only be in the Light. We can blame others for our actions, when things go nasty, but .. its not the belief system that’s at fault, its what we do with it.

      Love & Peace
      Ama

      • Right on and very well put

      • No matter how one tries to sanitize something that is corrupt and steeped in wickedness, you cannot do so because its foundation is rotten and cankerous. Can a leopard cannot change its spots.

The Wicca Rede is HARM NONE. Yet, Crowley and Gardner made it their business NOT to practice what they wrote. If Wicca involves invoking fallen angels to aid them in their magic spells, and we know that fallen angels/demons are malevolent and evil spiritual creatures then exactly who are you kidding. Satan is god of Wicca.

It is men like Crowley and Gardner who created Wicca. If they are the foundation of Wicca, then how can you take something that was originally created by evil men and say it is good. A peach tree cannot produce oranges, and evil men like Crowley and Gardner from their actions, beliefs and lives alone did not produce godly and good fruit.

Reference to this…….Crowely, and other money and power hungry people, are not, in my opinion, a good reason not to practise Wicca. They are no worse than many of the Popes I have read about over the years, who abused their own followers to line their pockets and give them control over what they thought of as ‘the world’

The Popes and Crowley are one and the same, both were experienced black magicians. The very symbols of Catholicism originated from different pagan cultures. The only difference between the Popes and Crowley, is that the Pope hides behind Christianity and Crowley openly confessed his love for Satan.

The Catholic Popes were some of the most demonically possessed people on the planet. The Popes held ejaculation contests in the Vatican, practiced incest, adopted their males lovers as sons, engaged in bestiality and engaged in every sexual perversions under the sun. They fathered innumerable children out of wedlock, and many were murdered in the very act of adultery. Sound like Crowley would have made an excellent Pope and would have been a fine Catholic.

I should add that Catholicism is purely pagan and predates Christianity and Wicca. In fact Catholicism and Wicca can be CONNECTED.

Wiccans revere and worship The Great Mother, Diana, Inanna, Isis and Ishtar just to name a few. These Wiccan goddesses are also worshipped in the Catholic Church under different names.

Many Catholics worship these SAME goddesses that Wiccans worship in ignorance. The only difference is that Catholics call the Wiccan goddess, The Great Mother by a Christian name MARY.

Encyclopedia Britannica states: “Through her identification with the Greek Aphrodite and the Roman Venus, Inanna-Ishtar, the queen of heaven, still survives in Roman Catholic iconography – e.g., as the Virgin Mary standing on the moon.”

Dictionary of Phrase and Fable, 1894: “Queen of Heaven with the ancient Phoenicians, was Astarte; Greeks, Hera; Romans, Juno; Trivia, Hecate, Diana, the Egyptian Isis, etc., were all so called; but with the Roman Catholics it is the Virgin Mary.”

Temple of the Temptress: “Diana was called the Mother goddess and Queen of heaven, just as Mary is called Mother of god and queen of heaven

Reference to this………There is no black magic in WICCA. And, haven’t you noticed how intense a person can be about the dangers of smoking, when they don’t, or can’t smoke anymore .. I think there’s a saying something along the lines of ‘don’t throw out the baby with the bath water’

Wiccans are known to wear and use the pentagram within a circle in rites and rituals. The Pentagram has long been used by black magicians in their rites and rituals.

All witchcraft is an abomination to God and Jesus who created the universe. God has always abhorred witchcraft from the days Noah when the fallen angels/demonic spirits taught mankind to do enchantments, cast spells, make weapons and how to use poison to kill.

1 Samuel 15:23 – For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king.

Galatians 5:20 – Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies

2 Chronicles 33:6- And he caused his children to pass through the fire in the valley of the son of Hinnom: also he observed times, and used enchantments, and used witchcraft, and dealt with a familiar spirit, and with wizards: he wrought much evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.

        INQUISITION

I would appreciate if all those who are trying to discredit and cast a negative on Christianity please do NOT use the Catholic Church, Church of England, Holy Wars, Inquisitions etc as an example that Christianity has a dark side. The Catholic Church and Church of England has killed millions.

Jesus and his disciples NEVER forced, imprisoned, tortured, burned people at the stake, stole people’s land, or sexually brutalized men, women and children. So what dark side are you talking about.

Every man has a right to worship who ever he wants. Waya, how long halt ye between two opinions? If the LORD be God, then follow him: but if Baal, Diana, Inanna, Astarte, Lugh, Pan be god then follow them. You cannot serve God and Satan.

Matthew 6:24- No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

        • The mistake you are making with this logic is that you are judging everyone in a group based upon two particular people. The same logic could be used to discredit any religion ceretainly including Christianity.

Judging all who claim to be Wicca based upon the actions or words of two individuals is false logic. In fact it is the very same logic that I am always trying to point out to those who judge Christ by the actions of human beings or organized religion.

And just in case, before you come back at me and say that I am taking the side of witchcraft or something like that you should have noticed that I have never said one way or the other what I believe the answer to this question to be. I am not defending Wicca nor am I attacking your religious beliefs. I am simply pointing out the fallacy of your logic.

        • Oh and I forgot to say that I am right with you on a lot of the points you made about Catholicism. I believe those are the facts and can be found by anyone who does some research into history ( requires no belief in the Bible for folks to prove this :) )

        • KSmith, I’m not even going to be polite. Have you ever actually met and talked to a Wiccan person? I’ll bet you have and you just didn’t know it. They are just like you and me, and they don’t have horns. Have you ever actually asked them what they do with their lives, how they live it, what good they do for others, while sitting up there on your mighty pillar of salt? God help us. How old are you?

Until you tell us what church you come from, you’ll continue to get comments about the foundation of the religion, not specific groups .. and believe me, I’ve visited lots of versions of the Christian church, and some of them can make a person’s mind boggle. You hate Catholics .. you are hating more than half the Christian religious group, as far as I can remember. Is a Christian supposed to HATE another Christian? What happened to ‘love everyone’.. you know, the Jesus saying ‘love one another like I love you’ and ‘love your neighbour as yourself’ .. I guess you must not love yourself. And while I agree that the popes have a lot to answer for .. I am not calling them the spawn of the devil. Again, you’ve never met any .. pope or spawn .. so how the hell do you know who each of them is individually? Can you go to hell for being judgmental .. because that’s the slippery road you seem to be putting your feet on …

Crowley and whomever did NOT create Wicca. And they were not Wiccan. If you are going to state something with such nastiness, at least get your facts right.

Speaking of Popes .. one of them is in YOUR bible .. his name is Peter. Jesus said ‘on you I will build my church’ .. St Peter .. the good guy. So before you decide that ALL popes are black magicians .. be careful, you just condemned one of your own.

I am not sure why you still think that Wicca and witchcraft are the same thing. They are not.

Wiccans frequently wear pentagrams as jewellry, but also they are a form of protection? So is the cross. Black witches use both hanging upsidedown, not the other way up. Are the Wiccans responsible for what black magic practitioners choose to do? Are the Christians responsible for what the Jews did, because its the foundation of YOUR faith? That makes them responsible for crucifying Jesus .. if you want to take it to the extreme.

Go and study some comparative religion with the same intensity you have used on your VERSION of the bible .. you will find that there are great similarites in lots of them. It might open that closed mind and heart of yours.

Diana.. I am climbing down from my soapbox now. LOL Sorry, CT.

          Love & Peace
          Ama

          • I can’t help but feel K. Smith was making a little personal dig at me with his comments on Catholicism. So, I’m going to hide my soap box until I can calm down enough to quell the urge to pounce. Or perhaps I’ll let you borrow it, Ama. You’re posts seem to be a little more eloquent than mine in cases such as these.

            :)

          • Hmmm.. thank you Diana. They might only be eloquant because I bite my tongue .. well mostly .. and get told to sit on my hands, when my angels think a remark is a little too bitey. LOL You keep your box, honey, mine is way big enough. :-)

No, I don’t think KS was having a go at anything but a personal grudge. If he read right, he’d know you are not Catholic.

            Love & Peace
            Ama

    • I posted the Wiccan Rede so that the person who asked the question could see it for his or herself and make an informed decision. It was totally relevant to what was being asked.

Christianity isn’t the only religion in the world, K. Smith. You would be wise to at least do some research before you condemn everything as Devil worship….

As a side note, you seem to have a really passive aggressive nature. Perhaps you need more fiber in your diet, friend :)

  7. thanks guys for the comments. oh and k. smith, Crowley and Gardner were practicing black magick. but what if i dont want to practice black magick, just dream spells, protection spells money spells, and other spells for good? would that be considered evil to you?

    • I think the most important thing here is to know what you’re getting yourself into. I realize that you have good intentions, but, you are young….and this isn’t the place in your life where you should be making hard and fast decisions. Do some research…and then do some more research. Find the answers you are seeking through study, and then you will be able to come to an informed decision on whether or not Wicca is the religion for you.

Regardless of what religion you choose, I wish you luck in finding your faith.

      ~Diana

    • Hi Waya

Jesus turned water into wine. Jesus walked on water. Jesus made a measily amount of fish and bread go an awful long way at a ‘party’. Jesus rose people from the dead. Jesus drove out demons. Jesus healed the sick – even lepers doomed to die.

What is this, if not magic?

Now, I’m not saying Jesus was a Wiccan (LOL! lovely thought, though that is) because Jesus was a Jew, but what I am saying is, if something is done for the greater good, how can it possibly be evil?

As with everything in life, always be mindful why you are doing something. In other words, if it has a detremental affect on even one person, then it is not for the greater good. It can be so easy to use our ‘powers/gifts’ or magick for the wrong reasons – even if done unintentionally at the time.

      Be wise!

You quoted someone in your OP “…When I asked her why, she said “because you are trying to contact the dead, and the Bible says that is wrong. So that makes it evil.”

And yet, the Bible also advises us to test the spirits to make sure they are from God …

1 John 4:1 – “Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God!”

Why advise us on how to converse with spirits at all, if it is forbidden??? Just my thought for the day.

      AJ
      x

    • All magic involves the use of Fallen Angels i.e. demons. If you want to do a spell or invoke some spirit for protection, then you are calling on evil angels to help you. White or black magic are an abomination to God. God told Israel NOT to learn the ways of the heathen because they were an abomination to him.

Deuteronomy – When thou art come into the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations. There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch. Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee.

What I consider evil is unimportant and irrelevant. It is what the Word of God states. Any involvement in witchcraft or sorcery is forbidden by the bible. Like I stated before, whatever you do, WE ALL have to stand before God and give an account.

Revelation 20:11-12 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. 2And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works

      • All magic? Well I suppose one would have to define the word magic.

Would turning a rod into a serpent be considered magic? Yes I think that most people would agree. How about turning a few loaves and fish into enough food to feed a multitude? Yep magic Turning water into wine?

Tell us what is the difference between a miracle and magic? If you say that God does miracles and the devil does magic so one is evil and one is good and that is the difference I dont think too many people will buy into that.

      • … and Moses was also pretty hot on the old magic thing too … what with the parting of sea’s and everything.

K Smith – if only demon’s are responsible for all things of a magical nature, that means Jesus and Moses miracles were both assisted by Satan. I’m sure that’s not right …….. is it?

      • Define majic … here’s a simple one, pass the alkazelzer .. over here in Oz its called Enos. It does magical things when it hits liquid .. I’ll explain. :-)

Let me do a magic spell.

“Oh great and powerful God of all powdery bits and shiny clear liquids, hear me”. Picks up jar, takes spoon, gets spoonful of grainy powder.

“I’ll now mix this green grainy powder into pure (humour me, we are on tank water) clear liquid, and magically combine it all together with this especially selected aluminium (I think) spoon”.

Magically it fizzes up .. but ..

before I drink it .. I will make sure to invoke my personal demon to make sure it works to settle the nausea in my stomach. LOL (Oh where is the comfy chair?)

Or better yet, pass the chocolate powder for an iced chocolate. Now what is the magic spell for that, and do I have to invoke a different demon?

You know, guys, I wonder if Jesus did turn the water into wine, or maybe he just empowered it (through his personal demon called God) with LIFE energy and made everyone drunk and silly on it .. just think, no hangover. :-)

KS, if you knew what I knew about demons, you would not be making thoughtless statements and assumptions about where they work in people’s lives, and which religious folk they inhabit. I hope you never meet one, ever.

  8. Christianity is only 2000 years old. Before Christianity there was Judaism (and it’s about 6,000 years old?) According to Judaism, Elohim (Gods) created the world (hence why genersis says “Let us make humankind in OUR image) Yahweh (the male Jewish deity who claims to have created the ENTIRE universe and DEMANDS we worship only him) is 1 of 73 siblings. Siblings? Hmm… This must mean there is a Goddess who made his father into a father, no? Yahweh is a fire deity who is angry and jealous and doesn’t want you having pride, whilst PROUDLY boasting of his tyranny. So naturally he’s going to say that EVERYTHING that doesn’t worship HIM is evil. China beliefs are “evil,” African beliefs are “evil,” pretty much anything not from HIM is evil. This is called bigotry. When you believe YOUR beliefs are *superior* to everone else’s.

My advice would be to do research and don’t stop. Research the origins of Christianity (which are Pagan.) Research Wicca (which is a modern version of an OLDER religion), research holidays and modern interpretations of the older bible.

Bare in mind, I’m not discrediting Christianity, I AM however saying that it doesn’t have grounds to point it’s fingers and say OTHERS are wrong … when its very roots are tide to that which it condemns. ;)

    • Nicely put Otherwordly Apple, (you will now be called OA lol) 73 or 71? I know of 72 names for God?

      Welcome to our playpen. :-D

      Love & Peace
      Ama

      • Agreed, Ama! New playmates are always welcome. Especially when they’re intelligent and capable of explaining without attacking. Playing nicely is also an added bonus!

  9. Caretaker,

You and I have had some serious difference of opinion in the past. You claim that I have judged you, called you names, and insulted you via emails. If you have kept the emails, do publish ALL of them, let those who read them come to their own conclusion. I have nothing to hide.

I kept visiting your site because of the interesting stories and questions. I do not use your site as my pulpit, I have no hidden agenda, I am not interested in coverting anyone to christianity nor am I anyone’s judge.

    • I am not interested in arguing with you about something I know to be a fact. Yes, I have the emails. You called me a Satanist right out in the comments once. You didnt know a thing about me but you judged me. If I wanted to go through the emails and copy and paste I could easily show how you have judged me falsely more than once. I dont care to argue about it.

You arent interested in converting anyone to Christianity? Well, I think that might be a problem because arent you supposed to be trying to do what Jesus would do? :)

      • “Love one another as I have loved you”, “Love thy neighbour as thyself”.

        Good idea CT,
        Love & Peace
        Ama

        • Thats what I would like to see Ama. I would like to see “Christians” trying to do what Jesus would do. If we had more people liike that the world would be a much better place in my opinion.

          • So would I, mate. I would also like to learn to curb this flash temper of mine. I just got told to ‘sit on my hands’. LOL

            Love & Peace
            Ama :-)

      • Wow, CT!!!
Sorry to hear that K.Smith did such things!!

        K.Smith;
you say with vigor and vim that you follow to the letter, the teachings of Jesus Christ, yet, with CareTaker, you failed to follow the one most important rule of Christ which is “to love thy neighbor as thy self.” Sorry. By calling CT a devil worshiper(which, in my opinion is NOT your place to JUDGE!) you have shamed Christ. GOD is the only judge(if, in fact that is what He will do) and I hang my head in shame for you and hope that God and Christ find forgiveness for you. But, then again, it is MY belief, that God is an unconditionally loving God and that no forgiveness is necessary. May you find peace in your life as well as find it in your heart to be more “Christ like.” Love, Peace, and May the Loving Light of God surround you! LunaTerra

      • This response made me smile, CT. :)

Thank you for that. Admittedly, I almost blew my top a few times when replying to some things K.Smith had said. However, I found it within myself to walk away from the computer for a bit and find some patience within myself. I don’t know how you do it friend, I think I would have lost it by now. Kudos on your superhuman restraint :)

  10. I do not think that Wiccans are devil worshpers, I think satanist are devil worshipers and I thingk that there are psople out there that worship different eviil beings mostly because they give the worshiper a false and created sense of ower or “inside information” on things. Some individuals have made their own personal deal with the devil. I know that there are a few that will highly disagree with me on this and maybe close to 2 billion that would agree in some sense if you are worshipping anything besides Jehova God through Jesus Christ His Son, then you are subconsciously supporting the worship of the devil. The devil is in everything that is not of Godm every religion and belief. Why you may ask? Because the devil does not care one bit what you do believe in as long as yo so not believe in God and His awesome Gospel.

    • Good answer, JK. And you may well be right.

I think the old saying that applies here is ‘damned if we do (worship God and break the rules) and damned if we don’t (worship God). Oh dear, we are all in trouble.

      Hmm…
      Love & Peace
      Ama

      • And here’s a thought:

If the devil wants us to stop believing in God, we will also have to stop being in it, because the devil only exists because God allows it to, and without God the devil would not exist. Kinda self-defeating, in my opinion.

I think the devil wants us to live in fear of its power, and what it can do to us .. our physical selves, because it cannot harm our spirit … and to fear God and keep God far away from our lives, because of that fear.

        My opinion,
        Love & Peace
        Ama

  11. I knew a woman deeply involved with wicca, she was also a catholic school teacher. Worst expierence EVER!! months later I was running from her. What I saw at this wicca camp on halloween nite was a bunch of people possessed, chanting until their eyes went into the backs of their heads, sweating and this sickly crying and weeping for who the hell knows what. and wow did the area ever reek of stink!!…They say they don’t believe in satan, sure how eles to they get people in . Any normal person would never bother participating with any group who worships satan …that should be a eye opener to any christian,if any christian sticks by a group of people who don’t believe in satan or that satan is not real, then don’t believe this so-called christian either, cuz their not christian. They are false christians which many church’s are full of.

    • It doesn’t take having satan in the camp with a bunch of silly people to have them acting weird and having their eyes roll back in their heads. We are more than capable of twisting ourselves in knots with our ‘beliefs’ and ‘desires’ without the help of outside entities. What did the place actually smell of? Swamp water and sweaty bodies?

And did you know there are Christian groups that dance themselves to a frenzy clutching poisonous snakes. That’s not demonic, that’s a belief from the Old Testament.

And the group you described above is NOT Wiccan. Every faith gets distorted when people add their own interpretations to the mix.

      Love & Peace
      Ama

      • They most likely stank of hash, Ama.

        • You may well be right, AJ. The smell of that stuff is enough to make me sick for hours .. I used to drive a taxi .. I never smoked it myself.

          Love & Peace
          Ama

    • I’m still lost on where everyone is coming up with the idea that those who practice the Wiccan religion are worshiping Satan?

Proof or it isn’t true (kinda like pics or it didn’t happen).

      :)

      • Everyone??? eek. :-) Not me, Diana. LOL Just a few deluded people who speak without facts.

        Love & Peace
        Ama

        • I should have clarified my “everyone” by saying that I meant everyone who has previously stated that Wiccans are devil worshipers. My mistake ;)

To clarify…I did not mean any of the people who have posted here and used common sense along with reasoning skills and educated responses :)

    • HI Twilight

I think that unless the group are actually worshiping Satan – ie chanting his name, trying to invoke him or his angels, praising the dark lord directly or whatever it is satanists actually do – then they ain’t devil worshipers. They are wierd people who like to writh around alot in a dramatic way. A kind of mass hysteria. And most likely they are connecting to some earth god / goddess or another.

Satanists don’t pretend to be anything other than satanists. They are as proud of their religion as any other religious person is proud of their ‘club’. You won’t find a true devil worshiper cowering under the bedclothes saying “I’m not a satanist really – honest!!”

  12. a side note, the color of magic, black or white, does not matter, but the intention behind it. making a simple ball of energy is considered black magic because it CAN harm someone.

    • As you said, Joel, it depends on the intention of the person making the ball of energy .. make it positive, and it can change the structure of an entire household’s energy and close all the gates in it that were letting through nasty entities .. been there, done that, with friends from around the world, for a lady in American. Man, that was LONG time ago. LOL

Getting into a car and driving it, could also be considered ‘black magic’ (because the car could hit someone and hurt them, or the driver, or malfunction and blow up) .. because the electricity from the motor (lightning god eek) was considered magic until people developed an understanding of what we still think it is .. its all in the perspective ..

      Love & Peace
      Ama :-)

    • ANYTHING can be harmful if put into the wrong hands. Heck, you can choke on tic tac but does that mean it should be banned? Does that mean that Satan made it? Does it mean you worship Satan if you eat it?

  13. Hello Waya,
I’ve comment on similar posting before about Wicca, magic, etc. The bible says in Galatians 5: 19-21 (NIV) “The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God. “

There are two things that we get from this scripture: 1) God doesn’t want us involved in witchcraft, and a number of unclean things. 2) Those gifts wouldn’t originate from God. “I thought there were many examples of magic or miracles performed in ancient times?” You are correct. It’s important to understand though, those that are mentioned in the bible, represented God had these gifts ultimately to declare God’s glory and power. What God’s can do now, and what he’s able to do in the future. I understand many from this site don’t have total trust of the bible in its entirety, believing it to be changed by man through out history. So many here will probably have a rebuttal. From your question, it sounded like you wanted an answer from the bible, so here it is.

  14. K. Smith, i dont want to be mean but, i’m sure Ama and CT and everyone else is done arguing and listening to your comments about how horrible wicca, and all the other religions are besides Christanity. and you even dissed that religion too! my advice is if you dont know what your talking about, i suggest you dont talk about it! and i agree with Ama when she says you probably have talked to a wiccan and didt even know it. wicca is the third largest religion out there right now.

and crowley and that other guy werent really wiccans. they were just wannabes and they had a lot of wiccan friends, and came to their meetings. again, you still dont know what you’re talking about. and in a lot of your comments, you tend to fall back on crowley and the other guy when you say wicca is evil. are those two guys the only reason you know about to say wicca is evil? because it sure seems like it. again, i am really not trying to be rude here but geez!

i’m sure people woud really appreciate it if you got your facts straight. when you do, then you can come back and see if you can still diss on the Wiccan religion.

    Lil’ Paws

  15. Witchcraft is oppose to god commands and his traditions.wiccans get help from Satan and some devilish demons to do witchcraft. witchcraft is a thing that such demons have learned to people from ancient times until now and that demons help a wiccan when he is doing that. That devilish and rebel demons are Satanist and obey of Satan so they are enemy for god and try distance people from god. and who follows wiccans get out from gods sanctum and join to his enemy. God is more powerful than ,devilish demons and their followers as wiccans. What you wish is in the gods hands no about wiccans

  16. one of my friends is actually a wiccan. she is also a Christian. i am a Christian myself. i asked her about this, and she said “Wicca is’nt evil, nor is it devil worship. people just think that because of Crowley and Gardner.” so K. Smith, i suggest you talk to someone like my friend. maybe they can set you straight.

when i first heard of Wicca, i google searched it. i tried to find where it came from and what it’s all about. the first result i got was about Crowley and Gardner. after reading about how much evil they have done, i emmedietly thought wicca was evil, because of those two guys. then i met my Wiccan friend. i asked him about it and he showed me this website and what it said about Crowley and Gardner. he pointed out to me that they didnt create wicca, they just did very evil things while they were involved in it.

    K. Smith, again, please get your facts straight. i’m sure this poor girl who asked this question is still very comfused. Waya, Wicca is not devil worship and it is not evil. take it from a Christian with a Wiccan friend. it is only evil if you practice the evil spells that people come up with and put out there. remember the Wiccan Rede, whatever you put out, comes back to you threefold. it goes something like that.

i’m sure that if my friend can practice spells, and only believe in God, and her spells work, i’m sure you can too.

    Lil’ Paws

  17. thank you Lil’ Paws. that really helped. i have another question. is there an age limit for practicing Wicca? i am only 12 and have no idea.

random question, but, why is your name Lil’ Paws?

    • Most covens have an age limit, or only allow people under a certain age if they have a parent in the coven. Nothing to prevent you from studying on your own for now. You may find that you enjoy a solitary path, for me the solitary path has been very rewarding.
Silver RavenWolf’s book Teen Witch might interest you. She tailors alot of her writing to younger readers, and has several informative books for all age groups.

  18. My personal beliefs have never “FIT” into what organized religion has become in today’s world. I have always felt like an “odd duck” when it comes to personal beliefs such as reincarnation and all things mystical or paranormal. I am searching for something to enlighten my life, faith, spiritual beliefs, and psychic abilities.

I believe I have been led to look into Wicca and Magick practices. I am still trying to understand the differences in these two but to me they seem so alike they are almost interchangeable and are quite possibly one and the same. I am convinced after seeing some of the posts that I have been led to this site for a purpose and I will make a connection with someone who may be able to guide me somehow through this maze.

Thanks to all and many blessings.

    Layne

P.S. I am not afraid of the bible thumpers as I’ve had some bad experiences within the confines of organized religion. I will tell you from my own experiences that hypocrites, thieves, liars, and such abound within the walls of the churches today.

    • You might want to check out Silver RavenWolf’s To Ride a Silver Broomstick. Great beginner’s guide if you’re interested in Wicca. I would also recommend Scott Cunningham’s Wicca: A Guide for the Solitary Practitioner. Both excellent books.

      • Thank you both , Ama & SnowWolf, for your reply and information. I have written both books down and will look into them. I have also heard a book called A Witch Alone by Marian Green would be a good one. I would only be interested in white or good magick so no worries of having a bad karma here, at least not intentionally and hopefully not unintentionally either!

Again I am not sure what the differences are in Wicca and Magick. Is Magick referring to the spells that Wicca uses or??

        Sending Blessings and Love, Layne

        • Wicca is best described as a religion, philosophy, or belief system. Magick is the act of focusing one’s will on a desired outcome through meditation and ritual. A Wiccan may perform magick, or may simply follow the philosophy. A person can perform magick but not be a Wiccan. Many Wiccans do practice magick though. And some people will be more naturally inclined towards magick, but with a little practice anyone can successfully perform magick.

        • Some Wiccan people do magic spells, some don’t. Wicca can be called a ‘religion’ because it is a belief system that honours the Goddess and various other deities of the earth. There are rituals and traditions that go back thousands of years.

Yes, Magick refers to spells, both light and dark. Spells are a focus for a person’s intentions, as any rituals actually are. Works the same in the Christian Church with Holy Communion .. you say a certain group of words and receive a symbolic gift (bread and wine) to represent your personal connection to the Deity, in this case His Son, Jesus Christ.

Be very careful using spells, Layne, we are only human and often we cannot see what the outcome of our actions will be.

          Love & Peace
          Ama

    • Hi Layne,

Wicca is the belief system, and magic practise is what some Wiccans and Witches do – its the action.

I agree with SnowWolf about both books. My daughter had them as a teen, and I checked them out with care before she really read them. I am very protective of anything to do with magic. I think she also has a book called the Kitchen Witch, that has the BEST brownie recipe in it we have ever eaten. LOL

I ask of you what I asked of her .. before doing any spell, think of how much it might hurt the person you are casting it for, or towards. And remember the Rede ‘if it do no harm, do what you will’ .. otherwise you will be answerable to a whole lot of Karma.

      Love & Peace
      Ama Nazra

  19. I’m Pagan, but not Wiccan. However, I know many Wiccans and they are as far from evil as anyone could imagine. Wiccans strive to do things in the most positive way so that they aren’t bringing harm to themselves or others. That sounds simple, but if you REALLY think about it, it is tough to consider each and every move ya make and the consequences that will follow your actions.

That being said, there are those who say that they are Wiccan who simply don’t follow the “rules”. This goes for all faiths and religions though. After all, Hitler was a devout Christian and I’m certain we can all see he wasn’t living by the teachings of Christ!

My point being, a few bad apples shouldn’t ruin the whole batch. It isn’t the faith that is bad or evil – it’s the intent of the person who is praticing and that person would be “bad” no matter what their chosen faith.

By the way, I personally believe God isn’t so trivial to care what we call him/her or what we call our belief system. This is some silly human characteristic we’ve tossed upon our creator. The important thing is to love. When we have love in our hearts, our actions will show that.

    Namaste!

    Blessings & Light,
    Robyn
