I wrote last week about experiencing a possible waking dream wherein my body remains at rest but I’m awake and unable to move. (Waking dream Or Ghostly Chemist?)
This was an odd moment. I was home after work and my roommate wasn’t home. I left my bedroom door open and I took a nap. It was a nice day and my room was filled with the light that spilled in through the vertical blinds. My fan was on as usual for a little white noise.
During the day, across the street there are a few soccer matches, so voices typically can be heard coming in through the bathroom window, so hearing voices isn’t that uncommon.
What is uncommon however, is what happened next. I woke from sleeping, only to realize I couldn’t move. My eyes were open, and I could clearly see everything in my room. Now we all know, that sleep paralysis can cause hallucinations, but this was different. The voices I heard were different from the usual voices. It was clear that there were two men and one woman. There was also an unusual sight around my open door.
Around the door was what seemed to be RED Lighting bolts… They went all the way around the area of the door that I could see. It was so strange. I closed my eyes. I was so scared, and then I was able to move, but even though I could move, I didn’t want to. There was that feeling of dread that people always say accompanies a haunting.
A few days later, I was reading a story about the history of someone’s house. I began to wonder if there was any research I could do on my apartment building. I typed in the address into a search engine and something came up. It turns out, during the Summer of 2006, there had been a fire in my building and a 53 year old man, had suffered critical burns to most of his body. An apartment number was not listed. That red lighting bolt around my door began to make sense.
I was reading my bible last night and I began to hear something outside my bedroom door. It sounded like someone was walking right outside my door. I became scared and spoke to whatever it was. After a few minutes of staring at the bottom of the door, the energy seemed to leave. I felt an amazing sense of relief. Could this be the apartment that burned?
