Before you hear this story I just wanted to put out that I had never had a paranormal experience before this and ever since had been very vulnerable to anything that happens.
I was in 6th grade with my friend Kevin going up sugarloaf (a mountain not far from where we lived) using a new trail that we found hidden behind some trees. This is not where the story gets twisted. Now, this trail is kinda dangerous with cliffs over like 33% of the trail leading to an almost instant death. We had just climbed to the top of it and was thanking god I didn’t die from falling.
After we had our fun on the summit we had to go down. Kevin suggested we take the trail down but I refused, I didn’t want to risk dying but eventually he convinced me to go down. Nothing happened.
The next day I got some kind of sick pleasure and thought that I was invincible to that trail so I then brought my dog up that trail. I was nervous she might dragged my off a cliff but she didn’t. Instead of going down that trail we took the other trail that is most common. I wanted to make it as long of a walk as I could so looking at the map, I thought I was making a larger circle but then accidently wound up on the bridle trail (a long system of trails leading up the mountain next to sugarloaf called north sugarloaf).
After about 30 ft I knew I was on the wrong trail. I had never seen anyone go on this trail or ever even had heard of it. There wasn’t an observatory tower or even a cleared summit on North Sugarloaf is it isn’t as popular as sugarloaf. Then, weird stuff started happening.
I got the uneasy feeling that I was being watched and told to get out. I ignored it as I had the company of my dog with me. 50 more ft in there was another split, I took the right one and went further, further away from civilization. I wasn’t scared as this was only like 5sq. miles of reservation so nothing could go wrong right? Boy was a I wrong. 10 minutes in and after going through like 100 more splits each taking the right one I realized that with each passing step, I got more and more chills down my back and plus it was getting darker and darker as I progressed further.
The feeling of “get out, get out, get out” flew through my head it felt as though it had its own beat getting faster and faster until. I stopped at the same time my dog stopped. She lifted her ears and faced in a direction as if alerting me to something. I ignored it and thought nothing of it. The thought then came to me about bears and I started walking back when in the faintest of all whispers I heard the chilling words of “geeettt ooouuuttt” as if it was right in front of my face. I sprinted out of there literally having my dog drag me and about every 5 seconds “geeettt oooutttt” buzzed in my ears again. There was no way to fight it.
I then went down a hill and saw an electric fence and ran right into it pulling it off of its poles. Luckily it wasn’t on and I then saw the blood dripping from my face, legs, and arms. It then came to me that I just sprinted past many thorn bushes. I then walked home, horrified. It scared my as I was only 12 and this was my first encounter ever. I don’t know what to think about it. I thought about church but my entire family is atheists and I don’t want them insulting me.
I later did some research and found that this almost exactly matches up to “red eyed demons” I don’t know what to think. I want my friend to climb up it but now he is too scared. Thank you for your time
