The Most Haunted House I Ever Lived In

Posted on September 12, 2009

At the time I was living with my older brother and his family. We had moved in to this old farm style house that was up on a hill. It looks like a normal house from the outside but a whole lot different in the inside. A lot of strange things had happened like we had some knickknacks in a glass case that they would be one way when you go to bed and they would be turned another way when you woke up.

One time I was sleeping on the sofa because someone was sleeping in my room. I saw a head pop out of the wall. It was a woman with blond curly hair, she was pretty and she didn’t say any thing she just looked around. I think that was the person that use to talk to my niece at night.

The kids use to hear things coming from the attic. The door to it use to be in the girls room. They put things against it because it opened and closed by its self. You sit on the sofa and you can feel some one touching your head.

At the time I had a nephew that three years old. He would be in his room alone playing with his toys and I would hear him telling someone to leave his toys alone. My one other nephew heard voices and his name use to show up on the TV.

We had a dog when we first moved there, he wouldn’t stay in the house. He ended up running away and ended up living down the street with another family but he came to visit but not stay. Before the dog left my sister-in-law was sleeping on the sofa and she heard the door knob jiggle. The door opened and the dog was sitting there looking in but wouldn’t come in.

One day I was doing laundry and I bent down to pick up some laundry. I heard a voice say “hey” in my ear that sounded like a child.

The really scary thing that happened to me was when I was sleeping in my room and one side of my bed was moving then some thing went through my bed and my legs. I couldn’t move. I was really scared so I covered my head and when I did that I heard some one say “hey” in my ear.

We were the last family in that house and now its boarded and fenced up. We were told by a neighbor that the last family that lived in there before us was murdered. The husband killed his wife and two children; a little girl and boy, then his self and some said the grandmother was killed too but I don’t know if its true.

At the time I was in my 20′s and living in upstate New York. Now I’m in my 30′s and live in Indiana this place I will never forget.

I hope every one enjoys this story and hope every one stays safe out there.

Thanx for the great story , you said you saw a head pop out of the wall? i live in South Africa on a farm and had the same experience with faces looking at me late at night out of the rock wall, but they haven’t been doing any harmful so it does not bother me.

Scary! Those old farm houses always creep me out. You just know a lot of stuff went on over the years including accidents and stuff… when an animal doesn’t like a place there’s a very real possibility something paranormal is going on. Glad you moved out before someone got hurt or worse!
