Back in the early 1980′s I was lodging at a boarding school for disabled children in Blackpool Lancashire. I was aged around 13 or 14.
I had many friends at this school, but there was one I will always remember. Her name was Marta. Marta was lovely girl, very friendly and we were very close. We shared a dormitory with three other girls.
One night Marta woke up crying, saying she was in pain, so I went and got a member of the night staff. After a while an ambulance came to take her to the hospital. After a week or two we were told that Marta had passed away. I was so sad.
Some weeks after Marta had passed away I was sitting in my bed reading a book. For some reason I looked over to were Marta used to sleep and she was sitting on her bed. At first I wasn’t sure of what I was seeing then she spoke.
She said, “Tell everyone the pain has gone and it’s nice were I am.” With that she disappeared. I was so scared, I ran out of the bedroom and to the night staff to tell them what I had seen. They came back with me to the dorm, she was nowhere to be seen.
After that I never saw Marta again. But now as an adult I understand that she was just letting me know she was out of pain and at ease. Goodnight and God bless Marta. You will always be in my heart.

Thats a nice story. When I was twelve my great grandma died and she had a stroke. I would go outside and find two old ladies in my yard. When I went back inside and got my mother they were gone. That happened on several occasions. I think they were dong something like you said in your story letting us know they were ok (the other was my aunt Pat)
