Ghost Stories & Paranormal Encounters

This is an exact event that I saw with my own eyes some 4 years ago. Bouley Bay is a very beautiful hill on the north coast of Jersey, Channel Islands, UK. It has many stories and legends from its past smuggling from centuries past. I myself have been diving off this bay for over 20 years and knew nothing about its past. I have been up and down this hill thousands of times towing my boat etc. I’ve walked up it, I’ve driven up it and had never seen anything unexplainable or strange until this particular early evening.

I had taken my boat back up the hill to park it at the farm, and had to get back to the dive shop to collect my aqualungs for the next day. The dive shop is at the bottom of the hill and as I was driving down the hill I looked automatically over the embankment as I always do to see what traffic was coming up because it brakes into a sharp blind corner and when I go down with my boat I have to take a wide berth. It was late September and early evening sun was just down and as I brought my eyes back to the front I saw a lady all in white who I thought was a person, and as I came round the blind corner maybe only 5 seconds later she had disappeared. I stopped my car, got out and looked around and then realized I’d seen a ghost.

When I arrived at the shop my friend said to me what was wrong, I merely said if I told you, you would never believe me. So I did and he told me when he was 17 he had seen it too. Later after a drink he revealed, out of all the trees on that hill which one was the tree he had seen it some 30 years before, and it was exactly the same tree.

After contacting the Jersey Evening Post there was a true story of a young girl who had gotten married and found out her husband was unfaithful to her and she hung herself from that tree. So I leave this true story for you to enjoy, maybe I will go up and down this hill for another 20 years and never be fortunate to see that sight that I saw perfectly for only 2 – 3 seconds.
