The Ghost Who Made us Sneeze

Posted on January 1, 2010

Now I know a lot of people have the quote, “if a ghost walks through you, you’ll sneeze.” Well here in my house that’s true. We have a lot of things that go on in my house, because we use Ouija and voodoo, hoodoo, and a lot more.

I was sitting here home alone, nothing was going on. My mom had just left to the store for about 20 minutes. About halfway into the time she was gone I started sneezing like mad. And then I heard my mom’s bedroom door knob turn and the door opened. I didn’t know what it was! So I got up to see if anyone was there, but no. So I just thought it was the air vents. I shut the door completely making sure it was shut ! I turned the air off, and laid down.

Once again I started sneezing. As it may be obvious, some people close their eyes while they sneeze, well I close them half way and cry a little. While I was sneezing I swore I saw a woman standing over me. I got up looking around and no one was there.

A few minutes later my mom pulled up and she walked in sneezing. And then she came into my room claiming that I was banging on the walls, but I was watching TV with a low volume. And I was NOT banging on the walls. Later that night I was laying in bed, I don’t fall asleep easily, so I was looking at the clock and I saw something move left to right covering the clock entirely, and again I sneezed. I looked out my bedroom door and saw the computer come on. It’s my computer with my stories on it so I got up freaking out, yelling not to get on my computer without my permission.

When I got in the living room my mom was dead asleep. (She sleeps in the living room since her room is so cold) I turned the computer off and went back to my room to lay down, but it came back on and where the light shined over my mom I saw something moving and blocking the light. Note : We didn’t have any animals in the house that night, and my moms boyfriend wasn’t home.

I know it sounds stupid, but it’s kinda weird if you think about it. I think it’s cool though. At least now I know when I really am being watched. Thanks.

Neah, Ive never heard of sneezing caused by ghost going through you. I think you should maybe call Hollywood and get a movie deal with this story. I think you could give Paranormal a run for its money!!

  2. trolldoll1681 says:

that’s a new one, i’ve never heard a ghost can make you sneeze!

  3. taylor says:

yea it’s a superstition right, that you sneeze when a ghost goes through you? ive heard it before. that’s pretty cool too :)

  4. Jennifer Mills - Young says:

I have to admit that’s a new one for me too, never heard of it before. You’d imagine my household would have had a permanent case of ‘ hay fever’ if that was the case. LOL
But everyone has their own belief systems / superstitions that are unique to an individual, sometimes even just a family or a culture and these beliefs aid the interpretation of supernatural or paranormal events.
Some mediums get bad headaches when someone is trying to come through.
Others get tingly feet- I have a friend whose fingers go pins and needles – and I just get my ‘ spidey sense ‘ feeling.
So if sneezing is their particular way of recognising a presence, it would appear to be completely credible within their own culture.
