The Ghost at Beachwood Road

Posted on November 29, 2007

I am now a local college student but when I was five years old I used to live at 14 Beachwood Road. Life Growing up was normal. I moved in as far back as I can remember on my 5th Birthday.

The first strange thing happened when I was lying in bed at 9:00 playing with my Play Station 1 I got for my birthday and I could smell food in the hall thinking there would be something outside, a surprise. I stayed in bed and just smelt the food. After about 5 minutes the smell got more powerful. I could then hear talking, but I could not recognize the voice. After giving up and leaving my room there was no one, nobody in the corridor and no one on the stairs. All I found was an earring, which I kept in my cupboard.

Two years later it was Christmas day and I was sitting with my parents enjoying my Christmas dinner until I heard the same voice coming from upstairs from the landing.

I Later learned that in 1850 the house once belonged to a woman in her late 80′s. The story goes that the lady was murdered and the thieves went upstairs to see what they could get hold of, having already emptied the cupboards of bags of food. The floorboards couldn’t take the weight and they fell in the cupboard and died.

Nothing happened in the house again and at 14 years old I moved out to a bigger home, but before I did I got my ear pierced and still wear the earring I found 13 years ago

very interesting…. I wonder why this lady waited so long to make her presence known and then to only you…it is very sad the story about her murder. That is most likely why she is still there.
