Virginia Haunted House

I went to see my son Jeremy in Virginia about 6 weeks ago for a few days. He said “I didn’t tell you about our ghost.” He and his girlfriend were standing in the kitchen one day talking in front of the stove, when it sounded like someone threw a glass from across the room and they both heard the loud crashing of glass on the cupboard next to them… only there was no broken glass anywhere, not in the kitchen, around the other side of the wall in the bathroom or in the cupboards in either room.

On one of the nights I was there, he and I had been watching a movie, I on a couch on one side of the room, he on another on the other side. After the movie, I got up to use the bathroom and put a big ashtray on the coffee table in front of him. We both left the room, and …

Haunting in Chesapeake Virginia Apartment

Ok I lived in Chesapeake, Virginia at the time in an apartment complex I would say about a little over 3 years ago. Me and my husband lived there for over a year with nothing strange happening. At this time I was about 6 months pregnant.

I am not sure what started it or why it started happening but a couple of small events happened in my apartment about a month before we started noticing these strange events (My mother came to visit and hadn’t realized our cat must have jumped in the dryer, but found it the next day when it was to late.) I know that may have nothing to do with what started to happen but that’s the only sense I could make from it.

First it started with small things like our closet light turning on. Normally I can sense a bad presence but I felt nothing. I thought there may be something wrong with our …

Virginia Prison Spirit

I was in prison for a two year sentence and by then had been getting back into reading the bible and rethinking my life. I’m not some easily convinced person when it comes to the paranormal, and would say that even spiritual experiences should be tested and thought through using a little common logic, reason, psychology and an understanding of human behaviors and surrounding conditions.

I was on the second tier at the Powhatan correctional prison in Virginia. We were all locked down for the night. They have these huge fans that you can hear running like generators just outside the cells somewhere. I was on the bottom bunk of a two man cell. I was laying down fetal position facing the wall. My cell mate was sleeping above me.

As I lay there, I started to drift asleep when suddenly I felt somebody in the cell. It felt like somebody was standing there behind where I lay staring at …

Hauntings in Old Town Alexandria Virginia

I don’t know if you know this, but Old Town, Alexandria in Virginia is said to be very haunted. It is about six miles away from Washington D.C., and about an hour and a half away from Richmond, Virginia.

Anyway, my family lives in a very old house in the historical part of the town. My older sister has always had sort of a “sixth sense” for paranormal activity, such as feeling presences and hearing footsteps when I can’t. There is a back hallway where my sister and I share a room. She has been telling me about experiences she has had in that room for the longest time.

She specifically remembers floating heads in her room when she was two, talking to her (she tells me she thought it was God at the time) and a doll she believes was possessed. This is my least favorite story because it scares me. The doll’s name is Polly Dolly, it is …

Ghost Stories of Colonial Williamsburg

In September of 2009 I attended something called a Tavern Ghost Walk in Colonial Williamsburg. What it is, is that a tour guide takes us down a street, which is surrounded in haunted places. The guide leads us to each location and tells us the story. The following stories are not something I have experienced, although I did experience something while on this walk. If you want to read about it, check out the story called: ‘Shields Tavern Ghost walk in Colonial Williamsburg. In this story, I will tell you everything I remember.

Shields Tavern: In the first few years of Shields Tavern, there was a man named Mr. Marot, who owned Shields Tavern. It is proven that Marot was murdered in the building by his close friend.

In the present day, a man and a woman were eating dinner in the Tavern when the woman saw a man, dressed in olden day clothes with a brimmed hat walked up …

Shields Tavern Ghost Walk in Colonial Williamsburg

This happened in September of 2009, in Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia. I was there on vacation with my sister, my Nana, and my papaw.

We were buying our tickets for the day when I noticed a flier for the Tavern Ghost walk. My Nana asked if I wanted to go to it and I said yes. My sister didn’t want to go so my papaw and my sister went back to a hotel. My Nana and I stayed. We walked to the meeting place, in front of Shields Tavern. Our tour guide led us to different places along the street. There was this story of a girl who got run over by a carriage and died on that street we were walking on. The tour guide was carrying a little lantern with a candle inside it, and she asked me to carry it. I said yes, and walked beside her. My Nana was about nine feet behind us and decided that …
