Haunted After Surgery in Hospital

I had surgery there in MMC Hospital,in the Philippines this month, and am thankfully home recovering now. After going through many ups and downs and close calls, after my surgery. Constant high fever, that turned into a roller coaster of up and down. Constant vomiting, lbm, dehydration, all caused by a severe reaction to the blood transfusions I received. It happens, in cases of sensitive patients… which I am one of. It is an experience I would not wish on even an enemy to go through your body literally attacking itself to rid it of the “invader blood”. It is a very painful and debilitating experience that no medicine can relieve you from, your body has to accept the new blood and until it does, there is a mini war going on inside you that you feel every bit of.

We stayed in a large private room with a sleeper sofa. Our room was directly in front of the nurses …

Girl in the Mirror

When I was in college, I would take summer classes in my university in the Philippines called Ateneo de Manila University.  Being a 150 year old university, it is full of history and atmosphere.

During the summer, the girls would move into the third floor of the boys’ dorm called Cervini Hall.  So it was there that my friends Kat, Michelle and I spent our summer.  I remember clearly that we were in room 304.

As previously stated, the Ateneo is an old school and it was used as prison camp during World War II.  In any case, we’ve already heard many ghost stories from many people in campus.  But none of us had really come close to experiencing any. Until that summer.  It was the summer before we became juniors or seniors.  If I recall it was the summer that Aladdin came out in the cinemas.

Anyway, we had heard rumors that our room, was quite the infamous room. …

Paranormal Experiences in Manila

I’m from Manila, Philippines and I am now 37 years old, married with 2 young boys (21 months and 6 months). I have always believed in the paranormal since I was a child. These first 2 experiences that I will tell you is from our old house where I grew up till I was 11 years old. So here it goes…

1. My very 1st experience was when I was 8 years old.  My parents and I just got back from the U.S. for a vacation and then found out that my maternal grandfather just died.  We were all devastated and my mom was inconsolable. A few months after his death I was in our dining room when all of a sudden I could hear my grandfathers footsteps going down the stairs as if he was about to join me for dinner – which was our daily routine before he died.  I asked 1 of our maids to check out …

Three Crosses Carved in a Tree

Ghost hunting can a hobby to some, a challenge to many but I know someone who is really obsessed with it. His my friend Junar but the funny thing about him is he didn’t tried a Ghost hunting ever.

When we are drinking in a bar Junar always share the stories he read from books. I was not paying attention to him because he always tell that he really want to try Ghost hunting, until my other friend Jonatz told us where we can find ghost. He said her lola (GrandMother) once told her a very scary story but he forgotten about the details of that story. The day after that we went to Jonatz province with one purpose, “Ghost Hunting”.

After more than 5 hours of traveling, we finally arrived in an old house where Jonatz lived when he was young. His aunt prepared a lunch for us. After eating 3 of us gathered in the room of Jonatz’s …

Philippine Elves

Every summer, my best friend and their family would go to Bicol to visit her grandmother. She told me a lot of scary creatures she or her relatives encounter, one of these are the Nuno (elf or dwarf).

My best friend always go to the back garden of her grandma to enjoy the beautiful sight, when she was about to sleep; she noticed a small scary person sitting beside her. she was so scared that she was about to faint, the “Person” was not human nor was a spirit. it was wearing a tattered blue hat, it also had sharp teeth and scary brown foundation (skin). She saw the “thing” leave and disappear in front of an old mango tree. as soon as it left, she hurried back inside the house and told her cousins about it. her cousins told her it was a “Nuno sa Puno”.

Everyday, my best friend sits on the bench and waits for the nuno …

Woman in the Stairs

I just want to share my experience. I am Filipino. And paranormal creatures are very rampant in our country. I guess you’ve heard about white ladies, tikbalang (half-man half-horse), aswang (lady that goes out at night to prey), etc.

This particular experience gives me goosebumps whenever I think about it (I’m having goosebumps now)

One night, when I was alone in our house because my grandparents were in a church gathering, I was watching television. The mirror in the kitchen was adjacent to our living room, and from the living room, I can see the reflection of our stairs. While I was enjoying watching cartoons, I made the mistake of looking at the mirror, and in the mirror, I saw a woman or maybe it was girl, upside down. Her skin had the color of like what zombies look like. She was as if staring at me from the mirror though her eyes were all white. I froze for I …

Strange Footsteps

My creepy encounter happened about 4 years ago when our family moved to East Fairview, Manila, Philippines, in a two-story house. Our family, including my second cousin and our maid sleep on the second floor. We sleep at the room on the left side of the staircase opposite to my cousin’s room. Anyone who ascends or descends on the stairs would be noticed. The house looks like a little bit creepy to me because there are splashes of red paint on the walls at my cousin’s room, they gave me the idea of a horrible murder on that room.

One night, when we are all peacefully asleep I heard footsteps on the stairs. Trying to get all my courage to look who’s out there, I left our room and see if someone is still having a midnight snack. I wasn’t able to see someone on the stairs. (Maybe someone’s trying to make a prank on me), I thought. Feeling a …

My Uncles Ghost in Pampanga Philippines

I had an uncle that always visits us when he gets home from the states. Before his death he wanted to give me his necklace that is silver but my mom said no because it was too big for me and she said I just might loose it anyway. But I wanted it. So my mom just said next time. I think I was 12 then.

My uncle always smokes, that is his habit, even in the car the windows are closed the air conditioner is on and he is smoking. I think that is why he died. The last time I saw him was when I was about to go to school I didn’t know that that was the last time I would ever see him.

When I went home in the afternoon I smelled smoke for awhile but then I looked for my mom and my grandma. I asked my cousin where they are she said she doesn’t …

Ghostly Dream in Baguio Philippines

This happened in one of the popular vacation (and haunted) places in the Philippines when I was about 15. But still, this story haunts me.

Every summer, we would go up in Baguio to escape the city’s heat. Baguio is located in the northern part of the Philippines. It was once occupied by the Americans during the World War II. Since its located above sea level, it’s climate is pretty cold. Tourists and locals alike, flock there for the view, the history and the cold.

We stayed in one of the old vacation lodges there together with family and friends. We had been going there for quite a while staying in some of the houses, but this time, we’re able to stay in the middle lodge, which is the biggest.

One night, we decided to play dare on the porch. Braving the night to see if ghosts are real, peeking in windows of unoccupied lodges, really just to scare ourselves …

Friends Witchcraft and Ouija Boards

A couple years ago I became friends with this girl who moved to our town, her name was Tory. We became like best friends hung out everyday and stuff like that. Then one day she told me she had to tell me a secret so I was obviously all for it. She told me she could see dead people. Well, that was a shocker. I wasn’t sure if I should believe it or not because that’s pretty extreme, but she was my best friend and I took her word for it.

There was a group I always hung out with, Ray, Tory, Kautea, Sara, and Molly. We believed everything Tory said because she didn’t have a reason to lie. We practically became a cult. We started doing witchcraft and all this crazy stuff. (By the way I was only in grade 6 and I was gullible). I started doing it all the time, I did whatever I wanted. Ray showed …

Possession and the Spirit of the Coin

Third year High School – ASC – Laguna States Polytechnic College, Siniloan Laguna Philippines 1996.

I am very fond of ghost stories and everything about paranormal. Each day I am searching for new stories to read and pictures to see. Although I am scary cat, I love the chills, and I am not new with it.

I’ve learned how to play the Spirit of the Coin (Ouija) in high school. A cousin taught me how to do it and I shared the knowledge with my friends. At first it was entertaining, we thought that someone is only joking with the coin. We played it in my school every day, and it was cool because stories said that our school was haunted. They said that it was a graveyard for the Japanese Soldiers who colonized us 100 years ago. Some said it was a battle ground and many people died. Over the years ghosts were seen on different corners of the …
