Grave Yard Terror in North Carolina

One day I was at my grandma’s funeral. We went to the cemetery to bury her soul. We was in North Carolina with my family members. My mother and farther and aunties and uncles and cousins were all walking along. We heard like hums and sounds of voices like confusions and arguments like angry family members arguing and debating back and forth.

As we split up me, my mother and farther, and some strange man was with us. The cemetery we were at had already been having warnings all over it. So my mama was walking and she looked light headed. She just kept having a long conversation with the strange man. He was flirting with her and touching on her. She was telling him, “I’m married and there’s my husband and my daughter.” He just wouldn’t care. She told him to leave and go away. She got more affectionate so a lady came out. We didn’t know where she …

Lights of Fedelon Trail North Carolina

I have an odd story for the group. I don’t know if this actually was paranormal but due to some strange things in my childhood, I have always wondered. For the curious, I’ll try to briefly lay out those first experiences.

One was my older brother, N, who woke up almost every night screaming that he saw an elderly man who was bound with chains standing at the foot of his bed. Now you could chalk this up to nightmares or imagination, but it lasted a long time and when I asked him about it, he was very serious.

At the same time, I was having very vivid dreams of people I didn’t know coming to me in my dreams and just talking to me about life and little things like that. Again a child’s imagination, but when I discussed them with my mother, much to my surprise she recognized them! She recognized their clothes, looks and demeanors from my …

901 Aycock St Goldsboro North Carolina

I said I would post this story so here goes. Hope y’all enjoy it and I swear on my daddy’s grave it’s true to the best of my memory.

It all started when we moved to a new house when I was 11 years old. My family continued to live there until I was 18 or so. I remember we (my brother, mother and I) were all excited when we moved there because before we had been living in a ‘housing project’. So even though this neighborhood might still be considered the ghetto, it represented to us more room, freedom, and a step up in the world. But that all quickly changed.

It was minor at the beginning, a heaviness in the air and a constant feeling of being watched (and not by something that wished you well). Things easily put off to your imagination. Then I started to notice that family arguments seemed to become more heated than before. …

Dance Club Ghosts in Asheville North Carolina

In the late 90′s, I tended bar at a dance club in Asheville, North Carolina that was housed in quite a large, old building on the edge of downtown. The club part was a huge space but that only accounts for a part of the total space available. The penthouse was the owner’s apartment at the time. Much of the bottom floors were just storage or completely unused. Some of it looked a little derelict and ancient.

There was a huge indoor pool in one part that wasn’t in use. One night at stupid o’clock after the club closed, I saw dim light coming from that room and walked in there to check it out. For maybe a minute or two, I could see lots of orbs moving around in the pool in a very organized fashion. It looked to me like an after-image of a mete or maybe a swim practice.

I asked around. It turned out most all …

Hell Hound in North Carolina

It was Thanksgiving, the usual time my parents and family go up to North Carolina. I remembered the night before my Uncle had called my mother about some strange occurrence about a giant coyote taking dogs. I was scared about what if it grabs Walker or my brother who was 5 at the time. I honestly was terrified.

It was a 12 hour drive, when we arrived we went over to our uncle’s house, his neighbors set up a fire and then told about how their hound Fudge went missing. The collar was ripped off and on the ground. I was glad we didn’t bring our dogs.

After the neighbors went home, around 12 am, I went outside to call my friend, and then a horrible screeching howl came from the woods down the end of our uncles dirt driveway. I heard all these weird pack noises and growls, I raced back up to the deck, and one of my …

When I Was Growing Up in Greensboro

I lived in Greensboro, North Carolina and I still live here. But when I was born my parents had a house it was old not sure how old I don’t know much about it. I’m 16 and I remember the lay out of the house and few memories more of the scary ones at that. I remember the lady coming up to my mom holding my dogs tags and crying and I didn’t understand what happen but my dog died and it seemed like after that it all went crazy for me.

When I was growing up I had a angel it was my grandmothers sister she was there when I was born and few days later killed by a shotgun blast but I never seen her disfigured or anything she always sat in the rocking chair in the afternoons before I went to bed and she would laugh at me and smile. She scared me because I didn’t know …

Hauntings at the Keisser House

I live in a house, not very old at all, and not very far away from Concord, North Carolina. It was built in 1995, a 3,200 sq. foot, 3 story, red brick house with green shutters, located in a fairly large neighborhood. It appears as normal as could be, but once you have lived there and experienced things, it is anything but normal.

I have a whole plethora of ghostly occurrences related to the house, but I have selected the best to share on this website:

1) I was at home by myself one day, just sitting and playing my piano (dated 1878) in the front room of the house when all of the sudden I felt a cool breeze rush quickly past my back and then it felt as if someone laid an ice-cold hand on my shoulder. (Note that the windows were shut and the air conditioning unit was broken at this time.) My dogs looked straight at …

Evil Attic Bedroom at My Grandparents House

My mom’s parents lived in a house in Haw River, North Carolina that was haunted. My mom grew up in this house and I spent a lot of my childhood in this house as well. I can remember coming in from the school bus and sitting in the living room and hearing footsteps walk upstairs in the attic bedroom. The footsteps would continue walking down the steps leading to the door. I would wait to see if the door would open but it never would open and the footsteps would stop and start back over. I would always run out of the house scared to death and would wait until somebody came home from work.

My grandparents were somewhat very spiritual and read from the bible every night before bed. I on the other hand, am not spiritual at all. A lot of family members have experienced entities in the house. A lot have family members have woken up in …
