My Fathers Encounters with Lemurs

I don’t have much time left to send this so excuse any grammatical errors.

My father always claimed he was related to Leslie Grantham but I had always brushed him off and put it down to old age. It wasn’t until I was clearing his attic (he died two weeks ago) that I discovered some secrets I wish I could erase from my memory.

I found a couple of leather bound journals with various entries made between 1943 and 1945 where he talks about his friends Albert and Lettice. In fact, I have just realized that he never refers to Albert by just his first name. He always followed it with Lemur. I assumed this was a surname name but at the back of the book it has a list of “Lemurs” where it lists six names including Albert Frost 1927 and Lettice Armitage 1899.
