A True Truck Driver Ghost Story

On or around the year 2000, I was running a bid run from Gallipolis, Ohio, to Evansville, Indiana through Cincinnati, Ohio and Indianapolis, Indiana. One night I was headed home around 3:00 AM on route 32E., about three or four miles west of Sardenia, Ohio.

I was running along about 67 mph when I passed a flat bed tractor and trailer running along about 55 mph, which was the speed limit. About three quarters of a mile behind me and still behind the flat bed truck, I noticed flashing lights coming up behind us, more specifically they were red lights. As they grew closer I noticed it was the old type that spun horizontally round and round. As anyone would know today, if its not blue, then you don’t worry to much. They grew closer and closer so thinking it was an emergency vehicle of some sort I did slow down to 55 just to be safe.

The cruiser came …

Ghosts And Telephones

My husband and I went to visit my brother and his girlfriend on New Year’s Day in a town three hours away. We were sitting on his front porch late that afternoon and he asked his girlfriend to call the theater to see what time a movie started. When it answered, she walked to the other end of the porch to listen to the recording. Then he told her to hang up, it was the wrong theater.

She sat next to me and I watched her dial as he called out the number. Then all of a sudden my cell phone rang. I looked to see who was calling and it was my brother’s phone. I answered it and it was her. If she would have accidentally hit redial it would have been the other theater. I never called him from my cell phone that day and she didn’t even know my cell phone number. Not only that, but we …

The Woman – My Paranormal Visitor

First off, lots of thanks to everyone for sharing their experiences. This site is very well done, and everyone seems very honest and open about their experiences. It helps to read and realize I and others are not alone with these happenings. This is the first time I have written about my experience with a spirit I named, “The Woman.” I named her this when I was around 5 years old. I have always wanted to know who she was. I went to a supposedly real psychic who told me The Woman was my spirit guide, yeah right is all I have to say about that. I am now 23 years old. I will turn 24 in November.

I first saw The Woman when I was around 5 years old. I was living in an old trashy trailer on a Southern Indiana farm of a man my mother had married around 2 years before. Together they had a daughter, my …

Ghosts Of My Grandfather And Grandmother

I want to let everyone know that this is a true story, and nothing is made up. My grandfather was a good man for the most part, he loved my sister and I very much. I guess that my grandfather had gotten sick when I was about seven or eight years old. He came back from the doctor’s office and didn’t even say anything to my grandmother. He just walked back into the bedroom.

My grandmother was doing the dishes when she thought she heard some glass break in the back room. She went back into her and my grandfather’s bedroom to find him in his suit and dress shoes, but he wasn’t alive, he was dead. My grandfather had killed himself. From that point on my grandmother would wake up and tell me she would see my grandfather in the hallway and she would always see him.

Pool Ball Terrifying Real Ghost Story

In 1975 I was a six year old boy living in Columbia City, Indiana. My father had recently purchased an old farmhouse on the outskirts of town. The house was your typical older home, white, with a lot of wood features inside. It had a creepy vibe.

I attended A.M. Kindergarten so returned home at noon. My father was at work, and my only “sibling” was a step brother who was at school until 3:30 p.m. So, I am alone with my step mother. My step mother sends me to play upstairs because she is watching soap operas and I was being noisy.

So I go in our playroom, which my father had put his pool table. I decided to play around with the pool balls and was throwing them across the table into other balls, etc. Then I racked the balls and removed the triangle.

Blain’s Imaginary Friend

Our family has had several ghost experiences, but this one is about my cousin’s son who had an imaginary friend.

This cousin and his wife moved into a house in Fort Wayne, Indiana that was owned by our great aunt. Their son Blain was three at that time. They would hear Blain talking to someone all the time and playing house or having a tea party. They would ask him who he was talking to, and he would say his friend.

They thought it was quite alright that he had an imaginary friend and thought nothing of it, until that was all he wanted to do, and strange things started to happen. At times things were not always where they left them and the attic door was always left open.

Nikki, my cousin Troy’s wife, would often smell women’s perfume when she walked into the boys room or where he was playing with his friend. She got upset …

Haunted Park

Last summer my cousin (Lindsay) and I (Jennifer) decided to hunt for ghosts at Mounds State Park in Anderson, Indiana. We have read and heard about many odd happenings at the park, from little blue gowned people (never seen them) to crying security guards at the gatehouse (never heard it).

I started my search alone, and had several odd things happen. It seemed like something was trying to keep me from looking. I had a walnut fall out of a tree and hit me in the head. I thought someone had hit me, but no. I ended up having to go home, because I was crying and had a huge bump on my head for about a week. Next time, and the time after that I fell while walking around the Great Mound. It felt like someone had pushed me.

Finally, last summer Lindsay and I started hunting together. We were walking around the Bronnenberg house and saw a trail …
