Ghost Stories & Paranormal Encounters

I rented a house with my Dad three years ago in Rosemead, California. It is not a old house(actually just remodeled), but ever since we lived there we feel uncomfortable when either of us stay home alone. Surprisingly we find out stuff about the house after we moved out, and that explain the story what I am going to share with you now.

First I have to say my grammar is not that good because I am an immigrant from Shanghai, China. So I will appreciate it if you don’t bothered by any mis-spellings or weird sentences.

The house has three bedrooms and one small restroom. Everything was remodeled, new painting, new wooden floor and new carpet.But one thing we don’t really like is each bedroom has two big new windows on two different sides which just installed. It was coldest winter I remembered for California and the windows are leaking cold air inside, so at night we have to turn on the heater.

First encounter happened after three months, I was home alone Friday night waiting for my girlfriend to get off work so we can go clubbing. I was viewing some website for restaurant and I feel someone is behind me. I was calm enough to not turn around as I know this is not right, so I glimpse the mirror beside my computer desk and I see a woman shadow stand outside the window behind me with messy hairs (please note the window has some distance and the house has only one level), only half face show and it is so white and blurry. I was so frightened and I couldn’t move, the next time I look at the window and it was gone.

I told my girlfriend about this and she said I might just be too tired of working. I didn’t see the women ever since but I kept my lamp on when I sleep since that day. Then next encounter happened, not to me, this time to my father. My father does not believe in ghost. He is an old, tough guy who doing mechanic for a living. One day, my father brought home some to-go food and ask me to eat with him. The food is pretty good and my father speak to me all the sudden,”Son, do you feel weird that both of us do not spend time in the living room often?” he said. “Yeah, that is weird,Dad. I don’t want to make you laugh but I feel this house has this not belong to this world.” I replied. “Wow, I am not gonna laugh this time because I saw this yesterday night…”

After that dinner I found out my father saw the “woman” after he used to bathroo, she was standing on the sofa in dark, my father pretend he didn’t see her even he was frightened.

We decided to move out after one year. (not because of the ghost,as I got a new job offer from a big company which far from the house). I remember my girlfriend is helping me packing that night. As I described, the house has three bedrooms and we use the spare bedroom for storage. I had always suspect that the “thing” lives there. And that day, the most terrifying encounter happened. My girlfriend was going to move to new place with me together so she is mixed my stuff with hers in the luggage. It is around 8:30p.m. We were talking and all the sudden the spare bedrooms door slammed , BUGH!! I looked at my girlfriend and she looked at me as we don’t know what to do. The next thing we know is we ran out of the house and standing outside for 10 minutes without speak of anything. My father had already moved, so we lived in a hotel that night. We were so frightened so we ask several friends to come along with us to the house to move next day.

Two years after I lived in that house, one day I find out that whole area used to belong to one big farmer family. There is a unsolved case about several missing maid and the owner sold the property after that.
