Strange Experience in the Bermuda Triangle

Posted on June 14, 2010

Has anybody ever had this experience? I really need an explanation, it has bothered me since it happened.

the Bermuda Triangle

The Bermuda Triangle

Last July 12, 2009, my husband, sister and brother in law were on a cruise from Ft. Lauderdale to Key West. Late that night I looked at my cell phone and the date said Nov. 13, 1999. We should have been somewhere in the very western part of the Bermuda Triangle according to the maps I’ve researched.

The next morning in Key West it was back to normal July 13, 2010. I have a pretty new phone, it didn’t even exist in 1999. This date in 1999 was a few months before my dad died in an accident that could have been prevented.

My sister and I talked about it and decided to try to make a call if it did it again while we were coming back. Sure enough when we came back 4 days later it happened again the night before we were to arrive back in Ft. Lauderdale, the date said Nov. 15, 1999. Only two days after the first date but in 4 days in real time since it had happened before. Nothing happened with the call, it just kept ringing somewhere.

We tried to call my parents who in “real time” had both passed away. Just wondering if this is just some freaky thing that happens all the time in that area or just what is going on? I can’t find anything on the internet about it.

Well maybe it was just the phone reception. I had a sidekick a couple of years back and it always did that to me, it would turn itself off and turn back on to dec. 31, 1999. Lol. And about 3 or 4 times I would get a picture message dated 1969 but the picture would never load that was just weird but I’ve heard all sidekicks had problems so maybe it was just your phone.

  2. AnNa says:

i agree with speed.maybe just a phone reception.

  3. Jennifer says:

Maybe someone from beyond was sending a distress signal on that date. You could possibly look up people missing in that area, on the date that was showing up.

this is confusing.. u said July 13, 2010!? current date is June 25,2010 …

    Strange,…………… very strange

  6. Sherri says:

Sorry, I meant July 13, 2009, if you’ll note the day before was 2009 in the paragraph right before it.

  7. 1hunglo says:

Auto update of time and date on cell phones are based on signals sent from cell tower. 1/2 day away from Ft Lauderdale implies that you are probably far enough out that reception is sketchy at best. Your phone interprets the signal best it can and displays result. The fact that it was repeatable reinforce the idea that the same weak signal is interpretted the same way. Nothing mysterious.

    • Javier says:

It might be mysterious because the Bermuda Triangle has been inspected before and a guy had survived and described that in the air clouds would just join together a cause a whirlwind sort of way around the plane. There might be a slight chance of time and space manipulation in that area, making different transmissions through cellphones making it say ” Dec, 31, 1999.”

  8. ghost in the machine says:

Well being a tech guy, as far as I know “most” cell phones, cameras and the like will not let you roll back the date to anytime past the date when it was built.

  9. Neko says:

I can believe it. My dad goes fishing every year in Florida and somehow with his great navigational skill!!(Sarcasm) he ended up in the tip of the Bermuda Triangle. He knows I love this kind of stuff and so he told me about his experience. First off his phone decided to switch its time back to Feb 1986 My birth year and month, second he said he blacked out after receiving a phone call from home all he heard was static, which is weird because no one was home at the time the call was made. He was picked up a few hours later safely out of the Triangle, and his phone was normal, he still can’t remember anything from after the call.

  10. Pratik says:

My phone sometimes shows date 01/01/0001. And time is not displayed at that time. Now what is this. I live in india as far away fron that triangle. Strange

  11. Annie says:

it could absoloulty be that your parents might be telling you somthing. If that was the date soon to your fathers passing he might of been telling you something that would he would of done if he had lived. or it could be that the bermuda tringal messes with elecronics and can really confuse the server.
