I live in a mobile home and in, what is now, the computer room, a marine killed his wife in the middle ’80′s. I have experienced a medium sized shadow. It’s always a side view and it’s sloop shouldered. It comes from my left, like walking through the front window. It continues on until it’s behind me. I wouldn’t look until one night, I got really irritated and swirled my chair around to face it but there was nothing there.
In my bedroom, I read before going to sleep and always lay on my right side. On more than one occasion, I’ve felt like someone sat on the foot of my bed. From mid calf to my feet would sink down as soon as this happened. One night, not too long ago, I sat up and told it to go sit somewhere else. I have not experienced it since.
My husband, who had fell asleep on the sofa was awakened at approximately 3 am by the sound of a vacuum cleaner running in the computer room. He thought, to himself, “what is she doing vacuuming at this time?” He thought it was me. He got up, went down the short hall to the PC room and could see under the door that there was no light coming from within. As he told me, “I took a deep breath, opened the door, quickly, and flipped on the light switch. The noise stopped but there was a freezing gust of air that came from the room. Flipping the light off and slamming the door, I took off to the living room, turned on the TV and it was breaking day before I could sleep.” Now, he’s definitely not a believer in such things but will admit, to this day, that this happened.
Many more eerie things like my bedroom door, which was shut tight, opened and slammed against the closet. My husband and I looked at each other and got up to see. Sure enough, the door was wide open. It was definitely closed and the knob would have had to be turned to open it. Then… we have what we call ‘our little disco ball.’ It’s about the size of a soft ball and really bright. It seems to come from out of nowhere and rolls toward the short hall that leads to the computer room and disappears. We never mentioned it to anyone and one night, my sister and her husband came over. My brother-in-law was sitting on the sofa when I saw him look down and with his eyes, actually followed it. I ask him if anything was wrong and he said, “I don’t think so.” Later, that night, he told us what he saw. It was, indeed, the “disco ball.”
Surprisingly, none of this frightens me. (Didn’t like the shadow thing.) However, hubby doesn’t like to discuss it. People can believe or not. It’s their choice. I KNOW!
