Ghost Stories & Paranormal Encounters

I still remember that experience very well, like it was just yesterday. I was 9 years old back then. I had watched a movie that night which was supposed to be scary but it wasn’t very scary at all. But that night when I went to bed, that movie kept running through my head and I was even scared to be alone. My bedroom had two bunk beds where three of my other sisters slept – we all shared one room since it was quite big.

I fell asleep quite late that night, around 11, and then I suddenly woke up in the middle of the night not knowing what had woken me up. But I was paralyzed with fear I couldn’t move an inch! Usually I use my blanket as a protection as I feel quite safe wrapped up in it. But that time my blanket had slipped off me and I couldn’t move even to put it back on me. I just lay there stiff with fear thinking if I would be able to move ever again.

My house had never showed any signs of supernatural things or anything other than one night when my dad was reading Quranic verses when he saw and heard the sound of bags which were kept on the shelf of his room although the bags were empty. It was like something was walking on it and was trying to get out, but then soon it went away. But that’s another story.

That night I don’t know if the light was playing with my eyes, but I swear I saw shadows on the wall and I heard sounds of someone banging the tiles on my room floor. But I was too paralyzed to even turn my head around to check. It was like I could never ever move again. I lay there for hours feeling quite sad for some reason. The feeling I had that night cant be described at all. It was like I could never move or be happy again.

After a few hours of lying there silently without being able to speak or call out, I had a sudden whim to try to take my mobile which was lying right beside my pillow to call my sister who was right in the next bed. I tried to force myself to try to take the mobile but I still couldn’t move or talk. For half an hour I tried silently, but then suddenly I felt free but I still couldn’t talk. I took my mobile and gave a call to my sister. The ring of the mobile woke her up and she was surprised to see my number. So instead of picking up the mobile she jumped up to my bed and started to shake me. With a sudden burst of over-whelming feeling to cry, I told her about what happened.

Later we fell asleep with the light on.That night was the worst night of my life.I remember it just like yesterday although I’m 13 now and I still cant explain any of it.
