About three weeks ago, my wife got up around 2 am to go to the bathroom. I few moments later I heard her call my name. I answered her and she said in a frightened voice to “come here now”. I hurriedly got up and saw turned on the hallway light outside the bathroom. She was in the bathroom staring out the door and into the living room. I asked her what was wrong and she said she saw a silhouette of a person walk from the front door toward the coat closet. She said when she called my name, the figure turned toward her and faced her. She was obviously unnerved. She said she thought someone was in the house until I turned on the light. When the light came on it was gone. I turned on the bedroom light and tried talking to whatever she had seen. I did not getting any type of a response. I regret not having asked it to make a noise. In the next two weeks, she began to think the figure was her imagination. However I noticed she began closing the bedroom door at night.

Two weeks later, my 10 year old daughter and my seven year old son were staying up late watching TV. I woke up around 11 pm and noticed the TV was still on and got up to check and see if the kids fell asleep with it on. As I walked out of my room, I met my son. He said he was going to bed, which seemed odd because he usually has to be told to go to bed. Normally if he is up late watching TV, he falls asleep on the couch and I have to wake him and tell him to go to bed. I figured he was either really tired or was mad at his sitter for some reason.

A couple of days after this his sister, the ten year old made a comment about him being scared in the living room. I asked him why he was afraid and he said he had seen a black figure walk from the front door and disappear into the closed closet door. I looked at my wife and we just stood there staring at each other. We had been very careful not to discuss her experience in front of any of the children. I asked him to draw a picture of what he saw. The picture was a black person shaped silhouette.

A few nights after that, I woke up to hear my wife screaming and shouting to get away. I opened my eyes and saw three figures at the foot of the bed. I jumped out of bed ready to fight for my life. I was also yelling. The figures I saw were mostly silhouettes, except the taller figure in the middle seemed to have a yellowish green shirt. As I made it to the foot of the bed to engage the intruders, I heard my wife saying it was just our five year old daughter. I turned on the lights and realized the three of us were alone. I just stood there for several seconds confused and shaken.

The last few days have been quiet. I have considered buying a digital recorder and trying to get some EVP responses. My concern with this is I do not want to encourage it to make more appearances. I work nights half of my schedule and am pretty sure an unexpected visit from an entity when I’m gone would cause me to have to make a trip home during my shift.
