Sadie My Warrior

Posted on May 20, 2011

Sadie was a 3 year old wolf-malamute-keeshond mix. (Note this happened 4 years ago. I’m now 14.). I was 10 years old so you can imagine the size of Sadie compared to me. But she was a big teddy bear.

Sadie loved to chase the school bus whenever I would leave. She thought it was taking me forever. But luckily the rails separating the yard from the road kept her in the yard. That was until 4 days before school ended.

I had just walked up my driveway and Sadie was walking happily behind me. I had just gotten onto the bus, an we started going and I heard Sadie barking but I didn’t see her running along the rail as usual. All of a sudden the bus bumped twice and the barking stopped. We all looked back and I screamed as I saw my dog laying on the road. But my bus driver wouldn’t stop.

I had to go the whole day knowing my dog was now gone… I found out someone had poisoned my dog. The poison caused her to become confused and messed up her brain (Causing the accident).

About a month after that, a man that lived behind the woods reported being bitten and attacked by a husky like dog. The woods that me and Sadie used to go walking in all the time. He said it came out of no-where and jumped for his arm. Ripping and tearing at his jacket, then running off and what seemed like to “disappear”.

Then 4 days after the incident with the man, I was in my kitchen and I heard the click-click of nails on wood floor. But I didn’t have any other animals. So I called out Sadie’s name. And I heard the jingle of tags. Then everything just stopped… And then the click-click went over to the doorway. I looked and there was Sadie sitting in the doorway looking at me. I could see right through her. I just stared and then she just trotted off and disappeared. I whispered “I love you Sadie. You’re my warrior.” And I still hear her barking and the click-click of her nails occasionally.

Was the man who had been bitten, the culprit regards the poison?

  5. Alyssa says:

Maybe the dog that bit the man is Sadie, maybe she was trying to tell you that he is the man who poisoned her, you should be thankful that she loves you enough to stick around and comfort you

hello Becca . do you think a dead dog returned so bit a man behind the woods ? are you sure or asking to be sure ?First tell me please how you found out that it was been poisoned by toxin and why a man beyond the woods must decide to kill a dog belong a teens. i think its your mind reflex about that painful incident and it is result of your hide anger which show someone culprit. so you wish if your dog was alive therefore try to keep an expectancy in your psyche.for this reason you imagine may your dog be alive.
But i tell you truly your dog is dead and would never come back or appear so try to accept this verity

ok thank you for all your support a all:) Manns or w.e ur name is, its not in my head. We found out she was poisoned because we found something she had dragged into our yard an eaten. We had it tested(Yes we wanted to find out if it was poisoned) because it only had a few bites out of it an Sadie would v normally eaten the whole thing. But the man who was bit i found out was the man whos Bike sadie destroyed because he came into our yard.
