I am still puzzled after all of these years. Back in March of 1990 my soon to be husband, but now ex-husband, were living with his parents in a huge very old two story house. This house creeped me out from the get go. Anyway, I was nine months pregnant with our son and it seemed as though the strangest things would only happen to me. The house was wood floored throughout most of the house and our bedroom was upstairs along with two other bedrooms where his three brothers and one cousin slept. This didn’t happen to me all the time but it happened enough.
It always seemed when I would have to go upstairs the hair would stand on the back of my neck, I would get goose bumps, and my heart would start to race… then all of a sudden the old antique light hanging from the ceiling would begin to sway a little bit then it would start to flicker and sometimes go off. Then by the time I would get to the top of the stairs the light would turn back on. I would get what I needed then zoom back down the stairs as quickly as possible. His parents were usually in the living room and the first time this happened they asked me why I kept playing with the stair lights and I shouldn’t run down the stairs being nine months pregnant. I told them what had happened and they listened and seemed to believe me. So, they took turns walking up and down the stairs and nothing would happen to them. That really creeped me out! I hated that house!
Anyway, our son was born the second week of March and we had a wonderful homecoming gathering. It was really late by the time we all got to bed. I would say that it was around 11 pm my ex and I put our son in his bassinet beside our bed and he had been asleep several hours before that downstairs. So, we laid there in bed talking for a little while when he said to me that he was going to go down stairs and make a sandwich and get a glass of milk. He had been gone maybe 10 minutes and all of a sudden I heard a male’s voice say, “Bryan, Bryan” I said, “Really funny, Tony… Tony?… Tony?” I peaked over at our son and he was still sound asleep, then all of a sudden I heard my ex running up the stairs sandwich and milk in hand. I told him what had just happened and he told me he was going to go in his brother’s rooms and bop them on the head for trying to wake the baby. He came back with a blank look on his face and said, “Honey, they are all asleep.” You talk about freaked out, both of us were.
Now someone please tell me what in the world was that? I know I never imagined that. Honestly the only thing I could think of was maybe it was my dad who had died when I was just 14 coming to see his first grandson. Call me crazy, I don’t know, but, I do have several stories about not only me, but my mom and my sister seeing and hearing my dad after he had passed away. So does anyone have any insight on this? If so I would greatly appreciate it!

Hi Nicole
Yes I have them as well. In one night I can ‘repeat’ or ‘loop’ a dream, each time believing it to be the first time I’ve drempt it, but wonder why I feel like I’ve drempt it before and know whats coming next.
It is quite a strange experience. Its usually only upon waking that I realize I’ve actually drempt the same scene over and over on the same night.

I guess there must be a good sized message in the dream for you, AJ? Or do you do it when you are worrying about something? I could also see it used as a tool to actually ‘change’ the future?

Good question, Ama
Ummmm … I don’t seem to remember them being stress related??? That doesn’t mean they’re not, though. I’ll make sure to make a mental note, the next time it happens.
