Last night within my home my daughter (14 y/o) and myself experienced what I do believe was paranormal activity.
The home was built in 2010 on an old farm stead after a tornado leveled the original home. We have been living there since 12/2010. It started yesterday afternoon, when my daughter was taking a nap. Upon waking up about 4 pm to a noise, she discovered the kitchen chairs knocked over and placed around the living room and hallway. A jar of jelly was taken from the kitchen and placed on the living room floor. She had texted me to the events, and of course, I didn’t believe her.
When I got home from work I saw what she had described to me. I picked up the chairs and the jelly and put them back in their place. We then went to town. Upon returning back home, a pan of bread was placed in the middle of my kitchen floor. A pair of crutches (that were in my closet) were also in the kitchen. My vacuum was moved out of my closet and placed in the middle of my bedroom. I put everything back trying to find an answer to what was going on.
I decided to call my husband (he is currently out of town working) to discuss the odd events with him. Both my daughter and I were outside for 20 minutes while I was talking on the phone. When we re-entered the home, my salt and pepper shakers were stacked on top of another with a glass placed on top of that on my stove.
We soon discovered a plunger was placed in the kid’s toilet in their bathroom. Getting scared we tried talking to the “spirit” and asked them to leave. I went to my bathroom, with my daughter with me, upon re-entering my kitchen, my toaster was moved from the counter, unplugged and placed inside my purse. This is when we decided to leave for the evening, approx. 11 pm. I have not returned home as of yet, but will tonight.
What can be causing this activity? At first I thought it was someone trying to scare us, knowing that my husband was out of town, but when the toaster got moved while we were not 2 feet away from it, made me believe something else is going on. What are your thoughts on this activity? And is it safe for us to return to the house?
