The Mothman?

While it happened long before I was born(1997 for all of you who are interested), I find myself thinking of the real incidents with the Mothman, not just the movie, more and more. I first learned about the Mothman about a year or so ago when I watch the movie The Mothman Prophecies with my older brother. After I saw that movie I wanted to learn everything I could about the Mothman. Most stories that I read are fan-fiction to the movie, and most pictures that I see are so obviously hoaxes.

Now I have seen reports about what the Mothman looked (looks?) like, and have seen “real” pictures. What I would like to know is, could the Mothman still be around?

The Silver Bridge collapse happened over the Ohio River in the mid-70′s. I can’t find many reports of Mothman sightings (this might just be operator error) past that year.

When I was young, age four, I had an imaginary friend named Jack. We had so much fun together, until things didn’t get very fun. Our favorite game was hide and seek (He was the best hider obviously).

I said, “Why did you hide in a place that I always look first, Jack?” He said, “I like this truck.” Normally, I played with him, but before I met him, that was my favorite truck. I Saw But I Dont Believe

I live in the surrounding suburbs of Sydney, Australia. One day years ago I was at a friends house for dinner. Before I go into detail though I would like to mention, I’m a devout Atheist and although this memory is vivid, sober etc, I still don’t believe it myself. (But it freaks me out).

I have been close with his family since I was 5 years old and know them all quite well, which will explain some things later. This night no-body was home accept myself and, let’s call him Bob. Bob was in the kitchen fixing up dinner whilst I was in his bedroom playing his guitar. A Room in a Haunted House

I had this experience when I was 10 years old. Now I am 14, but I think it still happens. The story is as follows…

We had to move out of our rented house and there was no vacant room in nearby hotels. As we (my family) were searching for accommodation, we came upon an old house where rooms where available. The owner of the house was a old lady. She looked weird.

That night when we where sleeping peacefully in our room which was a kind of spooky,dusty and dirty. I woke up from sleep. Looking at the clock I saw that it was 12:00. Although I don’t believe in ghosts this scarred the wits out of me. What I saw was that the curtain windows were moving. Not only that the windows were closed. I thought I was dreaming but it was true. I reported this to my parents but they did not believe me.

Glowing Silver Figure from Earthen Mound in Ohio

There’s an earthen mound in Athens County, Ohio which sits in sparse woods beside what used to be a narrow gravel road atop a steep ridge. In those days no one lived near this place for some distance.

My aunt, uncle and cousin used to run the church in Carbondale since it didn’t often have a minister to preach in it. They would come from Conant to the north east to do this and went twice on Sundays, very early and then in the evening which kept them late.

At first they thought he was wearing light clothes and holding some sort of bright light in front of him. The Guardian and Satan

Well, it all started when I was 5. Although I don’t remember any of this, my grandmother always told me that when I would get in trouble and be sent to my room, I would shut off all the lights, shut the door, and sit cross-legged in front of my closet. One night my grandmother walked past my door and heard me talking. At first she thought I was talking to my sister, but she was in the living room. She opened the door to hear me answering questions and also asking them. This went on for a few weeks until my grandma (momo) asked me who I was speaking to. and I would always say, “the man in the closet.” Even though I would say that, momo would look and no one would be there. The Serpent Demon and Sleep Paralysis

HI, this year strange things have started happening to me. When I was a baby a “psychic” (for lack of a better word) identified an evil entity in my room after complaints from family in the house and from constant terror and screaming from me. She described it as a “serpent demon” and said it was attached (via a curse or something) to an old leather case bought second hand and stored in my closet – it was removed through a Buddhist cleansing ceremony. After this all activity (and there was a lot of it) ceased.

Now, about 22 years later (and in another house) I’m beginning to feel the stirring of something. My childhood I was terrified at the very notion of spirits and I believe I have witnessed actual ghosts before (family member) but this fear disappeared a long time ago, but recently it seems to have returned out of nowhere.

Someone Tell Me What This Is

Ok, so me and my roommate are kind of nonbelievers in these kinds of things, but there have been some really weird things happening in our apartment and I don’t know if someone can help us figure out what this is… because I’m pretty convinced whatever it is its not natural.

I recently moved out into my own apartment. I share the apartment with my friend, Sarah. It is in good condition, its small, 2 bed rooms, one bath room and a main living area with a small kitchen. We’ve been living there for about a year and things have gotten a little out of control. I’ll explain.

The Ball of Fire

As every summer, it was a custom to go to Mexico to visit my mother’s side of the family. My mother’s side of the family lives in  a small “pueblo” just like you see in the movies, some houses are made of adobe.

When we will go, we would stay at my grandmother’s house which is two stories. My sister and I both decided that we would be staying upstairs, since there was a TV and it also had a huge balcony where you could see the rooftops and patio’s of the surrounding houses (we were at the time the only 2 story home in that area).

My experience happened when the town was having a five day celebration, which is basically parties everyday. The Blue Thing

Fifth grade year: top of the elementary school students, grandfather died, saw my first ghost/spirit, got my own room, got really interested in nature, oh, one more thing, spent every recess from October – November (indoor recess from December-January) February-June looking past the fence at the blue thing.

It all started as a joke from the fourth graders to try and scare the fifth graders around Halloween. They thought that I was the only one to fall for it. I was the only one who truly saw something.

Home Sweet Home

Fear is something I’ve learned to control, being in the army I faced death every day, but there is no training to prepare you for something you can’t explain.

First off you have to know some things about me. I believe more in Science than religion so it was very hard for me to accept what has happened to me in the last year. Everyone knows the shape the economy is in. I do remodeling so I’ve been hit pretty hard by the frail economy. Work has been really slow to say the least. Me and my family lost our house and we had to stay in a hotel for awhile. Finally I got a brake, it seemed.

I made a deal with the property manager at the hotel to let us have a two bedroom apartment that he also managed across the street from the hotel in exchange for me keeping the hotel in good shape and doing some …

Demon Tried to Take Over My Cousin

I’ve posted a story before and although it might be semi-scary, this one is worse. It does involve the same people in my last story, me and my cousin Jess.

A month or so we had a scary encounter with what may have been a demon. A couple of nights before this, my aunt (not my Jess’s mom) had taken Jess, my other cousin, our friend Daniel, and me down this old, dirt road not far from where I live. She claimed it was haunted and we wanted it to be proven to us. She went to the end of the road and parked, but nothing happened there. Going back up the road, she went slowly by a spot that she said had something evil there. Note that this was all that she told us about this particular spot.
