During my High School freshmen year, roughly 5 years ago, a family trip to Mexico was planned to take place during my winter vacation. Naturally, being my mother land, I was overzealous looking forward to my trip in the winter. Although, my enthusiasm came with a cold fear: I would be staying at my unoccupied Grandfather’s house, the setting for the majority of my families’ horrifying experiences.

When I arrived in Mexico, my dad, who lives here, picked us up and drove us to where we would be staying. Ghost Orb in My Bedroom

[This story is quite short and probably has a good explanation, but this is tipping the balance for me to believing in ghosts]

A couple of years ago, I had arrived home from a school concert and walked into my bedroom without turning the lights on. On one of the walls was a circle of light, rather like a torch beam, but with no apparent source. It moved across the wall, then jumped back, then flew back across the wall, disappearing when it hit the corner of the room.

Opposite that wall was a sofa, some junk, and a window. The window had the curtains drawn, the only light shining through originating from the conservatory the floor below, although the only light that could have come through the curtains is a sliver, while the light I had seen was a full, circular medium-bright torch beam. There was definitely no-one in my room at the time, and no self-animated toys etc..…

The Ghost That Came Along Home

My friend Kim has been living with my husband and myself for a few months while she gets on her feet… well, she got very ill (she has diabetes) and actually had a near death experience recently while she was being hospitalized…

Now that she is much better and back home we have all started experiencing strange knocking; apparitions and footsteps…

One evening not long after she came home Kim claims she saw one of us walk into the kitchen. When she turned around to say something to us there was no-one there!

Moving Dark Shadows

I have lived with my parents for quite some time now in their home. Ever since they’ve been in this house there have been weird occurrences. Things have been moved from a place they were positioned. I’ve been hit square in the back with what felt like a baseball thrown at full force. No explanation from where that came from either. I’ve had the shower curtain punched while I’m in the shower.

Last year there was a dark figure with no face in my bedroom. It was very short, no face and moved very fast in place. It moved across the room so quickly that it was immediately in my face. Whistling From the Past?

It was in the Summer of 1991, I had just retired from the U.S. Army after 21 years. I was sub-letting a room while I was looking for work and a permanent place to live. I never really believed in ghosts until I had this encounter. I was alone in the townhouse and had started getting ready to go to my part-time job. I was in the 1/2 bath down stairs, and I was whistling, which I had a habit of doing. No tune in particular, just any notes that came to me, I stopped for a second and I heard the exact same notes coming from the outside of the bathroom. I called out and asked who was there, as far as I knew, I was alone. I did not finish shaving, just wiped the lather off and rushed to see who was there.

Singing and Whispering Spirits and a Black Shadow Figure

My story starts when my oldest daughter (now20) was around 2 years old. We just had a baby and moved into an apartment.

She would tell me there was something playing with her toys in the closet or there would be someone talking to her. I thought it was just her being a kid. Long story short, we have moved several times, along with 2 spirits. One of them she has named Sarah. She is no problem. We all hear her singing, whispering, and sometimes when only one person is in the house, moving something around in another room. She sometimes moves little things into different places all over the house that we can find easily.

I think she is with us to protect my 2 daughters, especially my oldest. About 30 times I have even felt her at my work. I know it is her because I can see her out of the corner of my eye or hear …

The Body in the Crawl Space?

This isn’t really ‘my’ story to tell, it was told to me by a former client.

In the Chicago suburbs, there are many neighborhoods that were once big, old farms, that were sold off and neighborhoods built up on the properties, with just the old farm house left. My client’s family, when she was a little girl bought one of these farm houses.

She told me the first night she went to sleep there were lights in her closet… I pictured them like pin points or little stars… she called her father in, and he told her it was just her toys, or reflections from cars driving by… and shut her closet door… except for now the lights were shining outside of the closet.

She said sometimes she would play with them… she’d tell them to make circles, go back and forth, etc… and the lights did. Sometimes she’d be scared, others just curious. She’d sleep with the lights on …

Daddys Little Girls

When I was 2 1/2 years old my father died (age 42) suddenly during the night in our living room of a massive blood clot that lodged in his heart. All I knew from that tender age until about the age of 16 was that he died when I was 2 1/2, but I was not told that he died IN our house. For YEARS during the night I would hear slow, footsteps come from the kitchen/living room area, down the hall to our bedrooms (my sister’s room and my room), pause at each room for 10 or 20 seconds, then continue back down the hall from where they had come. When I would hear them I would pull the blanket over my head and feel frozen with fear. It wasn’t that there was anything scary really about it, just that I didn’t know what it could possibly be. Okay, Right.

First of all, I just want to make it clear that I am very, very skeptical on all this stuff. Like 99% of all ghost stories are easily explained, but this has always baffled me.

I’m an agnostic at best when it comes to God and demons etc. I think whatever is going on in life or death, its far more amazing than anything any religion says. In my view, but everyone’s entitled to theirs and I respect that.

But ghost stories etc. interest me, and I found this site so I figured I’d contribute.

Anyways, my family come from a city called Winchester, in Hampshire (England). It’s one of the oldest cities in the UK and it’s supposedly very, very haunted. Over the last thousand years give or take, it’s bee the site of many battles and obviously seen a lot of history.

Shadows Walking Hand in Hand in the Woods

When I was a teenager I can remember my friend who lived in a house out in the middle of the woods. On the property there were two graves of the people who built the house and out of respect my friends parents allowed them to be buried on their land as part of their last wishes.

There was a narrow path that meandered through the trees about 200 yards before reaching the grave cite. One day around six thirty my friend and I were building a tree house for his little brother about twenty yards off the path when I noticed out of the corner of my eye what appeared to be two people. Turning my head I saw two disembodied shadows walking along the path hand in hand at a slow pace.

Entity and Townhouse Tricks

Hi everybody, I’m Jim. I’m 50 years old and never had any paranormal experiences until about two years ago. At least none that I’ve noticed. 3 years ago we moved into a townhouse. Two stories, three bedrooms etc. My wife made a friend in the school she was attending who is a licensed psychic. This person told us there was an entity of some sort in our townhouse. Little by little we started noticing some strange things happen around the place.
