A Story About Witches and Children From Nepal

Submitted to us by Selene

This is a story that my granny told me when I was ten years old. My granny lived in Nepal in the mountains. In Nepal lots of ghosts are lurking in every corner.

One day five families got kids at the same time. The night they were born they all disappeared. Only the bodies were left. So the parents cried and dug graves for them. The following night a man happened to be walking near a grave yard. There he saw five witches asking each other which child they had eaten. The kids had got eaten.

The man saw the ghosts of the kids playing around the witches. Luckily he was a fortune teller and a wise man so he got the ghosts of the kids and put them back into their body. The next morning the babies were back in their cradles.

Ghost Lady With Message for My Grandmother

Submitted to us by Jennifer Farris

I was sitting a my grandmother’s house one night. I was the only one there. Then I heard something from down the hall in the living room. I walked back there and there was an old lady sitting on my grandmother’s bed.

She started talking to me then I turned around to see if I was seeing things and when I turned back around she was gone. She said, “tell your granny that I said hi” and that was the last time I saw her.

How Long Have Aliens and UFOs Been With Us?

Flying SaucersRecently we passed the 60th anniversary of the Roswell incident. It seems like 1947 was the year for UFO sightings with at least eight documented cases. It was also during this year when the term “flying saucer” was coined as a result of an eye witness description of a UFO. This actually took place on June 22, just a few weeks before Roswell.

This story and all comments have been moved to the Aliens and UFOs website:

Higher Education Does Not Remove a Belief in the Paranormal

Some skeptics say that it is mostly the ignorant and superstitious that believe in paranormal subjects like ghosts and hauntings. According to the Skeptical Inquirer magazine this simply isn’t true. They conducted a poll of college students and found that about 23% of freshman and 34% of seniors believed in the paranormal. It seems that highly educated people still believe in subjects like ghosts, witches, clairvoyance, hauntings, spiritual or psychic healing, and demons.

In 2001 Gallup conducted a nationwide poll that indicated younger people are more likely to believe in the supernatural than older ones. This would come as no surprise as younger children tend to believe in things like Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy. As children grow and learn they are, unfortunately, discouraged from exercising their imaginations and tend to believe less.

He Talked To The Dead and They Answered

Submitted by David

Sam (not his real name, but this IS a true story) was a neighbor. He lived with his wife and their son. Sam had been in remission from a cancer but the cancer came back. The doctors said there was nothing they could do so hospice got him back into his own home to await the end.

Sam started saying that he could sometimes see “people” on the other side”. He said he could hear them and even talk to them. Naturally this kind of talk made everyone worry about him, but we didn’t actually believe him.

That is we didn’t believe until he proved it to us! Sam would tell a spirit to knock on the wall or the ceiling. His request would be answered by distinct knocking wherever he had asked! I know this is really hard to believe unless you were there and had seen it numerous times.

As the end grew

The Ghost in the Room

Submitted to us by Laura

When I was 7 years old, I was in Iqaluit Nunavut for a while. While I was sleeping in a room, my little brother was there too, I woke up in the middle of the night because the alarm woke me up. It had to be around 2 in the morning.

My siblings and my mom were in the kitchen. I woke up and it was pure black in the room. I turned off the alarm, put the lamp light on and looked to the door and there was a lady in a white nightgown, it was bloody, she had brown curly hair. She was looking straight at me! I was so scared, I didn’t know what to do.

I looked at my little brother and he was still sleeping. I wanted to wake him up, but I just ran out of the room. and went to the kitchen where my mom and siblings were. …

The Borley Rectory Poltergeist

Borley RectoryThe Borley Rectory Poltergeist is probably the most famous case of poltergeist activity. Borley Rectory was built in 1863 in Great Britain.

In the early 1930′s a fellow named Lionel Foyster lived there. Foyster kept a journal in which he recorded poltergeist activity he had seen and experienced.

There were literally thousands of events written in that journal. It seems that a poltergeist is a little bit different from the average ghost. Most researchers agree that a poltergeist is not a ghost, but is instead a manifestation of a some unknown energy. Opinions differ widely as to what the source of that energy is.

This is why poltergeists are known for noise and disturbance. Whatever the source, the energy responsible is a violent one.

Anyway, if you like you can read the whole thing about the Borley Rectory Poltergeist at:

The Ghost of Dr. Suicidal

Submitted to us by Christopher Bishop,Co-founder of Christopher and Bailey Multimedia Inc.

My dad cleans doctors offices. The first office he ever cleaned was one in which a doctor had shot himself just a few days earlier. Anyhow, this doctors office was freaky. Whenever you turned a fan off and left the room it would come back on. The doors shut themselves, the hallway lights turned themselves on and off, and you could always hear something rolling down the stairs (which is what happened to the doctor after he shot himself).

One day, though, I was dusting and when I looked up someone was staring at me from across the desk. His head twisted in a 360 and he disappeared. Fortunately, my dad no longer cleans that office.

Casper the Friendly Ghost

As far as I know old cartoons aren’t part of the paranormal realm, but I thought I would just do something fun. I’m not a youngster by any means but I still like to watch the cartoons. At my house Cartoon Network is Number 1 (When my wife isn’t home – just kidding).

How many of you remember watching, and liking, Casper the Friendly Ghost cartoons as a child? I don’t know about you but I still like the older cartoons the best.

Casper the Friendly Ghost has always been among my favorites. Even now I have the Casper movie with Ricci on the shelf as well as DVD’s with the original cartoons.

Back in the 1960′s I even bought Casper comic books. I guess I always liked comic books about ghosts and mysteries rather than super heroes. Tales From the Crypt, House of Secrets, cool stuff like that.

I was messing around at You Tube and found a few …

The Strange Ghostly Voice in My Recording

Submitted to us by Sammy-Jean Brungardt

Ok, Well one day me and my friends (Alesha :9 Nicole :11 and Hayden :5) where looking for something to do, then I found this recorder that Alesha had ordered from a book order. So as I sat there watching T.V. I recorded in dead silence. What I heard was a little startling! I heard a little moan and I got a little scared so I told my friends and I let them listen and Hayden got a little freaked out so we put it away.

Later we played with Haydens toy truck with the remote control. Then since it wasn’t my turn I wanted to play with the recorder but only with my friends this time, so I asked if I could, but only ONCE they said. So Nicole wasn’t even paying attention because she was playing with the remote control truck. Any way, in dead silence Alesha Hayden, and me where recording.…

Ghost in the Attic

Submitted to us by Felicia

OK, this is no lie for real. I would not lie about this. On my little brothers 6th birthday party my mom told me my friends and cousins could sleep over so my 2 cousins and my 2 friends stayed over, but let me get to it, We wanted to play “light as a feather stiff as a board”, we closed my air vents and closed all the windows to make sure that the candles stayed lit.

I was the first one they tried to do it on. While they were in the middle of it the candles just went out and then we kept hearing music coming from my attic and people walking in my house. My cousins and me were thinking that it was the dogs so my cousin Talicia went out there to look and it wasn’t. She came back in and said “there’s nobody out there”.

The music got louder and

Electronic Voice Phenomena – Voices From Beyond the Grave?

An EVP, or Electronic Voice Phenomena, is a recording of a voice of supposed paranormal origin. The voices are generally not heard by those who make the recording, but only on the finished recording upon playback.

There is disagreement, of course, as to what the explanation for these strange voices could be. But the fact that they exist cannot be refuted. Do you believe that an EVP is proof that ghosts or spirits from the “other side” have some ability to communicate to the living?

You can read much more about Electronic voice phenomena and here some examples for yourself at:
