Oak Street Skin Walkers

Posted on August 19, 2009

I’m not a Native American, I’m simply a Mexican girl… but North Americans talk about skin walkers and stuff like that… At the reservation you would see many shadows darker then dark itself. I was there for two weeks. I think  I was in Chinle Reservation. You need two flashlights to light your way and a knife in case some stray dog tries to attack you.

Anyway, I usually don’t believe what  those Arizona Indians say, for their reputation. I was  trying to find my way back to my friends house, which took a few hours. I was getting a little too creepy already. I felt as if I was being followed so I just tried walking faster to keep up. I tried to hitchhike but no one would give me a ride so I kept walking trying to find a path to walk into since walking on the hills only make you walk  around again.

I heard some fast foot steps and someone jumping around. I tried to stay calm because I wanted to cry for help, but I just grabbed my pocket knife. I tried to conquer my  fear. When a car was approaching from behind I turned around and I saw this white thing right in front of the car! But it moved so fast I couldn’t really see it and the car  was some drunk. He stopped to ask me if I needed a ride. I took his offer even though I was more afraid I was going to die since drunks often do stupid things.

As soon as I saw my friends house on the hill. I just got off a couple miles away. He wanted more than to just give me a ride so I ran and on my way I tripped so hard onto a huge rock. I hit my stomach I could not breathe. I tried to relax and calm down, but I felt a soft brush. So I forgot I was hurt. I got up, confused about the brush, usually supposedly they can transform into anything. If you can see their eyes and unrelatively sharp claws in the dark you are standing in front of one.

I didn’t know what to do but to wish for my friend to start getting worried. Since I was already close my phone had signal so it started vibrating and that thing just took off. It flew into the air and I never encountered one since then. I don’t have any desire to go visit my friend. I make her come over here to visit me since that time.

I cant really explain much about skin walkers but I can sure say I saw one and they are freaky looking. So any Native American telling you about some of their stories – believe it.
