Ghost Stories & Paranormal Encounters

I just want to say that I have always believed in ghosts. I have had many experiences in my life, but this one experience shows that family continues to watch over you even after they have gone.

My Aunt Mary died June 26 of last year. She was a sweet lady with beautiful light skin and soft mix gray hair. She was mixed with Irish. Emphysema took her at the age of 80. A couple of weeks after her death I had often wondered if she would appear to me. To my surprise she did. It was during one night on a weekend. I was watching TV and talking on the phone with my boyfriend (ex-boyfriend now) I had gotten up to get a closer look at the TV when I saw a head out the corner of my eye. It was peeping round the corner at me. I froze in my skin. I knew that if I turned my head it would disappear. So I looked closer out of the corner of my eye and I knew it was her. I saw the glasses, the pretty gray hair, and her beautiful smile. As soon as I turned my head she was gone.

I ran down the hallway to my mama’s room. My grandma (who died exactly 8 months after my Aunt Mary) and my mama was in the bed. I told them what had happened and they said she had stopped by to check on me. I smiled to myself and went back to watching TV.
