Just a couple weeks before Halloween I went to bed and my mom was left alone watching TV. My dad didn’t come home until 11:00.

Around 10:30 I woke up to a strange noise. I opened my eyes and there was a shadow at the foot of bed. It looked like a man was staring at me. At the time I shared a room with my sister so I turned around to her bed to make sure she was okay. She was fast asleep so I tried to calm down and I finally went to sleep.

The next day I told my mom and she said that she saw it too. She said that while she was watching TV she heard someone trying to open the back door. She thought it was nothing and fell asleep. Later she woke up and saw a man she had never seen before staring at her. She calmed herself down and went up to her bedroom.

A year later mom and sister went to pick up my dad from work and I was left alone. I was finishing up some homework and a few minutes after they left I heard a noise in the bathroom next to me. I thought it was my imagination and kept working. A few minutes later I heard it again, it sound like someone playing with the shower curtains. I thought it was my cat but when I looked up my cat was laying on my bed! I took my cat and hid under my covers.

I told my mom about it and she said that when my dad and her went into their room they heard a noise in the bathroom. They thought it was the cat. My mom went out to bathroom but the door was closed. She knocked to make sure if it was my sister or me. No one responded so she opened the door. The lights were on but there was no one in there and our cat was sleeping in our room. My mom asked my dad if he had left the lights on and he said no.

My sister overheard us taking and she said that when she was left alone while my dad and I left biking she heard noises in the living room, like someone moving paper. I asked her if it was Alice (our cat) and she said that Alice was in the room with her the whole time. Since then nothing’s gone wrong but I refuse to stay in that house alone.
