Ghost Stories & Paranormal Encounters

I moved into my apartment about 10 years ago when I was 14 years old around April 1997. The woman that lived here before moved one floor down because she was getting older and didn’t want to climb an extra flight of stairs. She only lived here part time, most of the year living on Long Island.

On Halloween night she was traveling on her way here when she was in a terrible accident and after a weeks coma she died.

A few months later I was laying in my bed getting ready to go to sleep when I heard a woman’s voice call my name clearly in my ear. I knew I was alone in the house so every hair on the back of my head just stood up and I screamed. Needless to say I slept with the lights on that night.

I have sat in the living room or kitchen and either feel something pass me or see something pass bye in a flash. Once I thought I saw someone walk into the kitchen and thought it was my mother, when I walked in behind no one was there. Then doors started to open or close by themselves, and I know the wind didn’t do it.

About a year after the voice I walked in through the kitchen door and a stack of sheet pans on a high pantry shelf were pulled or pushed off. That left me totally shook as I saw them fly off the shelf. There was no way they could have just fallen off, they were resting on a wide flat corner shelf. I had finally had enough and figuring it was my dead neighbor, called out to her and pleaded with her to stop, I said that if she wanted to visit that it was fine but not so scare the crap out of me. After that day she hasn’t scared me but I do feel her presence.

I know it’s not a scary story but I swear to God it’s true and wanted to share it thanks.
